Heh while it seems it'll be awhile before that happens She said following her words with a slight laugh attempting to lift the mood. Lucy felt chills travel up her spine hearing Derek. Ah...No I'm fine...No spiders for me She said before sighing and turning her attention back to the ice cream. ◄
"Oh man... Just the smell of all this food...!" Xina could feel her tails wagging as she sniffed the air. She'd come to play a few tricks on some unsuspecting folks, but now that she was in the heart of it all... She couldn't help it. As she made her way to the nearest food vendor, she bumped into somebody. "Oh, I'm sorry! Are you ok?"

Who knows what she looked like before Xina bumped into her, this stranger with blue hair and downturned, saddened eyes. It was as if she came out of thin air and simply refused to go until the girl, now looking quite adorable with her contrite face on, would allow her to slip back into the blue of the sky. Did she barrow her color from it? Was it hers to name? The softness of her voice said she wouldn't have even if she could. ”Ah... It's alright,” she started with fingers flipping hair over her ear. Finally she looked up at the stranger, but only for a moment. "I'm just a little new here... I guess I should've been watching where I was going instead of looking at all the rides and things..." Back away again, like nervous jacks in the presence of a reef shark; the silent gaze of this newcomer made her grow louder, if only by appearance. By this I mean it simply looked as though she were crying out, the way one might assign volume to a painting, yet all there was were squiggles of silent protest from one whose anonymity on the line.

Xina tilted her head, her flame orange curls moving just enough to reveal the thin outline of black fur, a giveaway of her true self. Well... That and her white tipped tails. She felt no need to stay in glamour while at an amusement park! With a gentle smile (but still furrowed-out-of-concern eyebrows), she observed the stranger's moves. "Are you sure? I mean... You're acting like- Ohhh. You're one of those people! Well, it's ok! There's really no need to be shy!" Any hint of concern left the kitsune's face as she laughed it all off, already warming up to the stranger. "My name's Xina, what's yours?"

”Oh, I"m Teresa... It's nice to meet you.” She gave a little bow and straightened up a bit, nodding. "And I'll, uh, try to be less shy too..." She said--are you ready--shyly. On the other hand, the park was dying to be taken advantage of--NOT IN THAT WAY! Fun. Fun is what I mean: from the skee ball to the cotton candy; all of it was there for them to enjoy to the fullest, and it was seem a crime not to at least try to get Teresa to have some fun.

”O-Oh...” Tentatively, shakily, the new girl reached out to meet her hand. She looked down at Xina's paw (not literal) for a moment before looking at her face as she allowed her new friend to take her hand. So soft her skin was!
"... Are... Are you one of those Kitsunes? I hear they're super popular at the school right now---omgomgomg! I'm so sorry! ..." Her eyes immediately shot down again, pulling her hand back a little. "I didn't mean anything--it's just... The ears."
"Oh, um... How about the Cannonball Slide...?"

There was something about Teresa that seemed... Different. Then again, everyone had some kind of trait that made them stand out, right? That's what Xina told herself, at least, as she shook 'paws' with the other female. She was used to people having colder hands, but for some reason the other's hand felt much cooler. Again, Xina shook it off... Cold hands, warm heart!
She blinked a couple of times at the question before giggling a bit. "I am! I didn't think kitsunes were really that big a deal, though..." Another bit of giggling. "You don't have to be sorry! It's not like I'm in glamour, right now, see?" She grinned as she practically showed off her 3 tails, dropping the other's hand.
"Cannonball slide...?" The kitsune could feel her ears flick back and forth a couple of times as she thought it over. Curious unease could be read within her expression. "I... I don't think I've been on that one..."

And now they were walking. The park, if it wasn't already obvious, was something of a marvel; perhaps, then, it got buried the sound of Death City? It was always something in the metropolitan floating island--thing, but for whatever reason--stimulus overload or otherwise simply teenagers being aloof as ever--this little gem, though well cut, was in need of a good dusting off.
She liked coming to places like these. She and Lilith had always found the best places to find the most interesting people--because that's what one does with immortality--and so they often popped up around place in the city that, if we're being honest here, weren't Shibusen. The color of her soul today was one that was suited to someone who had just gotten into town. Was she a new student? Something about her was indeed off, but it was just as easily said that this could be accounted for with a simple dismissal: new people acted weird while acclimating. ... Or was it the other way around? Did one's "stranger-danger" index paint out newcomers as weirdos indiscriminately for a time?
”O-Oh...” Nearly half way there, as they'd be casually gravitating toward it as the talked, Teresa stopped and looked at Xina with apologetic eyes. "I'm sorry... I just sort of started walking. We don't have to go if you don't want."

While it was no surprise that this place had a bit of an older feel to it, it definitely had a diamond-in-the-rough charm to it that Xina just felt drawn to. She'd never really considered it, but now that she was walking with someone new... It kind of hit her, really. Wasn't there some kind of magic barrier around here that was supposed to help bring out happiness or something? That's what she'd heard...
But Xina shook those thoughts away for the moment. She'd almost missed what Teresa had said! "Oh, no, no, no! I want to go!" She smiled assuringly. "I'm just not really sure what to expect, is all... With a name like cannonball slide..." Maybe she really was too eager to please sometimes... But she really was more curious now.

”Ah... Well, uh,” Teresa couldn't help fidgeting as she searched for words. "I don't either, but it sounds pretty fun." And now time for backstory. "People... Say I should work on being more spontaneous. That's actually mostly the reason I'm here today." A nervous chuckle and Teresa had her big, sad eyes on Xina's. Though they weren't exactly sad this time. Sort of playful? Something like this was more often than not impossible to explain, remaining in the esoteric realm if ineffabilities two share when making eye contact for the first time.

It took Xina a moment to think of a reply. Why? Because she was distracted by the sudden thought of 'Oh my God she's so cute!' But when she realized she was supposed to respond right about now, she shook her head. "No, no! It's not, like, the weirdest thing I've heard, so... You're good!" She attempted to laugh off her moment of awkwardness.
