The boy was getting closer, and then suddenly a girl came up to them and introduced herself. Naano was relieved as she noticed the boy turn last minute out the doors. She didn't know why, but he worried her...
"Hello! My name's Naano, and this is Becca." She grabbed Becca's hand "And this is here Chad." Moving her hand in Chad's direction she looked gleefully at the girl. So far her journey had been going so well, meeting new people all the time. And they were so kind too. "Selphie, that's such a pretty name! This here's my Eevee Eva."
Eevee poked her head up, and climbed up on Naano's shoulder to get a better view of the girl. "EEve~!" She wagged her tail happily. It seemed she also enjoyed the girl's presence.

Selphie smiled and nodded as she learned everybody’s names. “It’s nice to meet people.” Selphie crouched down so that she was facing the Eevee at proper eye contact. “Hey, your Eevee looks like it knows a thing or two about fighting.” Selphie stood back up and giggled as she thought about it. She turned her attention back to Naano and smiled warmly, “Well, I don’t know how long I’m going to be staying in Vormund City. I’m only here to gather supplies and maybe catch another Pokémon for my team before I take on the first gym leader.” Selphie thought for a moment, pressing her index finger to her forehead as she did so, “I think that the first gym leader uses normal type Pokémon. I should probably catch a fighting type for that, but I’m sure Pidgey and Deino could do well against him or her.” Selphie looked down at Deino and nodded to him.
“D-Dei!” Deino snapped at the air, trying to get a feel for what was around him since he couldn’t see anything, but since nothing ended up in his mouth, he knew that no one was bothering him and so he sat down on the ground and yawned. “Ah, well, I should probably go see how Pidgey is doing. She got in a tussle with Deino before I caught her, so naturally she’s kind of worn out.” Selphie didn’t mention that she practically ambushed the Pidgey because she felt it wasn’t a necessary thing to mention at this point.
The nurse welcomed Selphie as she stepped up to the counter. “How is Pidgey doing?” The nurse gave Pidgey back to Selphie as good as new. “Great, thanks nurse!” Selphie allowed Pidgey to rest on her arm and she walked back over to the group of three that now included Deino since he didn’t even budge to get Pidgey with Selphie. “This is Pidgey. I just caught her on my way here. She’s pretty vigilant.” Pidgey flapped its wing as though it were waving at the three and Eevee.

Chad smiled and waved to Selphie, realizing that he’d completely left Kadaj back at the statues. “Nice meeting you guys, I should probably be going though!” Chad handed the Seewaddle back to Becca and waved goodbye before taking up his Nincada from the nurse and exiting the Pokémon Center, ready to get back on his journey.

As Selphie returned, Eva slowly sauntered up to Deino and sniffed around him. She's definitely a curious pokemon, Naano thought, each time we meet a different pokemon she just has to investigate. Smiling, Naano looked from her eevee to Selphie "I need to catch some more pokemon too, I'm not sure who I'll find out there." she turned towards Becca "Are we going to stop by the lake, or go straight to Paysage?" Naano wasn't sure herself. Catching a water pokemon was something she did want to do, but she remember that they had to meet up with Toby and Mimi. They'd already stuck around here too long...
She realized that Selphie was traveling alone, aside from her pokemon. "Would you like to join us? It'd be nice to expand our little traveling group." Facing Becca she asked "Well, what do you think?"
Eva was still preoccupied with Deino.

Selphie smiled as she was offered to tag along with the girls so that she wouldn’t be alone. “Sure, that would be awesome, right guys?” Selphie looked to Deino who nodded in accordance as well as Pidgey who began to tweet a tune that seemed rather positive. “I’m on board for wherever you guys want to go first. I haven’t really thought about what kind of Pokémon I want to catch next, just as long as it adds some variety to my team.” Selphie smiled and waved goodbye to the man who never actually introduced himself, although Selphie knew his name thanks to Naano who had told her it earlier. “I wonder where he had to go in such a hurry…”
Selphie held out a pokeball and withdrew her Pokémon Pidgey before turning to Deino, “Alright, I think I’ll leave you out for a little bit, I think Eevee has taken an interest in you.” Selphie giggled as she looked at the Eevee who was sniffing her dragon-type Pokémon. Normally Selphie might have been confused by that, but Eeve definitely didn’t have any attraction to Deino since they weren’t even of the same Egg group. “It seems like Eevee hasn’t met a dragon-type Pokémon before. I guess they are kind of rare.” Selphie thought for a moment before turning back to Naano, “The lake or Paysage huh? I hope the gym leader’s not busy fighting others who have come to her town. If not, we could probably stick around and battle her, if she is busy though, we can always visit the lake and catch ourselves a Pokémon, does that sound good?” Selphie folded her arms and smiled, hoping that her plan was rather sound. She knew that there would probably at least a couple of people in the next village, and if they were going to go through with her plan, Selphie would need to catch another Pokémon just so she’d be able to use it in case the first gym-leader wanted to have a three-on-three battle.

"Oh I forgot to say bye to Chad!" Naano exclaimed just after he left. I need to stop being so impolite all the time.... "He probably went to go see...Kadaj. I think that's what his friend's name is..." Hearing Selphie's idea, Naano nodded her head. "Yeah, that sounds good! There are mostly grass and bug pokemon on the way to Paysage. I think I'm going to go for a bug type, some of them eventually learn psychic techniques when they level up." Naano was excited just by the idea of it.
Referring to her Eevee, she responded "Well, not quite this close. An elite four member came by not too long ago with a Salamance, but she couldn't get as close as she wanted, he was floating in the air. Haha." She crouched down and began petting her Eevee. "She's surprisingly social, I never expected to meet a pokemon quite like her. Actually, when I met her she was scrounging berries off me. I had to give her a bitter one in order to catch her, it kind of made her too woozy to fight it off. I still feel bad about it though..."
"EEEvee!" Eva jumped on Naano causing her to fall backwards. She then began to lick her trainer's face. I guess this means she forgives me...

