โ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐ โ "What, if some day or night a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you:..." Caesar woke up feeling much better, his wound fully healed now. After pulling out the stitches and throwing them away, Caesar leaves the room to find the man in his broken state. He walks over to him and pokes his shoulder to see if he was still alive, sighing when he saw that he was still breathing. He stares at the man for a moment before groaning, already feel bad for what he knew he had to do to help.
Caesar lifts the man's face and opens his mouth before opening his own, the black smoke that was pouring from his wound now pouring from his mouth as he leaned closer, his mouth almost touching the man's. The smoke is what always healed him so it would possibly heal him as well, he just needed to get it to enter him and heal his ribs.
With another pained groan, Caesar puts his mouth against his, the smoke leaving him and entering the man. After enough of the smoke entered him, Caesar pulled away and wiped his mouth. It would take several hours like it did for Caesar, but as soon as he was healed, the smoke would leave him. It was the effects it may have on Fields that Caesar was a little concerned about but if it would help it had to be done. He can't fulfill his promise if the man died on him. "I hope it works..."  Fields was busy staring down at a mess of files he had scattered over the table when Caesar walked in. Each file mentioned something about a patient that had some awful work done to them, from dismemberment of limbs to a mutation in their DNA. God, he was tired. The wounded doctor was too tired and (barely) focused on the files that he didn't even see Caesar step closer.
Feeling something grab his face, the doctor warily blinked and tried to make out through the haze of exhaustion what was in front of him. Was that...? Suddenly the figure leaned in while forcing the doctor's mouth open. He widened his eyes at how close the person was and tried to cough when he tasted something smoky that was far from his cigarette.
Then there was warmth.
Fields furrowed his eyebrows, trying to register what was happening. There was warmth against his smoky mouth, and his body wasn't in horrid pain. He might've been relieved had he not realized what the warmth or who the silhouette was. Grunting in surprise, the doctor shoved the demon away and spat on the ground. "Vhat are you doing?!" he snarled while wiping his mouth. In the midst of Fields's rage, he noticed something: his body didn't send waves of pain through him when he moved. He suddenly hesitated, trying to figure out what exactly happened. Again.

He figured that the subjects might have been patients of that other doctor. Caesar was glad to have the distraction away from the taste of the other man on his lips. "Your ribs should heal in a few hours, are these his patients or are they yours?" Fields growled when the demon merely changed the subject as if nothing had happened. He wanted to verbally lash the boy, but he didn't want to linger on this gruesome subject, and so he sat down back in his spot. "His." he answered solemnly while finding the cigarette he dropped and stomping it out. "Und only a few of his."

He had no issue with it being a man, he didn't really care about the sex of the person, it was the fact that it was this man that had him disgusted.
After his fit of gagging and shivering in disgust, Caesar turned towards the man again, avoiding eye contact. "A few? How many does he have?" "...'This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more..."ยค โช ยค โช

The doctor scowled at the boy's coughing fit, finding it a clear over-exaggeration. "Oh shut up, it vasn't good for mein, either." he snapped before looking back at the files, his expression softening up only slightly. "Hundreds... Maybe evun thousands." he muttered. "There is und asylum he takes zem to, but ein don't know vhere it is."

With a grumble, he looks away and frowns, his arms crossing over his chest. "So who is the person he took from you?" "Hmm?" the older-looking man raised an eyebrow and looked over at the demon to see him... almost pouting. "Nobody. Ein just... can't imagine vhat it's like to be turned into a completely different... thing." he muttered as he gazed at a picture of what almost resembled a human blob. To become not even a fraction of what you used to be, it must be horrid.
"Vait a minute." the doctor murmured and lifted his head to look at Caesar. "Are you... jealous?" he asked with almost a smirk on his face.

The man did have a point, Caesar was a perfect subject for these kind of things so the idea made him sick to his stomach.
When the man turned to him, he looked away, giving a frown when the man mentioned the possibility of him being jealous of anyone who had his interest. It was almost comical, why would he want his attention? He was exactly the type of person who the demon needed to avoid, yet here he was. "Don't flatter yourself. It was obvious that he was annoyed. "I don't get jealous! Especially not over a stupid human like you!" Caesar slams the door shut before sitting down on the bed and grumbling, his face still red. Fields's booming laughter bounced off the walls and echoed throughout the entire apartment. He managed to see the man's blush just before he ran away, and the expression on his face? Priceless.

He grabs the man's shirt by the collar before placing a hand over the man's ribs, the smoke inside of him undoing the healing that it had done. "I am trying to help you out, I would appreciate it if you would refrain from making some ridiculous accusations such as me having an interest in a disgusting human like you." Caesar drops the man into his chair again after realizing how close his face had gotten to his, the smoke inside healing him once more as if nothing even happened. Caesar's face was still red and he was now avoiding eye contact as he crossed his arms. He was even more embarrassed now. The doctor gagged out when his ribs re-cracked and sent pulse after pulse of pain throughout his body. Once he was dropped back into his chair, Fields leaned back and shut his eyes tight, trying to focus on the pain leaving.
The tension in the air was almost unbearable. The doctor, having recovered then, eyed the demon with his arms crossed, unsure of whether to be pissed at him or insulted by how he was described. "...Vhy did you even heal me?" he finally asked, morbid curiosity controlling his mouth and showing on his tilted head. "You only promised to help me find the demon, not heal mein vounds."

"You are useless if you are injured and I do expect payment when this is over, I am a demon after all."
