Jameson blinked. "Oh, yeah, c'mon then. I'll let you pick. I had to find my smallest clothes for her." he hooked a finger towards Wylie, who'd pulled the sweater on over her ruffly cami, only to stare down at the lumps caused by layering the heavy sweater over the ruffles.
Iniko didn't look away in time, and saw her scars. As the youngest, the doctors had mostly perfected their techniques by the time they got to him. His scars were minimal in size, and not very vivid, but just as plentiful as the others. On top of that were the scars from stitches where he'd had surgeries to his muscles to increase their endurance for his speed. They were small, tiny little lines in the crooks of his elbows, and behind his knees, and on his shoulders... but he knew they were there.
Wylie, who'd done some sort of magic girl trick to remove her cami without the sweater coming off, threw it in the corner of the room, before glancing back at Iniko and Jarlan. "Well then, Cheshire and Dourmouse, get out. I still have to change my pants."

Jarlan was already on his way out, and just shook his head. "We know better than to stay for that, don't we Iniko?" He walked out, pulling his own sleeves up. His scars weren't as bad as Wylie's, but they were not as minimal as Iniko's. They were actually pretty big, and red in color. Not mentioning the ones down the back of his neck. There was a reason he kept it longer in the back and he shook his head. Now wasn't the time to think about that stuff. Rolling his sleeves down, he looked at Jameson and hoped he hadn't seen his either. He wasn't sure if it would make him emotional, considering Jarlan happened to be his son.
Nieve watched the boys leave, and grabbed her boots from under her bed. She sat down and laced them up carefully, why she chose lace-up boots no one knew. She felt elegant in them, that was for sure. Her scars were small, but they were an angry reddish purple from having to be scorching hot. It had left more burns than anything, and that was something she didn't want anyone to see. After all, they all knew they had been injected, but not how. She was grateful not seeing Wylie's marks, and having been the only one to not.

Jameson, who had noticed Jarlans scars, stopped him as they got to his room. "Hey. I'm sorry." That was all he said before opening his room, somehow sensing that it'd be better if he didn't dwell on it. Jameson's room was done in shades of brown, and decorated with furs, most likely more for the sake of warmth than for style. He walked over to a wooden dresser, most likely hand built, and opened the drawer that held his long sleeve shirts, and the ones that held his pants. "Aside from m'shoulders being a bit broader than yours, we're about the same size, so most anything should fit you. Including my spare set of boots." Jameson pointed to the corner.
Iniko rolled his eyes at Wylie, stopping to kiss Nieve on the cheek before he left. He sat down in the living room and sighed, closing his eyes. They'd all been through so very much... unknowingly, Iniko slipped back into sleep, and began thrashing.
Wylie, who'd pulled up an illusionary 'curtain' for privacy, pulled off her suit pants, and pulled on the jeans, which had a belt already attached to them, that she had to cinch in to it's tightest settling to even kind of keep the pants on her slim frame. Pausing a moment, Wylie rested her hands on her hips, thinking of the stretch marks... Dismissing the curtain, Wylie spun around fancily, like she was wearing a ballgown. "Tada, how do I look?" The sweater drooped off one shoulder, not enough to look bad, but enough to hint sexily at the fact that she wore nothing beneath, and it draped over her frame flatteringly for such an oversized shirt. The jeans, however, did nothing for her figure, large and baggie and much too big. Her white heeled boots didn't exactly help the image, either.

Jarlan blinked and watched, before following. "It wasn't... It' wasn't your fault." He looked around the room for a minute, taking a moment to feel the fur with his hand. "Oh wow. That's soft.." He joined his father at the dresser and smiled. "Thanks." He then glanced at the boots and glared at them. "I have to wear them, don't I?" He grabbed out one of the solid color shirts, thankfully it wasn't white but instead a blue, and then pulled out some jeans. "Can I borrow some socks too?" He felt funny asking, but if he were to wear the dreaded boots, he might as well wear socks too.
Nieve finished lacing her boots up and looked at Wylie, chuckling. "Might not want Jarlan to see that shoulder of yours." She winked, and stood up. "You look... normal. In a good way." Smiling she pulled on her dress a bit, accidentally pulling a scrap off the bottom. "Oops." Then she heard the thrashing and looked puzzled. "What is that noise?" She peaked her head out of the room and gasped softly, watching Iniko thrash about in his sleep. "Oh sweetheart." She muttered, and walked over to him, placing a hand on his cheek. "Hey now, wake up." She gently shook his shoulder with the other hand.

