"Oh. So. You are just gonna pretend like everything's fine? Is that it?" So what? Had it really been some kind of weird ploy to mess with her again? Or had something really been wrong?
She walked up to him, grabbed his coat again, and pulled his face close to hers. "You can't do that. I was worried. Give me crap for acting bipolar? What was that? One minute you were terrified of battle, the next hugging me and acting all worried...and now you just wanna pretend it didn't freaking happen?"
Was her face red? Yes. Was it because of the blush she felt, or perhaps the heat from the lava? Who knew? "I'm not kidding you insensitive jerk. I was almost physically sick with worry about you."
She let go of his coat, and turned to face the lava pool. "Fine. I'm going. But no matter what happens. I demand and explanation, Jake."
And then she was off. ...Keeping pendants handy was a good thing.

Wait. What? WHAT?
He only glared at her as she pulled him closer, eye contact never breaking.
"Listen here. I don't know what kind of crap you're spewing out of that mouth of yours, but if you don't let go of me right now, I SWEAR I'll make you regret it."
When her face turned red, he only assumed it was from the threat, or heat.
"You don't have the luxury of worrying about others. Worry about yourself, you bad-luck girl."
And then as if proving his point, she went and got herself blown up again.
That idiot.
He had already gotten what he came for, but decided he wanted to test his luck again... and made it through in better shape than last time, albeit still somewhat injured.
"Well, I have no idea what's wrong with her. This is completely doable."
He pulled out the pendant and returned to Deus.

- All players must roll a 6 sided dice. If any player rolls a 1 or 6, you have triggered a boss! The DM will be in charge of rping and keeping track of the boss's HP. The boss has 50/ 50 HP and does 5 auto damage every time it is attacked. You can attack it unlimited times within discretion. Attacks go as normal. The boss is shadow shaped, a remnant of the old world, noone can go any further until the boss is defeated. IF NOONE rolls a 1 or 6, or you have defeated the boss, you may proceed to round 2. If two players roll a 1 or 6, you now have two bosses... congratulations.
- This initial roll does not cost stamina!

Having been filled in by Chester on just WHAT THE **** HAPPENED during his last trip, he was 1. Never going back to the infirmary, and 2. Not going to talk to Sherry for as long as possible.

Sherry wasted no time laying into the creature. She was not in the best mood.

Maybe it was his very presence that attracted the shadows.
He was a pretty gloomy person after all.
Without wasting time, he summoned Chester and attacked, quite blatantly ignoring Sherry.

He only shot her a look, which seemed to say "if you don't let up, the next thing this blade will find is your mouth."
Even if she should attack him, he was already done this. This was for her, so... if she wanted to screw up her own opportunity at an artifact, he wasn't complaining.

She saw the look he gave her. He was clearly not happy.
"Look," she began, stepping in to start defending, "I seriously just want to make sure you are ok. I know that bothers you. But deal with it." Her voice was rather calm now. She was less angry and more concerned. Jerk.

He drew his lips in a tight line when she started defending him, but decided to not say anything. Sooner they got this thing out of the way, the sooner they could move on, and the sooner they could leave.
