Loki covered the car and waited until she was out of hearing rang. He sighed deeply and looked down at his hands.
"Oh brother.. I hope you are watching me." He sighed. "I will give all my black magic and energy to bring you back to this world so you save it.. Because I can not. I am not suited for such a task." Loki knew that useing his powers with jane's science would bring Thor back, but it would mean that Loki acting as the magical battery would be drained to death. A sacrafice he was willing to make. He knew he would be reincarnated and wouldn't remember the events unles sby some chance he regained his memories again. Either way it was a sacrafice well worth it.
Loki grabed a jacket from the back seat and headed out to find Lois and help her.

Lois Lane – National Park
She had used the first chance alone to sit down and draw her legs up to her chest. Her head on her knees as she stared off into the distance no longer collecting anything besides the small pile of timber that sat beside her. It had been the worst two weeks of her life. It even outweighed the constant moving around she had to do when she was a kid never being able to have real friends and it wasn’t like being an older sister was fun. Her mother had died of cancer weeks after Lucy was born and now she truly was all alone. The warm tears rolled down her face before she lowered her head in defeat half wanting to end it all but her determination was something that seemed to be unstoppable. With a sigh she remained seated not moving to betray her location just in case she was attacked by a scavenger. Her hazel eyes watching the sun setting in the distance debating on going back that instant to the car.

 Emma Frost: Arkham City Emma appreciated that the Joker was all business and did not focus on her body if the freaky clown had shown any interest in her body she would probably bolt from the room as fast as she could: she did not even want to think of being on display and entertaining those creepy yellow eyes in the black void sockets. She would not try to steal his throne until the time was right and since the clown was only interested in business that meant she would have to climb the ranks: probably start small, something like a fry cook or a waitress. She listened as the Joker mentioned not hiring unknowns because they could be cops, but there were no cops in the city anymore. Emma figured if she said she was not a cop it could be considered a give away and he could try to have her killed because of it, so she merely nodded. She thought for a minute. The clown had mentioned powers' meaning it was likely he had seen at least one of hers' in action. "Well, I can cook, make coffee and pretty much else you could think of”, Emma said: she would downplay her abilities' for the time being and bide her time. Hopefully the Joker did not think she was wasting his time.

Lokihhis arms full of fireword when the flash caught his attention. He paused to look up into the sky to see the heat lightnigh in the distance. He couldn't help but smile.
"Brother." He whispered. It made his heart feel good he was going to try and get Thor back to Earth.
A sound caught Loki off guard. the sound of preditors. A pack of very hungry wolves in the distance, searching for an easy mail.
"Lois..." He gasped. He took off in search of her. "Lois!" He called out.
He could hear the sound of the wolve's locating howl, meaning they found a target. Loki knew wolves rather well.
The pack began to circle the woman in the woods. She seemed like an easy meal. One stepped out from the brush to examine her. It lowered it's head and let out a low growl as the others got in position for the hunt.
One of Joker's men stumble in to see his leader talking to a beautiful blond woman. The man's face beaded in sweat and looked as if he had seen a ghost.
One of the other men stopped the man.
"Can't you see the boss is in a meetin?' He growled.
The other man shook his head. "This is important.. The Bat is back." His voice cracked with fear. "And he's leavin bodies... Not playing around any more. The Bat kills." The man looked terrafied.

Lois Lane – National Forest
She had wallowed in enough self-pity to last her an entire lifetime as she heard the cry of the wolves in the distance her legs still drawn to her chest as she could only imagine them being a great distance away from her. It seemed to be drawing closer. Her eyes flicking to the tree line for a moment as her hand instinctively reached for the gun as her legs dropped to the ground. They had already circled her. Hazel eyes narrowing as she bared her own teeth. “Nothing is ever easy!” She hissed jumping to her feet in one quick motion as she heard Loki in the distance calling her name. Her gun raised aiming at the leader as it watched her.

The wolves began to move in caughtiously.
The lead one stood his ground knowing he was a distraction for two wolves to come along the back and attack her.
The two lunged at Lois but found themselves being thrown aside by some unseen force.
The leader edged closer but stopped. His ears lowered and his tail tucked as he began to whimper.
A massive black wolf stepped up beside Lois and bore it's teeth at the others.
The wolves began to coward down as the larger than normal black beast made it known he was her protector.

Lois Lane – National Park
She had been too absorbed in the main wolf to notice that the other wolves were advancing on her. She couldn’t help but spin on her feet when she noticed the main wolf looking ready to roll over. Her gun still raised as she narrowed her eyes on the larger wolf that seemed to want to protect her. Cautiously she debated lowering her weapon but didn’t consider it a wiser option as she snarled. “I will shoot..” She hissed out in a near growl herself preservation kicking into effect as she waited for the beast’s next move.

The black beast looked up at her with very human green eyes. He waited until the other wolves ran off scared until he stepped back from her.
His form began to change and shift again into Loki. He dusted off any leaves he had collected from his transformation and raceing through the woods to find her.
"Are you all right?" He asked her.

She should have been able to decipher those green eyes belonged to her traveling companion after getting lost in them a few times as they drove. Mentally she hit herself in the head as she waited for the other wolves to leave before she lowered the weapon. He transformed in front of her the sight enough to make anyone dizzy as the fight or flight reaction caused by the adrenaline in her system faded from her system causing her to drop to the ground on her knees weapon on the ground as she looked dazed. “I’ll be fine..” She offered as she focused on the ground hoping the world would just stop spinning for a moment.

Loki moved quickly to her side and gently rubbed her back.
"Nice steady breaths." He said softly. "Take your time. They won't come back any time soon." He assured her.
"Sorry I did not warn you I can shapeshift." He smiled.

“I should’ve paid more attention in history class..” She admitted as she shivered as he rubbed her back. Closing her eyes as she heeded his advice and took deep steady even breaths. “I don’t think I’m cut out for this type of world anymore..” She offered with a frown as she opened her eyes turning her head to look at him. “We should get back to the car..” She offered with a small smile on her lips as she reached for the final leaf stuck in his hair pulling it out and holding it in her hands.

Loki felt himself inching closer to her, but stopped himself. He smiled faintly and nodded. "Of course.. Build a fire and get somthing to eat." He stood and offered to help her up."Stand slowly." He sugested. He didn't want her fainting on him.

Her eyes watched him with curiosity as she shook her head silently erasing any random thoughts from her mind as she moved to get on her feet. “That sounds very pleasant actually.” She offered as she swatted his hand away from her. She didn’t want to be viewed as weak. “I’ll be fine..” She hissed as she rose a little too quickly swaying dangerously on her feet for a moment.

Loki quickly wraped his arms around her to steady her.
'Easy there" He sighed. He couldn't help but hold her a moment longer than he probably should. His face had gotten a bit red as he forced himself to look away from her.
"You are one of the strongest women I have ever met.. No shame in getting help some times." He dared a glance at her.

Lois stood straighter as she swatted his hands away a chill running down her spine as he held her. Her hazel eyes averting from his to the ground. “I always got help.. I don’t feel like depending on anyone anytime soon. Especially if they are going to just up and leave.” She offered not wanting to look at him her own face turning a shade of crimson. “Come on..” She offered as she stepped away from him as she tucked the weapon away and bent down to retrieve the timber she had originally collected.
