It shouldn't really surprise Before that his performance was going downhill. He'd gotten his moment of competence, which seemed to be a ceiling for him and everything else would naturally be all downhill. It was still better than not having done s**t, right?
Right.
Keep telling yourself that Before, and maybe, just maybe you'll be put out of your misery. Or things will get worse. His bet's on the latter.

Shiloh's outburst stopped him, but the rune pinged off the back of his head just a moment too late. He turned around, screwing up his expression as he rubbed the back of his head. But Shiloh's request had Robert blushing, and keeping his eyes very firmly on the pink haired man. They threatened to stray. He would not let them. "Get down from there Shiloh, nobody's fighting! Well, okay maybe they're fighting, I can't tell, they're all talking klingon for all I know." He strolled back to the man on the box, and tugged him down forcefully. "I was just heading to find something useful to do." He leaned in and hushed his voice. "And give them some time to work out their s**t. You know?" Then, because he was a quintessential a*****e, he leaned back and made kissing noises. At no one. He was so very careful not to be doing it at anyone in specific, this time around. So very careful.

Nope, this was not happening. Not happening at all. In fact, it was so not happening, that he had forcibly turned Robert around, forcing a grin as he pushed him Mimsy's way. "Work out your own s**t," Shiloh muttered, shaking his head in disbelief. Definitely not happening. He climbed back onto the box. "My s**t is not involved."

Molly was nearly in tears. This was all very stressful. Not to mention the missile launchers were right on par in terms of stressful-ness with the monster that was attacking. All this talk about destruction wasn’t settling well with her either, but she had a job to do, and orders were orders…plus she didn’t want anything to happen to those she cared about as well.
That’s why she was sniffling as she took station at one of the launchers, and she was counting her lucky stars that she didn't miss.

So far, so good, though this small reassurance did nothing for her frazzled nerves and horrified and teary stricken face.

Mist DivisionLast shot...Molly flinched as the launcher went off again, and she was all too happy to step back from it after. Even if the last shot wasn't as strong as the first she had fired off, she was just thankful that she didn't miss. Molly wiped her eyes again with her sleeves, shaking like a leaf in the wind before she startled as one of the nearby trainees shouted and jumped up and down enthusiastically. "Y-yes...!" She replied, and forced a shakey smile onto her face. "Go-good job! You did great...!" Molly wished she had her enthusiasm at the moment. ((R1 = 60 R2 = 60 R3 = 40 R4 = 20)) TOTAL DMG: 180

That was right around the time where another certain Life division trainee spotted the group of people, and chose to wander towards them. They were afterall people he knew, and all in life... so that seemed his best bet right. Robert pretty much got the biggest frown. Why was he making kissy faces? So close to Shiloh too, had he interrupted something? Best not to ask. "Why is everyone so tense?" Quinn questioned, trying his best to ignore all the other sounds around them. He should be helping right? Quote: I hope you guys dont mind another.

[DEATH DIVISION] [Firing gun 1/3]
Lawr was - as always - having a very bad day. In fact, the only good part about it so far was that he was alive, and he wasn't even sure how much of a good thing that was. But there were orders being bandied about in the chaotic dark that he figured might as well be followed. So still covered in the foul blue vomitus of whatever it was that had eaten him, he made his way to where the other hunters with coats like his bustled around. And he did what he was told, or tried anyway.

It wasn't so hard really, and it was probably so dark no one would know it was him firing a gun. After all, he was a pacifist right? He had a reputation to uphold.

The guns weren't really durable though, and when the thing jammed up on him, Lawr made himself scarce so no one could actually blame him for breaking it.

Moon DivisionShe actually thought about that for a minute. Though when he pointed the gun at her, she took a step out of his range right before he too realized the mistake. "Paintball works. Honestly? You will learn quickly not to trust a book by its cover. Some of this technology is...unstable, at best." "It's not a matter of disappointing me, frankly. Just stay alive okay?" She had seen one too many newbies fall, and was growing tired. Approaching him, she pointed to things on the gun. "Basically you need to charge this best you can before you fire it. As a rookie they don't expect you to be able to pack as much punch as a seasoned hunter would, so just try your best. Just keep the thing pointed at your target while you charge it, because it could fire by itself once it reaches a certain point."

The unfaltering focus that Mimsy was so diligently putting towards the runes was disrupted by the sound of kissing noises. No. That would be freely handing bargaining chips to Lucky, and she was already too far behind. Her plan of retaliation was to just stare as hard as she could at the runes until she could devise another plan. Simpler than she thought, it turned out - she recognized a familiar voice, and hoped that he might prove that he could adapt to confusing situations. That was an enviably useful skill. "Robert was discussing the detailed method of how he would kiss Quinn, were he able. You may be picking up on a feeling of unrequited longing." She glanced over her shoulder. "Oh, hello, Quinn. What a surprise!"

Robert stopped making kissing noises the moment Mimsy said his name. His breath sucked in, because he really thought that sentence was going in a different direction, but it all came out in a choked exhale when she said Quinn.
And then he had to wonder who the ******** was Quinn-
Oh. Oh that was Quinn.
"No."
Robert picked up Shiloh in one arm, holding him up like a shield, off the ground. "Ain't nobody gettin' my kisses today. BUT NOBODY!"

Quinns mouth fell open, and felt his eye give a single twitch. Robert was what? Kissing? Why would Robert want to do that? He also could not stop the small thread of thought in his head from asking himself how kissing him involved kissing shiloh.
Though he quickly shoved that thought away. "Noooooooo I am good, thanks. No kissing required!" Quinn didn't doubt that if robert really wanted to, he could have overpowered him. He raised his hands up defensively and took a step back. He found himself growing frequently more thankful for his dark complexion, he was certain he would have been a nice shade of pink otherwise.