Iniko giggled to himself as he stacked the blocks on top of one another. At six years old, he was a bit old for blocks, but this tower was nearly the size he was! And this nondescript guy in a lap coat just kept bringing him more and more blocks! It was awesome. Glancing to his left, Iniko saw Jarlan asleep, and Nieve playing with a doll, walking it over his belly like it was a great mountain. Shaking his head at them, since they no doubt wouldn't be interested in helping him build his tower higher, Iniko turned excitedly towards Wylie. She sat in the corner, leaning against the wall almost as if for support, staring blankly out at the room, occasionally smiling affectionately. At nine, she was almost an adult to Iniko, and he ran over, reaching for her hand. "Wylie, play with me!" When he touched her hand, it felt cold and clammy, and Iniko looked down. There were bandages wrapped all up her forearms, and when Wylie turned her head to look at him, he saw tiny bandaids by the corners of her eyes too. They woudln't focus, and seemed almost glassy like a dolls. "I can't, Iniko. I can't see right." "Wh-why not?" "It's like I'm seeing four different pictures at once... maybe more." She reached out and touched his face like she wasn't sure it was there. "I'm sorry Iniko, I'd just knock down your skyscraper. Maybe ask Jarlan?" ~ The scene changed, Iniko felt a year older, and at seven, Iniko felt like he knew everything. He'd stacked the tower even higher, and stood with his hands on his hips, smiling proudly and smugly. "Hey Jarlan, isn't this the best tower ever?" Jarlan walked over, and swung his bandaged arm through it. "It's taking up too much space, Iniko! Clean it up and stop playing around!" Jarlan swung around, stomping over to the pallet he'd made on the floor, where he laid down and started crying. "I-I'm sorry In-iniko, you worked so hard. I-I just can't control m-myself. Maybe you should pl-play with Nieve instead." ~ At eight, Iniko was done playing with blocks. They lay abandonded in the corner, while Iniko was running around the room, pretending his spaceship was truly flying through the air. Stopping by Nieve, who sat in the corner resting her arms against her knees, staring down at the bandages Iniko had long stopped noticing on Jarlan or Wylie, but never seen on her before. Reaching towards her, iniko held out the other spaceship. "C'mon, Nieve why don't you take this one, and we can race?" Nieve stared down at her arms, weakly lifted on, gasped, and lowered them. "I-I'm hurting, Iniko. I'm sorry. Maybe for now you should just keep playing on your own?" ~ It was the middle of the night after his ninth birthday. He was dragged out of bed, screaming, towards the stairs. Everyone had hugged him like they never wanted to let go at his tiny 'party' between the friends, but only wylie had said anything, a whispered good luck that echooed and distorted in his ears until he no longer was a comfort, and instead seemed mocking, and snide. "No! No!" They dragged him to the room where he'd always gotten checkups, but this time, the nice chair was replaced with a bed, distortedly long and obscure, much too large for himself. They laid him down in it, and the smell of the metal and sterile environment made him dizzy. His arms were restrained even as he thrashed, and then his legs. And then they strapped down his head. "Start off with the receptor in his arm, and then move onto the mixture for his eyes. After a few months on that we'll begin the muscle treatment." The voice was low, fememinine, but not like the soothing lilt of Wylie, or the soft hush of Nieve. This voice felt like a worm, digging into his skin. Even as fingers poked and prodded his arms, he opened his mouth to scream, only to remember having never heard screams from his friends, only to realize why they'd never wanted to play. Thrashing, Iniko tried to get free, tried to save himself from their fate...
Wylie, seeing him trash about, touched in with his dreams, before jumping, and running over to him, grabbing his shoulders and shaking. "Wake up! Wake up, wake up, wake up!" It was rare that nightmares could suck you in so fully you couldn't wake up, but this one had grabbed hold of Iniko and would not let go. "Damnit Iniko! WAKE UP!"
Jameson nodded, opening a drawer and tossing a pair of fluffy, durable socks at him. "There ya go. Go ahead and change in here." He stepped out of the room, only to see Wylie leaning over Iniko with Nieve, shaking him, trying to wake him up.
Wylie reached her hand back, as far as it could go, and swung it down with all the force she could, smacking it into his cheek with a loud noise.
Iniko gapsed, and burst forth, tackling the person in front of him, which in his mind was still the doctor. They crashed to the floor with his hand around their throat, their nails scratching at his hands as their legs kicked. "I DON'T WANT THE NEEDLE! I DON'-" he gasped. "Wylie!" Jumping to his feet, Iniko backed up until he was against the wall. "I-I"
Wylie gasped for breath a little bit, her hands resting on her throat. "It's-" she cleared her throat, alarmed at how raspy her voice was. "IT's okay Iniko, I understand."

