Rei watched as Kaoru cut Radiation "Good job Kaoru, we got her goo--" Rei sstarted as she saw Radiation still stood as if nothing happened to her even with cuts and scars all over her with green fluid flowing out of her cuts that didn't seem to bother her. Rei searched for Kaoru and found him laying on the floor, writhing in pain. "Kaoru!!" Rei cried out as Radiation's attack rushed towards her. Rei bit her lip as she removed her eyepatch. She knew Kaoru would be ok, but she still didn't like seeing her partner hurt, especially by anyone other than her. Rei's soul wavelength shot up as her power surged. "Here's your opening, Misa V2! Don't mess it up!" Rei said to Misa V2 as she ran towards the flurry of slashes and parried them with her hands. "Cancellation can work in this way too." Rei said as the slashes were made ineffective as they made contact with Rei's hands. "Now ".

Illo watched the attention of his opponent switch from him to a more serious threat. His new partners had some interesting abilities, and he thought of the fun they could have sparring when he got a better handle on his own ability. But that was far off in the future: This was now. He looked down at his wrist after finishing the thought to find that it had been left bare by Radiation’s attack, and that his flesh had either withstood or had been spared damage. Then he saw Rei blocking her swipes with nothing but her hands. Impressive as it was, he knew she couldn’t keep something like that up forever.
Illo wanted to make sure that Misa V2’s attack connected with Radiation, so he used his pulse ability, albeit carefully, to subdue her. His third eye glowed a bright orange as he raised an arm.
Pulse, said the mystic, and the entire room seemed to come undone from the violent shaking that followed.
The giant vats and strange towering structures began to wobble as if made of gelatin. The floor beneath Radiation began to ripple and soon tendrils warbled out to wrap up the target. After this they would pull her back down into the liquescent ground, and the ground re-solidify around her legs, making it all but impossible to escape. That is, of course, if Radiation wasn’t paying attention.

Radiation relentlessly attacked Rei as her slashes continued to be negated. Although her attacks were currently failing, Radiation could keep this up all day. If all else failed, she could wear down her opponent until they could no longer resist. However, she had left herself exposed by concentrating on Rei, her single-mindedness being a weakness as well as a strength. She hardly noticed when the room began to ripple, but by the time the tendrils wrapped around her, it was too late. Misa V2 grinned punching the palm of her hand with her fist. "Alright!" She cheered. Without hesitation she rushed forward, her boots increasing her speed using explosive sonic waves to propel her across the ground. With a lunge she pushed herself off the ground, cocking her fist back before releasing her punch straight into Radiation's chest. For the first half-a-second it seemed like nothing happen. Then Radiation's body seemed to ripple as the sonic waves emitting from Misa V2's gloves bypassed Radiation's outer shell and began to tear her apart from the inside out. The remaining vials of radiation on her back broke, splattering more radiation onto the ground. Radiation's black armor began to split and explode from the inside out, scattering black metal across the room.
Radiation began to jerk and twitch as if she were in spasms. Misa V2 landed and then used the explosive power of her sonic waves to jump backwards next to Illo. Radiation continued to twitch helplessly as she leaked radiation onto the ground. She remained dead silent the entire time, not uttering one cry of pain or anger. Reilly and Tessa were pulling Misa to her feet as Radiation suddenly dropped her swords and fell still. Misa V2's eyes widened. "Guys! I know this part! She's gonna explode and kill us until we're down to our skeletons and then they'll turn green and it'll be horrible!" She pointed towards a thick glass window that separated the group from the reactor. Coincidentally the reactor room was their final stop. "If you guys can break this we can get out in time!!" The engine on the back of Radiation began to whir and hum at a higher pitch as it prepared to self-detonate.

