Miles smiled and nodded. "I won't," he promised as he moved in slightly closer. They were close enough to feel each other's body heat now. "I know you've been through a lot. But I want to be there for you. I won't disappear, and if we ever get separated I'll do whatever it takes to find you again."

Miles nodded, giving Noira a smile as she thanked him. He watched her for a moment before fidgeting slightly. He looked at her again. He'd come this far. He really wanted.... "Noira....." he began, taking a deep breath and looking into her eyes. "May I kiss you?"

Miles was sure he'd gone too far when Noira's expression became unreadable. He felt his heartbeat speed up faster than it already was. She was going to say no for sure. When she said 'alright' it was probably the most beautiful thing he'd ever heard. When she closed her eyes, Miles waited a moment just to make sure everything was real. Wait....how was he supposed to do this? He'd never kissed anyone before. He slowly moved forward until their faces were inches away from each other. He'd never done it before, but he wanted this to be his first time. With her. He steeled himself one last time and closed his eyes, moving forward the last inch or so until their lips touched. It was brief, but it was firm and decisive. He held it quietly for a second before he pulled back and opened his eyes. Her lips were soft: softer than she expected. He let out a small, shaky breath, still feeling the lingering sensation of her lips on his. His first kiss had been everything he had hoped it would be and more.

Miles gave Noira a smile and a nod. "It was....great. Better than anything," he told her quietly. "Um...how was it for you?" He asked.

Miles's smile widened slightly. "A-ah, I see," he replied. "I'm glad," he replied. His voice was still slightly shaky and he was still nervous but he was obviously very happy. He squeezed her hand gently. "I hope we can do that more," he admitted.

Miles was surprised by Noira's return kiss but he was far from upset by it. Instead, he leaned into her kiss, returning it as he almost involuntarily reached up with his free hand and slipped it up under her hair and against the back of her head, holding it lightly as they held the kiss.

Miles pulled away slightly when Noira did, his heart hammering in his chest. He gave a small laugh, unable to contain his joy at the situation. "Just like that," he told her quietly as he watched her. "Smile just like that."