Nieve had been shaking Iniko with no luck, and when Wylie ran over she knew this couldn't be good. She was pushed to the side practically, and stay to the side shaking him with Wylie. "C'mon! Get up!" She watched Wylie pull her hand back and Nieve instinctively shut her eyes, not wanting to see the smack she knew was about to happen. Then she heard the noise and her eyes opened.
Jarlan thanked his dad, and set the clothes down when he heard the smack. Running to the entrance of the room, he saw Iniko tackle Wylie, hands around her throat. "Wylie!" He ran out, and was going to pry Iniko off of her, but when he had gotten there Iniko had already backed up to a wall. "Wylie, are you okay?" He looked up at Iniko. "What happened?!" He was containing the protective rage pretty well, trying hard to turn it into concern.
Nieve had jumped back and gasped when Iniko charged at Wylie, covering her mouth. "Iniko, stop!" She watched as Jarlan came into the room and as Iniko backed up to the wall. She still had her mouth covered and looked at Wylie. Surely she knew he was going to do that, and if Nieve was still there it would have been her. Then Jarlan got all protective and Nieve dropped her hands. "He was stuck in a nightmare Jarlan! It's not his fault!" Still, she made no movement towards any of them.

Wylie pushed to her feet, bruising already beginning around her neck. Resting her hand on Jarlans shoulder, she glanced at Iniko, before whispering into Jarlan's ear what she'd seen in his nightmares. Pulling away, she walked over to Iniko and hugged him, even as he froze. She rested her head against his head, petting his hair. Pulling away, she poked his nose. "Stop panicking cause you hurt me Iniko. Go look at your cheek, we're pretty fair and square." Turning, she walked over to Nieve and put an arm on her shoulders. "Do you need a hug too?" Oddly, Wylie had never seemed saner.
Iniko, who'd stiffened at the hug out of guilt, stared down at the ground, mumbled something, and then headed for the room, digging a small mirror out of his stuff. He walked back into the living room looking pretty shocked, a very vivid hand-shaped bruise covering his cheek. "How did you even..." Iniko saw the bruises on her neck then, and winced. "I... I'm sorry Wylie."
Jameson sighed, and rested his head against the wall of the hallway. "Is everybody okay?"

Jarlan blinked and glanced away, feeling slightly guilty. He remembered those days, well bits and pieces of them and he looked over at Nieve who was shaking. "Nieve, you need to calm down. Remember what happened last time?" He saw her calm down a bit when Wylie went over to her and he looked at Iniko again. He walked over and looked at his face. "Yeah, she hit you pretty hard..." He then glanced at Wylie, saw the bruising and shook his head. "Well, now that we're done scaring each other, let's all calm down. We promised Nieve would get her dress today, even if I'm the only one going with her." He walked back into his father's room and began to change. He came out, wearing the boots. "If any of you comment on the shoes, I'll make you regret it."
Nieve was shaking, not noticing it until Jarlan spoke up about it. Making her aware of it just made things worse, and she shook harder until Wylie slung an arm around her. Visibly relaxing, she shook her head. "I'll be fine. Are you alright?" She looked at the bruises and frowned. "That would've been me.. I'm so sorry." She looked at Iniko and Wylie, before glancing at Jarlan who spoke. She smiled and shook her head as if saying that wasn't an option anymore, but Jarlan made it so it was. She broke away from Wylie, after giving her a hug anyway and walked over to Iniko. "Are you alright?" She asked, tentatively touching his cheek. Then Jarlan came out and she held a laugh in.