Kaoru clung to the wall as the radiation was still affecting him. "...I think I'm getting over it." Kaoru muttered to himself as he panted heavily. "I don't think I can break this wall just yet..." Kaoru said making his way to the glass. He wouldn't be able to transform into a weapon for a bit after taking such damage from Radiation AND using his strongest move. "Rei, see if you can do it." Kaoru said as he sat down on the wall as his body felt as heavy as lead.
Rei smirked as Radiation began to blow. "Ha! We got her!" Rei looked over at Kaoru and ran to his side "Kaoru, it's ok, don't worry. We can take it from here." Rei said as she patted Kaoru. Rei put her hand on Kaoru's chest as she tried to use her abilities to negate the radiations effect on her partner as it spread throughout his body. She frowned as nothing seemed to happen as her wavelength passed through him and he continued to cough. Rei stood up as she secretly swiped her tears away, angry that Kaoru got injured while she was there. "I'll make that guy pay for this." Rei promised herself as she went to the glass window. She figured Kaoru would probably recover quicker when he got fresh air and recovered enough of his own energy to combat the radiation. "Everyone get ready to go through the window, when I blow it, I don't know how much longer we have until Radiation explodes." Rei said as her arm flickered with bluish lightning. She slammed the window with her fist as it shattered to pieces from the blow. "Let's go!" Rei said as she vaulted through the door and slid her eyepatch down.

Illo watched Misa V2 connect with an impressive attack. He was beginning to daydream a bit on how he could teach her proper form, and that he was anxious to see what she could do with good training, when he sensed Radiation’s power running wild.
If only she fought with this kind a power… I might have had an excuse to test out my eighty percent!
But it’s a bit too late for that, isn’t it?He started in, not realizing he hadn’t been talking out loud. It was becoming so hard to keep track of, with his telepathy so feverishly acute.Are you going to be ok? He said to Kaoru. That was some technique you used back there. When this is over, I’d like to see how I’d fare against it. How ‘bout a little go round? Just the three of us,He said, incorporating Rei into the conversation, perhaps a touch too casually at that, but then again, Illo didn’t really feel that endangered. Sure, this place was about to meltdown, but then again, so was he.
Illo set his eyes on the window after he was done talking. He would gladly smash it if Rei didn’t want to, but at the same time, he felt his wavelength increase in frequency again. Soon he wouldn’t be able to control his power, which welled up in him like a flooding levee, and it would cause massive destruction. He just hoped they weren’t still in the lab when it happened.
This is incredible! I must be reacting with her wavelength. I don’t have much time… I have to at least warn them.
Illo watched Rei smash the glass with impressive strength, considering the battle and all. Then, after leaving the giant room, he turned to the rest of the group and said:
Hey… Everyone? Illo started in uneasily,I should tell you something about my ability. See, all this time I’ve been getting stronger. Once I open my third eye, my--how do you say--soul wavelength keeps increasing until I can’t control my power anymore, and then…His voice trailed off, but soon enough returned. We need to hurry.
Illo used his pulse ability to seal the glass behind them shut. This way, they wouldn’t have to deal with the fallout from Radiation’s explosion. He thumbed a rosary in his pocket, and kept moving according to the team’s lead. He seemed to fancy himself heavy artillery.
As the group dived through the open hole there was a *whump* of a muffled explosion behind them. Illo's quick thinking had contained the explosion to the radiation chamber. As the group landed in the new room, they would feel a large humming that rattled their bones. But unlike with Radiation, this shaking didn't cause weakness, burning or any other symptoms. Before them was the generator itself. The sheer amount of power it put out was rattling the group to their bones.
The Reactor
The massive structure loomed up before the group. They had made it. But there were two figures between them and the reactor. One was familiar, the other was not.

The man stepped forward, clapping his hands together. "Well done. I admit I was skeptical about how far DWMA students would make it into my laboratories, but I see Lord Death's faith in you was not misplaced." He gave the DWMA students a friendly smile as opposed to the stoney-faced Athena who stood silently several paces behind him. "Although you did have help from the murdering band of terrorists who guided you here. Misa V2 excepted of course." Misa V2 gave the Doctor a big smile and a friendly wave. "Hey Doc! I made some new friends and we blew up Radiation and I saw Nitric Acid and there were a bunch of Reavers that we blew up and all kinds of stuff!" She walked up to Doctor Faust, clasping her hands behind her back as she beamed up at him. "These guys wanted to talk to you." The Doctor smiled back down at Misa V2. "I'm glad you had a good time," he told her in a fatherly voice before looking back up at the group. "Though I have a sneaking suspicion that your friends haven't told you the full story about what they want out of this place. Oh, if you haven't guessed, I'm Doctor Faust; the owner of this medical facility." Misa stepped forward, raising her sonic gun. "Shut up!!" She yelled, firing a blast of sonic energy straight at Dr. Faust. The Doctor didn't even blink as the invisible wave rippled towards him. In a flash Misa V2 jumped up in front of the Doctor and extended one gloved hand, catching the sonic wave in her hand like she was a catcher in a baseball game. The glove absorbed the sonic energy even before Misa V2 had landed. "Don't do that." She told Misa, a stern expression on her face. Misa grit her teeth angrily. "Shut up you little freak," She hissed at Misa V2.
Doctor Faust held up both hands. "Of course Misa, pulling the trigger to keep your motivations hidden. I'm sure it's not the first time since you got here." Reilly stepped forward and lowered her massive gun, pointing it directly at the generator behind him. The Doctor gave her a wry smile. "Go ahead. Pull the trigger. Blow us all up. At least it will save your new "friends" from having to hear what a mistake they've been making." Reilly grimaced but didn't pull the trigger. The Doctor looked back at the DWMA students, Athena on one side of him and Misa V2 on the other. "Well? How about it? Would you like to hear the real reason you're here? The irreversible mistake you're about to make? Or would you rather complete the mission without asking questions? I guess it would be easier for you to sleep at night that way; believing you did the world a favor by destroying this place. But the truth will set you free as they say. Would you like to know?" Misa looked back at the DWMA students. "Don't listen to him!" She insisted, a wild desperation in her eyes. "He's a liar! He'll just try and confuse you!"

