Pelagious heard his name called. It took him a minute to digest what the judges had said. When he did, the result wasn't much better than it had been all night. Eyes full of tears, he wailed all the way to sidelines.
He couldn't believe it. He and Kleta had been so good. And they tried so hard. It just wasn't fair!!!
He was still sobbing into the punchbowl when Venus announced her next dance. Freestyle? Well. He would show them. He wiped the tears from his face. Marching back to the stage, he grabbed Kleta's hand and jerked her along with him.
Then, slowly and to the beat of the music, he began to make his dream a reality. One by one, he began to take off his clothes. With each piece of clothing, he would throw it on the judges table. All the while, dancing around Kleta as though she was a pole and him the entertainer. And when he was finished with his clothes, he was gonna take off Kleta's. Wether she let him or not.
That will show those darn judges!!!

Artemis wasn't quite sure that Venus needed to even give them a freestyle round, since many of the dancers had been doing that all along. But, her event, her choice. Maybe some of them would feel more at ease with this, rather than being restricted to dances many of them might never have even heard of.

Ugh, okay, perhaps this new game wasn't as fun as she first thought. She wasn't entirely sure what that was, but she didn't want to ruin the game by giving them a '1'. On the other hand, she couldn't in her right mind give them a 'good' score for that either. Wincing, she held up a 4 for Eros and Diona. "Lets...just move on, please."

Oh, much, much better. Oh mercy upon her eyes. Artemis smiled, watching the beautiful pair whirl about the dance floor together. Freestyle seemed to work well for them, and she was pleased to hold up an 8 for Anteros and Yukiko. "Beautiful! Thank you for a lovely showing!"

Though they'd done well in the past few rounds, the God of Lust and his partner put on quite a show with the number that they made up on the fly. Himeros swept his partner across the floor with practiced ease, and Lemon Hearts looked all too happy to let him twirl her about. Perhaps he'd already swept her off her feet as well. Artemis held up a 9 for Himeros and Lemon Hearts, commenting with a smile, "Nice work. Keep up the lovely dancing, you two."

Spinning, whirling, blue and rainbows, like the sky after a summer rain. Err...wow, she'd been sitting here a bit too long. Starting to go stir crazy. Artemis hoped this would be over soon, so she could take a break. She need to get up and walk around, go for a run, something...this sitting still for so long thing was maddening. She held up a 6 for Pothos and Prisma, stifling a yawn as she beckoned for the next dancers.

Maybe, if she rolled one of her score cards up really, really tightly, she could make a thin tube...that was sort of like an arrow shaft, yes? She could probably hit Dylo square between the eyes, right in the forehead if she wanted to. Hmm...Venus might not take well to her drawing her bow on one of her children, but she wouldn't hurt him. Just see if she could wake him up from his stupor. That's all. She held up another 6 for Dylo and Iris Topaz, shoving aside her private plots and making some general, polite commentary on how nice the dance was.

Well now, this was a refreshing change. Looks like the pair decided to step things up this round! "Bravo," she applauded, holding up a 9 for Hymnaios and Trixie. "Way to show us what you can do with a little freedom! Thank you, so much."

Utter confusion and loss seemed to have possessed the last two dancers. With no guidance, apparently they'd been unable to decide just what to do for the judges. Artemis dropped her head into her hand, holding up a card with a 1 for Thalia and Seiya. "I'm sorry," she said, shaking her head, "But really, I can't find any way to favorably comment on that. I've seen lost baby ducks less confused than that."

Well, this was a change of pace, but he was ready for it! "Come on, my dear, Lem'." Somewhere along the way, he'd taken to calling her by the shortened nickname. He lifted her hand and kissed it with a wink, bowing before her. "Let us step back in time to a simpler era, and dance the night away with our cares."

Hmm...taking a step back, eh? Pothos wasn't normally one to choose dances from this era, but....wait, since when did he choose dances at all? That was more their sisters' domain. Well, normally, though this contest was shaping up with unexpected results, given the number of Erotes still on the floor, and the Graces on the sidelines.
He offered his hand once more to Prisma; they'd made it this far, might as well give this their all. "Shall we?"
