The ground trembled as he tried to haul himself upwards, and he wasn't up for more than a few moments, before collapsing once more, hands scuffed and the skin on them torn from his efforts.
Ah gods...were they all doomed? What had happened!?

This time a less than formidable chunk of debris hit him, sending him careening into others about him. He could see the portal...now if only he didn't get trampled.

There had been a moment of pure, undiluted confusion as she watched her home fall to rubble around her. But the scribe's hurried instructions reached her before shock managed to fully grab a hold of her, and with a single-minded determination that was, according to the people who knew her, quite characteristic for Davyne, she made her way towards the portal, nimbly avoiding all obstacles in her path.

When she reached the portal Davyne immediately threw herself in, paying no attention to her surroundings or fellow citizens. It was each for their own after all, and it was not her task to save anyone here. With that rather callous thought in mind, the golden-haired woman found herself transported to the Black Kingdom.

Rex would commented that if something wasn't edible it should have been put on the table. He would have, that is, if all hell had not suddenly broken loose.
Holy...what the--ROAR!
It was a roar that no one would hear over the erupting chaos. His eyes widened, his mind racing, what the hell were they supposed to do now? This was not something he could solve by eating it! So then, the only solution was to RUN!

Rex shook his head before turning to snarl at whoever or whatever he had tripped over. He wished everyone would shut up, TOO MUCH SCREAMING! And he was going to BITE anyone if they ran over him before he got back to his feet!

He scrambled to his feet moments before the ground opened under where he had been sprawled on the ground only a moment before. His answer to this was an angry roar, as if he thought he could frighten the chaos away, to force the kingdom to stop crumbling around them.
Sadly the tactic did not work, and Rex was forced to flee along with everyone else. It was only after he saw the others running for the portals that he knew following was his only chance for escape. He would have to reach one of the portals before the ground opened under his feet!

Rex charged at full speed, proving that at least he was swift, even if he wasn't smart. He was so close to the portal, so close! He leapt the last several steps diving for the portal.
What portal he went through he didn't know, he hadn't thought that far ahead. He only knew he had escaped the chaos and destruction, at least for now.

Insanity broke out in the middle of Market day; nothing made sense as the world around Kaguya cracked and broke down, vanishing before her eyes. She never had time to serve the two customers before her, because as soon as the panic started one of them was shoved away from her so fast she couldn’t even see them in the crowd anymore. The other one simply started running and Kaguya should have followed but instead she was grabbing on of her bags and sweeping her hands to dump the vials and anything else into the canvas bag. The other vendors had simply left their things, but she wouldn’t.
The time it took her to grab her things and move was too long, by the time she was satisfied with the small things she’d grabbed, Kaguya made a run for the red portal, but she got caught in the whirlwind of people and was pushed until she fell to the ground. Picking herself up through the people was tough; she was getting trampled all over the place! If she didn’t let go of her bag she would die here and crumble down with her kingdom, she had to make a decision, keep it or leave it.

No, Kaguya decided to keep the bag. Every time she tried to get up however she was pushed back down and she swore she could hear the vials breaking in the bag as people trampled it. Was it truly worth it to keep it? Yes, she would have things to trade once she was in the red kingdom, it would help her get through. However, if she didn’t make it through the portal she was just gone, poof, nonexistent anymore like her kingdom. Letting go of the bag however, her only remaining possession and her tie to the silver kingdom would also be gone until something could be done about returning.

As much as she tried, Kaguya could not get up. The crowd was starting to dissipate like the kingdom but still many were simply walking over her. Looking back, she gave one last look at her bag.

Thinking of another tactic, Kaguya tried to crawl towards the portal, it was right there in front of her, if only she could get up she’d make it! So close, and yet so far.

There was no use, Kaguya gave up. She was tired and was not about to let go of the bag, maybe she could grab onto someone and they’d help her up?

Then by some miracle, someone spotted her, grabbed onto her arm to haul her up and shoved her through the portal. Kaguya did not see who had, but only knew that her bag had been left behind and a stranger had saved her.

It was one last heave, heart beating so quickly that he thought it might burst straight from his chest. Grasping desperately at the nearest solid object, he hauled himself up, and all but fell through the portal, breathless and battered.
Thannas had escaped.