Kaoru let out a small laugh as he listened to Illo's request. Usually people didn't ask for a fight, especially after seeing the heavy attack Kaoru just pulled off. "Sure man, but how about a little after the mission? I'm probably gonna feel this churning in my stomach for a few weeks." Kaoru said as he almost felt like gagging. He was getting over the effects of the Radiation rather quickly thanks to Rei and his own abilities, but he still had to resist the urge to puke with each step he took. Kaoru put his arm around Rei's shoulder to help balance himself and keep him standing as he walked with the group. Kaoru whistled as the walked into the reactor, "Man, this Doctor lives in style." Kaoru jumped a little when he heard clapping and saw the Doctor along with an assistant. He listened to the Doctor until a pulse rippled past him at sonic speeds, Misa must have really hated this guy. But Kaoru was even more surprised to see Misa V2 block the shot. "Uhhh... My guess is, that's not part of the plan, right?" Kaoru said getting really confused. "Shouldn't robots of the same name sorta have the same ideals? Or is that not how it works in the motherboard?" He said jokingly as the situation grew tense. Kaoru listened to the Docotr and Misa bicker, "Well, I do like stories... But then again, it's thanks to you and your robots that I'm gonna be seeing last week's menu." Kaoru stated. "How about we listen to your story and if it's not funny enough or it gets boring we kill him? Besides, if it's all lies we end him, we go back, and I can tell my friends about how I met a doctor who has no sense of humor. It's a win win for me either way."

Illo smiled at Kaoru. For someone so drained, his resolve was remarkable as he pressed on with the help of Rei. The monk lagged a bit behind them, a little lost in thought. When he approached the room he could hear voices, and he sensed the presence of a familiar soul on the opposing side. Also, he felt a certain deja vu as he saw a man in a white coat through the corridor, talking to his group. He wasn’t sure what was happening, but he knew he could also feel the tremendous power waiting beyond the doorway. Whatever was there, this had to be the final act.
Illo stepped into the reactor room and immediately felt a surge of energy run right through him. The radiation was even stronger here, and it triggered a response in Illo that he couldn't stop. He teleported over to the reactor core, ignoring the conversation at hand, and started resonating with the core itself. As he did, something strange happened. Giant luminous arcs oozed and wriggled their way out of Illo and swept the room like plasmatic phantoms. It was raw psychic energy.
His soul was clashing and rejoining with the core, and so this was the byproduct. Soon enough, he would overload the core, but he was curious to see which power was bigger: his or the plant’s? Without looking back, he spoke at the group in warning.
Thirty minutes remain. If you’re going to talk, make it quick, and then evacuate. Illo spoke in a more stern, and more automanton voice.

