They were almost there, only trailing behind the undead by a few points. Kemnebi pulled as hard as she could, a piece of glass slicing her palm open. Jack dammit, that hurt. Still, she wasn't going to let her dorm lose to a bunch of walking dead. Aymet once again gave the rope a good tug, which for a large skeletal dragon compressed into a vaguely humanoid shape, was a bit more than a tug. More of a yank. Sheelah knew it! They made it to the last round just as she thought they would. The other team members did great and she didn't do too bad herself. Now only one more round. Can her team win this one too? "Go fellow monsters GOOO!" Sheelah grabbed the rope really firm again and pulled as hard as she could. She sank back into the mud again and got cut by glass but she didn't let go. She wasn't able to pull that hard now but she really wanted to win this round. So she didn't give up and tried what she could. One more round--that was all there was left. While Elium wasn't exactly thrilled about going up against the monsters for what he thought was entirely understandable reasons, he reasoned that he'd just have to deal with it--after all, his dorm had made it this far, and that had to count for something. If they could win this one...

Last round, last round--and against monsters who were notorious for often packing a big wallop.
Gritting his teeth, Mort squeezed down on the rope and yanked as hard as he could--forget the stitches. Undead needed some love for once in their unlife.

Preventing herself from crying just stopped happening all at once. As unfortunate as it was for Shine, it was highly beneficial for the game of tug-of-war - she could no longer see any of her friends through her blurred vision. Just the rope in her hands. Merope clung to the rope and hauled. At first he was going good, and then he slipped and slid and managed to lose some of his claws as the rope was torn out of his hands. He managed to get back onto his feet and reclaim them, hurriedly picking them out of the rope and dropping them into his pockets to reattach later.