Wylie smiled softly at Nieve, poking her nose. "No worries, Queenie." The mood had shifted a lil, and Wylie went back to using the nicknames. "Besides, it probably wouldn't have been you. I can't see you smacking Iniko just to wake him up." She winked at her, hugging her back when she was hugged. Glancing towards Jameson as he opened a closet, she caught the scarf he threw at her, wrapping it around her neck to hide the bruises. She could've just cast an illusion over them, but if this is how he wanted it to be, that's how it'd be. Then Jarlan stepped out, and Wylie tilted her head. "Why? They look nice." she pointed her toe towards him, laughing. "Certainly matches better than my boots match my outfit."
Iniko nodded when Nieve walked over to him, wrapping his arm around her waist. "I'm fine." Her cool touch felt nice on the bruise though, and he closed his eyes to enjoy it- only to open them right back up as images of the nightmare tried to trickle back in. Jarlan stepped out, and Iniko opened his mouth to make a joke, but Wylie spoke first.

Jarlan looked at Wylie and shook his head. "I don't want to be wearing them." He frowned and looked up at Nieve and Iniko."So, are we ready to actually head out now, and maybe try to be normal?" He then looked at his father, seeing what he would say before walking over to Wylie and raising an eyebrow at the scarf. "Well, that's one way to cover it." He sighed.
Nieve smiled softly when Iniko had wrapped his arm around her, and laid her hand gently onto his bruise. "I'm ready to go. I can't wait to get out of this torn thing." She was also ready to get out of it for the times it made her remember.

Wylie put her hands on her hips. "Well, Jameson threw this at me. I didn't want to seem ungrateful, and besides, it's warm." She lifted her chin at his sigh, before turning and walking over to Jameson. "We going by plane?" "Uh... yes?" "Alright, I'll go wait by the plane then." Wylie turned and strode out of the cabin, leaning against the plane and staring down at the sweater. She felt antsy in normal clothes, like they were smothering her. I bet this is how he feels about the boots.
Iniko blinked a bit at Wylie's departure, then glanced over at Jarlan. "Dude, I think you offended her. She probably liked the scarf." Iniko glanced over at Nieve, and down at her dress. "Oh. We should probably find you something to wear." He scratched his head. As the smallest- and curviest, no offense to wylie- Nieve wouldn't fit very well in any of their clothes. "Um. Well, we'll just hope no one comments on it." HE glanced at Jameson. "Well, are we ready to depart?" "Sure."

Jarlan blinked. "Ah..." He watched her walk out and face-palmed. "I didn't mean it like that." He shot a 'no, really?' look at Iniko, before making his own way to the plane. He walked out feeling like he was taking bigger steps than he was used to in the boots and looked at Wylie. "I'm bad at words, sorry. I'm glad Dad gave you a scarf." He wasn't redeeming himself, was he?
Nieve blinked at her dress and gave a nervous chuckle. "I'll say it's a costume.. or something." She shrugged and looked at Jameson. "I know we haven't left yet, but thank you." She smiled and detached herself from Iniko, making her own way to the plane.

Wylie raised her eyebrows in a 'what, you?' manner, before rolling her eyes a bit and shrugging. "No worries. It just reminds me of my cravat, which makes me feel a little more comfortable." She picked at the sweater by her shoulder, trying to lift it to cover her shoulder and sadly failing."Hm." She glanced up at him. "We're both going to have to get used to normal clothes and shoes, you know. We're in the real world now." She sighed, and glanced away, wrapping her arms around herself. "What if we can't make it out here?"
Iniko hugged her with the arm still wrapped around her, chuckling. "Sure. Or something." Then, following Jameson, and all but dragging Nieve with him, they headed towards the plane.

Jarlan nodded when Wylie explained that the scarf made her feel a bit more comfortable. Then he noticed her trying to pull the sweater up and flushed seeing her bare shoulder. He picked up the sweater gently, and placed it on her shoulder, holding it there. "We should probably get you a sweater that fits while we're shopping." He then looked at her and frowned. "That's not the way to think. We'll. . . we'll figure it out. We have Iniko to help us."
Nieve chuckled herself, and pointed out that Wylie and Jarlan looked like they were having a serious conversation. "C'mon guys~ Into the plane~" She sang it out, offering them both a soft smile.

Wylie smiled when he pulled the sweater up and placed it on her shoulder, but teased when he held it there, "You won't be able to hold my sweater in place the whole time I'm wearing it, Jarlan." When he frowned, her teasing smile faded and she shoved her hair out of her face, her head feeling oddly bare without her hat. "I hope so." Noticing the others climbing into the plane, Wylie rested her hand on Jarlans shoulder for a moment, before climbing in after them and sitting down, smart enough to buckle up this time.
Iniko followed Nieve into the place, taking the seat closest to Jameson, but leaving the seat next to himself open for Nieve.