Sorry guys! I've been really bogged down with my work and studies. I'm super sorry for the long wait you guys.... sweatdrop
Rei walked with the group to the reactor core, watching Kaoru, he would get better, but she didn't like seeing him hurt. She was snapped back to reality as a man in a white lab coat and what seemed to be her assistant walked up to her. She gritted her teeth as she glared at the doctor. Rei was about to clobber him with her own fists, until a pulse of sonic energy raced past her. Misa, she thought as she smirked until Misa V2 blocked the wave. "What are you doing!?" Rei exclaimed flabbergasted that the person who just helped her was now standing in the way of, not only their initial target, but also the one who hurt her partner giving her even more reason to take him out. Rei balled her hands into fists as she swelled with rage. "We should take him out now." Rei said angrily in unison with Misa. Rei eased her hands as she realized how angry she was getting. This mission seemed so simple, but as they got closer the mission began to become more ad more confusing. She remembered Dust and the Scavenger as the Doctor talked. Rei had to know what she was getting into, but she still wantted to pummel the man. She stared in amazement as Kaoru decided to let him talk, had he not realized this man made the machines that hurt him? Or was he just an idiot? "Fine, I'll make an exception..." Rei sighed as she looked at Kaoru. "You have 5 minutes. Tell me everything, if I feel you're stalling for time or trying to lie to me, I'll kill you on the spot." she warned

Doctor Faust looked over at Illo as he prepared to overload the reactor, then back at the WeaponMeister team and the girls. "Well, thank you for your generosity," he told them with a light smile. "Illo what are you doing!!?" Cried Misa V2 as she saw Illo begin to overload the reactor. "You're gonna make it explode even worse than Radiation!" Dr. Faust put his hand on Misa V2's head. "Don't worry. He's obviously a good person to take care of you. He'll change his mind once he hears us out." Misa V2 still looked concerned but nodded slowly. Dr. Faust held his hands out, now addressing the group in general. "I'm sure your...friends here have told you that you're attacking a Weapons facility dedicated to stealing little girls and creating super-soldiers. That's not true." He looked down at Misa V2 before looking at the group again. "It's true that we do many weapons contracts for a variety of clients, but the money goes to saving lives here. You see, the girls you broke in here with, as well as the ones you've killed and Athena, Misa V2 and the rest...they were all dying before they came here. There were different things. Diseases, fatal injuries, shattered souls. But they all had the same ending."
Dr. Faust placed a hand on Misa V2's head. "This little one here was dying of a flesh-eating necrosis disease. It's a disease that eats your body up. You see how her ears are replaced with sub-sonic frequency headphones? That's because her ears were eaten away before she arrived here. Next would have been her nose. Then her lips. Then her fingers and toes. Her hands and feet. Arms and legs. And lastly the rest of her body. This facility here saved her life by ridding her of the disease, though it was necessary to replace some of the diseased parts of her body with cybernetic augmentations. And we save lives every day. The same is true of your compatriots there. They were all, at one point, terminal. I saved their lives." He gave a wry smile. "Of course, something like this isn't free. It requires money. And money requires contracts. As part of the contract, these girls need to fight for their contractors for a single year." He gave a shrug. "But when it came time to pay the piper, they ran away instead. Only then. Not before. Before they were perfectly happy to live here. Now, if it was just them I might let it go. But you see, not paying back a contract has certain negative consequences. Namely, no one will pay us for any more contracts. Which means this place closes down. Which means all the people we could have saved will die."
His gaze slowly went over Illo, Kaoru and Rei. "This isn't a business. Our sole profit is in helping these people."

Kaoru made a confused face as Faust talked, clearly this information was too much for him to handle. "Wait, so you're saving lives, right? Then why not just create augments that aren't super-violent cuz then you can save lives and let them walk away freely." Kaoru said trying to sort out what the heard. "I'd be happy if you saved my life too, if I were near death, but if I almost died and then when I got better, the person who told me to go back out there and possibly die again, I'd probably run away too." Kaoru said as he stood up coughing out the last bits of Radiation's poison. "I'm not saying what you're doing here isn't good and all, but maybe there's a way to help them peacefully and still get money for these operations. I'll bet that if you told the world that you could offer the dying a second chance with these cybernetic adjustments of yours people would be more than happy to grant you the money you need and you'd be able to save more people." Kaoru said, for once sounding kind of smart, as he looked over at Rei and gave her a provoking smirk.
Rei watched Kaoru stunned, he actually had a brain in that head of his. "Well, that was impressive..." Rei said as she stared innocently at Kaoru letting him know she still thought he was an idiot. "Although, there is a point to what he's saying." Rei said "But, really, there are so many things here that we don't understand. That dragon and those other robots we saw earlier. You're not going to tell us that you found them dying and helped them as well are you? Clearly, if you planned on making these girls fight for money since day one. I figure it's probably why this place is so hard to get into, what with all the guards and sentries around here." Rei glared at the Doctor. "Unlike you, there are real doctors out there committed to saving lives, for free with no money and sometimes all on there own. Those people ask for nothing in return, but you, you thrive on the weak and deprived and give them a haven. They revere you, and why not? You saved there lives. Then you send them out to fulfill your contracts and dirty work for money and inventions all to keep up this farce. It's foolproof, they bloody their hands, not yours, right? Is that why it's so guarded here? Because maybe you realized that eventually one of your followers would realize your actions. They'd turn against you and when they did, who would be there to stop them, that's why you kept creating more loyal subjects to experiment on, getting more money, inventing more advanced and lethal weapons, and even creating those guards to watch the fortress you hide yourself in and play god." Rei said confidently, she didn't feel this man was a saint. If his acts were truly as noble as he says they were, she wouldn't be standing in front of him right now. "If it's up to me I'd run you through right where you stand, but I won't move until Illo makes his own verdict on what you said."

