Dashner stared up at the score board, watching the screen, silently. He was amused by listening to Rorrim and Ronan's discussions. Finally, he managed some words. "Well, I guess I'm cheering on everyone. Even though if I HAD to choose teams I'd choose Marceline. She is my beastie, after all."

Then his eyes widened, as he got out his iCoffin and switching to the notes app. Note to self: Bro, do something with Marceline. It's been too long. He nodded at his screen and looked from Ronan, to Rorrim, back up to the screen.

Meme's fingers twitched with energy and adrenaline (and some of Ascreama's sugary homemade pastries) as her team lined up. She high-fived her team mates and braced herself for the- BZZZZZZZ

Whistle! Go!

Meme sprinted into action, smiling as the green witch sped ahead. "Go go go!" She cried as a couple of the opposing team members caught up.
The clown dodged the fire and flames and barely made it around the rising stone columns, pushing herself faster and faster.

A boo from the enemy competing team drew up close behind her, clipping at her skates. Meme focused all her frustration from the week into zigzagging and drifting, dodging the giant hammers pounded down from the ceiling of the dim tunnel and forcing the boo to follow close behind her until- BAM! There was a wail from the back! Rubble flew everywhere and the boo skidded across the floor on his stomach, before tagging out.

Meme's attention slipped for a second, "Aaaah!" She screamed as a giant hammer burst up from the floor and Manny appeared at her side, using his momentum to spin her around the column and he smashed through the solid stone.
"Thanks!" She called, everything was happening too fast for her to turn round so she waved a thumbs up vaguely in his direction.

She heard the sound of skating and panting and saw figures approaching in her peripheral vision "On your left!" She shouted at Manny as an opponent drew closer. Suddenly the tunnel twisted into a series of sharp corners and hairpin turns.
A vampire leaned, sneaking into a gap between Meme and the wall. "I hope you enjoy the taste of stone, Bozo!" He hissed, trying to nudge her out of the way.
"Jokes on you; your team seems to enjoy stone sandwitches!" the clown laughed and bumped the vampire's shoulder, sending them crashing into the stone wall and spiralling our of control. The force made Meme spin back to the centre of tunnel, out of the way of another wall of fire and back on track.

Atomica stood next to Marceline in the queue, watching the game intently as their teammates navigated the Stone Column section of the maze.

"Look at that. If I was out there, I would have already made it through the columns to the next section. My balancing servos are acting at 99.45% capacity right now." At least, they were the last time she ran a diagnostic. Which was....twelve days ago?!!! Atomica ran a groan cycle inwardly. Why hadn't she pestered Lin into running a diagnostic on her today?

...Because she didn't think she'd get a chance to skate, that was why. Atomica felt a twinge of an emotional setting she didn't normally use....nervousness. It was corrupting her confidence level and her hands twitched a bit involuntarily.

Watching the screen, the skaters entered darkness once again. They were exiting the Stone Columns and entering the next part of the track. What would it be?

The entire crowd in the SKRM arena held their breath as the skaters were suddenly bathed in bright, orange light.....the light of lava! It was the volcano section of the track! Glen had the lead, but blasts of superhot air shoved all of the skaters back as giant bubbles popped on the surface of the lava below the ever-thinning skate trail snaking through the lava pit.

"W-whoah........WOAH!" Manny Taur dodged a lava geyser that suddenly launched into the air on the left side of the track.

"Aw, man, my favorite part! And I'm missing it!" Heath cried from the bench. The lava arced up in the air and a giant puddle of the flaming goo flopped onto the track right in front of Manny Taur.

"OH NOOOOOOOO!!!!" Manny cried, unable to correct his trajectory in time. He hit the pile of lava with a giant skid, starting his skates on fire and launching him into the air. He was saved from falling into the pit by a gaggle of flying scargoyles. Manny looked down at the melted slag that used to be his skates. "I'm out, coach!"

As Manny was flown back to the bench, Clawd turned to Marceline.

"LaGhede! You're up! Hit the chute to the lava pit!"

Atomica burned with envy. Then, it hit her...if Meme, Marceline or Glen got knocked out, she was going to be in the match. If Glen crossed the finish line to start the second heat, he was going to hit the bench and...she'd be in the match! No matter what, she was going to be in this match!

Glen was a speedy little guy and swerved around each geyser of molten lava as best he could, and the ones that sprung up to quickly, well that was what his trusty spell sh00ter was for!

Glen was made to promise by his mom and auntie Glinda that he would use magic in cases such as these, and barking mad he may be (according to his beastie Draconia), Glen's mom didn't raise no fool! He didn't object and he bobbed and weaved, twirling his wand and swishing it, creating arcs in the geysers or causing them to divert their spewing form in a safe direction.

Glen knew the Monster High team had a good lead, as the original three members of the opposing school were taken out and the replacements were working at catching up!

Glen pointed his wand straight ahead and created a protective shield for himself and Meme so they could make it through. They came upon the large puddle of lava and instantly Glen created a bridge for himself and Meme to use to breach the lava safely.

Glen landed on the other side first and with a glance, he saw Marceline working at gaining up on them and smiled. She was catching up fast! She would soon...

*SPROING!*

"Aw fudgescicle!"

When Glen was distracted, the giant spider in the SKRM track had woven a large web in the path and Glen got caught not paying attention!

Watching on the scoreboard, Clawd jumped to his feet, "Atomica! You're up! And free Glen while you're at it!"

Chase, seated nearby the two boos, brought his fists down into the rail in front of them, causing ... well... (and kinda uttered an unsavory word at Glen being eliminated)...

Chase looked at the broken piece of the railing in his hands and blinked, then held it over toward Ronan and Rory.

Hellene gasped.

"CHASIUS EVELYN QUINNINGTON, do you speak to your MOTHER with that mouth?! Your SISTER?"

She stood and tapped her foot, glaring at him as her talons clicked against the bleachers.

"That's not my na~" he started, taking a step back.

"Your real name isn't long enough for how irritated I am!" she snapped.

"Wait wh-... OH NO!"

Dashner was startled by the disruption, shaking a little. Before he could blink twice, Rorrim was in his arms. He looked at Rorrim's arm. He smiled. "Bro, for an arm that's snapped off, you have a pretty tight grip."

He pointed at both arms.
