Cassandra ran to atomica hugging her as tightly as the little doll could. "THIS IS SO GREAT!!" she started dancing to the music but off beat using dance moves she learned from Japanese pop stars music videos

"really?" Jewels looked bemused, then cried out at the sudden light display, covering her eyes. The glasses, they did nothing. Dazed by the glare, she staggered backward and flopped onto a convenient beanbag.
Taking her glasses off she rubbed her eyes.
"That's uh... great?"

"Always happy to lend a hand..." Marceline said quietly as Hellene and Layla rushed out of the bathroom, and into the laser light show that had become of The Looking Glass. She was content, for the moment, to just sit in peace and quiet and think. From the looks of it, she wasn't going to be getting a dress from Doriana tonight, who seemed to retreat to a corner to sulk for the remainder of the creepover; she felt bad about this, still feeling like it was her fault that everything happened the way it did, but there was no way there was going to be a resolution to that tonight. She sighed, picking up a tube of Spookidoki ma-scar-a in a vibrant green, and idly swiped it through her eyelashes in the mirror...

Staring back from the mirror at Marceline, instead of her reflection was a stately, ivory-hued woman. Her bright red up-do had blood-red curls spilling down her neck and back. She crossed her arms at the green-haired ghoul and spat out through slick crimson lips,
"SO. THIS is the ghoul who is taking my precious son to Tombcoming!"

As the dancing brought the ghouls closer together, Sally retreated back to the quieter part of the Looking Glass. She wasn't sure if Atomica still needed her for the dress, but she'd rather not be caught in the commotion anyway.
She looked around the darker part of The Looking Glass and tilted her head. It sort of reminded her of home, at least the dark did. Not so much the flashing lights and booming music. She let out a sigh and leaned against the shelf, looking down at the dress again, and the boots.

The darkness also drew the mole girl toward it, eager to escape the blinding lights that hurt her sensitive eyes. She smiled softly to Sally.
"Are you alright? Too bright yes?"

Sally heard Jewels and straightened up a little, tilting her head. She smiled, though Jewels wouldn't see. She shrugged a shoulder "A little bit. Its a lot of new things at once, a lot of things I'm not used to." she said.
She looked down at the dress again "Also sorta hoping I could escape and maybe get this dress off."

"oh goodness, let me help you!" She ushered Sally back to the makeshift changing area Automica had set up.
"Whileit'sastriking look, I can'tsay it's a hugely practical ensemble for this evening is it?"
She smiled softly.
"You're doing great ghoul, you'll get used to the surface world. Ooo there's so much to see and do, but the people are so nice!" She paused. "Where were you before here?"

"Waaugh!!" Marceline jumped at Mary Bludworth's entrance, jabbing herself in the eye with the ma-scar-a wand. It was bad enough that her reflection changed on her, even worse that it changed into the overprotective mother of her date to Tombcoming! And here she was, in her PJ's, green ma-scar-a smeared down he left side of her face... Marceline was certain Rory's mother didn't think too highly of his date at the moment. Clasping her bony hand over her eye, Marceline sat up straight and put on her New Goreleans charm. "Why Mrs. Bludworth! What a surprise!" She smiled nervously. "What brings you to The Lookin' Glass this time'a night?"

"Hold on a second." Mary held up one hand and then slooooowly climbed out of the mirror, her wide skirt squeezing through the surface and flouncing out behind her as she found her footing in the real world. "Ah. There!"
Mary stood up tall in front of Marceline. She had bright scarlet hair in common with her son, but instead of his shiny reflective skin, hers was more the color of aged ivory - and completely uncracked. Dressed in white and scarlet velvet, she had a distinct Victorian appearance. Her bright red eyes looked Marceline up and down, approvingly.
"So glad those other two finally left so we could have a moment alone together. I ABHOR creepovers." Mary shuddered and twitched her hands like she'd touched something slimy. "Now. I am here to find out. What exactly are your intentions towards my darling precious boy?!"

Sally nodded as they headed back to the little changing area. She slipped the boots off first and set them aside before stepping behind the curtain.
"Its...well, its an interesting look. Not my style, though." She said as she tried to get it off. Thank goodness for extra arms!
She tilted her head "I was raised in the forest. Father kept kept normies away all the time, so there never was anybody but us. I'm sure you can imagine."
She put her own clothes on quickly and stepped out again, looking at Jewels "What about you?"

"Me? I'm from down below" She pointed downward. "Centre of the earth." She smiled wistfully.
"It's just me and Papa at home, though of course there's other mole folk around. At first I was at school in the caverns, but then I transferred to monster high and never looked back. I love it there! Though.. it's a bit of a trek every morning up through the catacombs."
She shrugged.
"I remember being sooo confused by the surface world." She leaned closer to whisper conspiratorially. "First time I saw the sun, I screamed and ran for cover." She laughed. "I thought it was going to fall out of the sky and kill us all!" She shook her head, still chuckling.
"Ridiculous really, but down below, things above don't tend to stay so...reliably aloft."
She seemed to remember something.
"Oh, can I see the dress by the way?"
She was wondering if it could be salvaged for Marceline, she'd been promised a dress this evening after all.

Marceline gulped. If this conversation was going to end anywhere close to well, she'd have to choose her words, and actions wisely. Blotting ma-scar-a from her eye with a tissue, she took a deep breath. "This bein' my first creepover, m'self, I can't say I'm much of a fan, either..." Her gaze traveled to the doorway with a sigh as Mary asked her about her intentions with Rory... not a question she was prepared to answer at the moment, and she wasn't sure how to avoid it delicately. And then, she remembered a bit of Scarthern Hospitality her Maman taught her: always offer tea to houseguests! "Can I get you some r'freshments while you're here? Draconia put on a kettle not long ago."

Sally nodded as she listened. She could emphasize with the fear of seeing something new. For Sally, though, it was seeing people up close, and other monsters.
"I felt the same coming to the school the first time. I expected to see people run from me in terror, like I'd seen them do from my father." she nodded, handing her the dress. She tilted her head, "But I am glad I stuck around. Everyone has been really nice."