Selphie giggled as she imagined giving the Eevee a nasty berry, although that is rather smart. Some Pokémon like Deino would eat anything, but then again, Deino was more of a carnivore, so there was no guarantee that he would go for that berry instead of Selphie’s hand. “I actually caught Deino by using the fact that he can’t see well against him.” Selphie looked at Deino who was sitting up and making his way over to Selphie’s side. He was able to detect her voice now and was used to following her commands even though he really couldn’t see her. “At first I was going to let him go, but I kind of had the feeling that he would be an awesome asset to my team if I kept him around. I practically had to outsmart him since throwing rocks at him wouldn’t really work because Deino find their way around by biting around in their environment. Because of that, they have a bunch of bruises and things of the sort on their body from running into stuff. I knew rocks wouldn’t really work. Luckily, it only took me one try before I actually caught Deino.” Deino nodded, allowing his long neck to move up and down as he agreed.
Selphie listened to Naano and giggled as she thought about some of the adorable grass-type Pokémon out in the world like Chikorita, “Actually, I think I might catch myself a grass-type Pokémon for the first gym if I can’t find a fighting type. They can be pretty pesky in a battle if they know skills like Leech Seed and Absorb. Bug-Types are good too though, I just need to get the best kind of variety for my team.”Selphie nodded happily, as though she’d just confirmed her own doubts about which Pokémon she was going to go with. “So I’ll just follow you guys.”
As Selphie made plans, she noticed a blue-haired trainer walk in. She didn’t say anything though since he didn’t seem too interested in her. Instead, she decided to remain quiet, allowing him to talk to Naano. ‘Hmm, I might have to end up leaving on my own at this rate. I need to start getting ready for the first gym.’

Becca said goodbye to Chad. She was happy to see that her little sewaddle was safe. She cuddled her pokemon. When the red haired girl came in to the center and introduced herself as Selphie (Selph for short.) Becca was impressed with her Deino. "Hi, I'm Becca. Pleased to meet you." She said politely. "This is my partner, Sewaddle. Her name's Chic." Becca stated. "Seww wadddle." Sewaddle seemd happy.
Rebecca stared at the boy as he stood before her cousin. How odd.... She thought to herself. His hair was a light grayish-blue, and he was pale skined with a fur trimmed jacket. I guess he's not from around here either. I wonder if he's a new trainer too. She tried to introduce herself to the boy. "Hi........I'm Becca..." She said. Is he trying to hit on little Naano? What a weirdo...

Naano looked up from petting her Eevee. He...he had talked to her. She just stared for a few seconds, before realizing that she was being rude again. Quickly getting up on her feet she dusted off her dress and tried to look confident "Hi there, I'm Naano." Giving her best smile, she tried to ignore the fact that her face felt hot and that her legs were about to go out from right under her. It wasn't that he was cute or anything. Well okay, he was cute, but that wasn't it Okay, so it added to it, but that wasn't the main reason. She just felt this way towards any guy, as if she had to prove something more to them. "S-sorry that I bumped into you earlier" Putting her hand behind her head she chuckled nervously "I was in a hurry to but stuff, I guess I should've watched where I was going." She side glanced at Selphie and Becca, and suddenly Eva jumped on her again, causing her to fall over onto the boy.
"I-'m...I'm so sorry! Again.!"
This wasn't going well....

It's already evening.. Becca thought. "Naano-Chan, I'm gonna go on ahead." She winked at Naano. "Have fun with your boy-toy." She giggled as she walked out the center doors. She can take care of herself. I really should let her have her more independence. Hmm, now to meet up with Toby and Myridia. She began jogging through the path. "I hate running...." She said. As she made her way threw the path.

Selphie looked at the boy with blue hair and then to the other two girls. One seemed to be totally gone in the brain, clearly she was a victim of infatuation, much like Pokémon tended to be like when they were under the status condition of attract. The other one seemed to now have much to say at all. “Well, hello, I’m Selphie.” Selphie turned to the guy with blue hair and bowed before pointing to Deino, “This is my partner Deino and uh, well my Pidgey is in my pokeball.” Selphie readjusted her glasses, only now realizing now how much of a third wheel she kind of felt like. “Chad was his name right? I think I’m going to go find him. I think I can still catch up to him if I hurry.” Selphie could feel her face growing slightly redder as she thought about how dumb she probably seemed as she tried to act like nothing was happening out of the normal. ‘Well, that’s life. Good for Naano…’ Selphie had a crush too that turned into a relationship, although it ended rather tragically, so she didn’t want to see other people happy, mainly because of her own envies which she was well aware of. “Alright then, goodbye you three, it was nice talking to you Naano, I hope we can do it again sometime! Come on Deino, let’s go see what Chad’s up to, I’m kind of interested in seeing why he left in such a hurry.” Selphie waved for her Pokémon Deino to follow her.
She ran out of the Pokémon Center and saw Chad walking down the street. After hesitating for a moment, she called his name aloud, “Er- Chad! Chad, over here!” Selphie walked up to Chad and smiled warmly, “Naano is in there with some guy with blue hair, I don’t think I caught his name, but she’s with him and Becca kind of just took off. Do you mind if I come with you for a moment? I know it’s out of the blue, but I heard there were some statues here that could be seen and what-not.” Selphie exhaled and looked at Chad, worried that he actually might say no and then she’d be stuck alone again.

He smirked and helped her stand. "Later." He said to Selph. Huh?! B...boy toy. He blushed again. D..don't let her see you blush idiot! He turned around and coughed.