Illo was enthralled with his resonance. He could feel the "soul" of the plant begin to resonate faster, as he pumped his frequency into the core and brought the resonance up higher and higher. Soon alarms would go off, and a dim red light would come into the room, along with a strange high pitch din that most people wouldn't notice. Misa V2 would probably cover her ears at this, but Illo didn't care. He didn't sense "harmful radiation," he sensed a powerful soul that could rival his own, something that he hadn't found here. After all, he had been advised to flee to a desolate area, devoid of life, when his power reached the 50% threshold, and yet here he was over 80. What in the world could challenge him? More importantly, how far could he go? Monks be damned, he was going for it. As Illo turned up the dial on his resonance, the tentacles that were created would wander out farther, eventually reaching the doorway of the great room. The monk was making a humming sound now with his mouth, and his third eye shined so bright that it looked like a miniature star had formed in the center of the room. At this point Illo heard something that was strange to him: his name from the lips of a comrade. He turned around upon hearing this to correct Rei.
I am not the being that you knew before. I am not Illo, the simple monk. I am... One, The monk said this as he faced the group. Little did he know that when he turned, a slue of tentacles would sweep the room, making it appear that Illo was attacking, when in reality he couldn't care less about the fight.
I only wish to resonate... I feel that this place will soon begin to crumble away. You should flee, if you know what's best for you.

Dr. Faust's expression quickly turned from one of calm to one of anger as each of the three students made their call. "You fools!" He yelled as the generator began to overload. Misa grinned as she heard the students. "That's right," she said. "No one's going to kill for you anymore." She raised her sonic gun towards the Doctor. "You don't get it! These girls aren't just physically augmented! They need to be in a controlled environment or-" Suddenly The Doctor's eyes widened as Misa pulled the trigger, cutting him off as the sonic pulse blew a hole clean through his stomach. He took a few step backwards, opening and closing his mouth as he tried to finish his sentence. But he had already said his final words. He collapsed to the ground slowly, breathing his last before he even landed.
"Doctor!!" Misa V2 cried, running over to him. Misa licked her lips as she saw the doctor fall. "Now that that's taken care of..." she began. She was cut off by the deep, guttural sound of a heavy machine-gun. Athena hadn't been distracted by Doctor Faust's death. Instead she had lined up her shot and opened fire. Misa turned and dived out of the way just in time as the bullets roared past her, tearing apart the ground she had recently been occupying. Reilly lined up her own shot, her gigantic rifle powering up to try and blast Athena, but she was suddenly thrown off as Illo's tentacles suddenly swept the room.
Reilly reoriented quickly, turning and blasting the first tentacles with a huge blast from her beam canon, slicing it neatly in half. Misa V2 was next, firing sonic pulses from both palms at the tentacles as they came. Athena quickly followed, launching grenades full of plasma energy and uranium depleted rounds at the tentacles. Misa fired her sonic guns as well and Tessa threw out her orange disk, summoning Cinder into the battle. "Cinder! Stop those tentacles!" Tessa yelled, backing away from the tentacles. Cinder began firing super-heated spikes at the tentacles, burning and penetrating them with each hit. Together their attacks were holding off the tentacles, but the generator was still going critical. Misa V2 looked over at Rei and Kaoru. "Guys! You gotta summon the Black Warden here or else the tentacles are gonna wipe us all out!" She pointed to a nearby console. "Use that! Tell him to come help!"
