Lumine grinned upon hearing her own name from the rabbit's lips. "'Sup, Bunny-Sensei~ Sleep well?" She continued to massage Ochiba's forehead while she collected herself mentally, her smile widening when she noticed her blush. "...You took quite a beating earlier, y'know? You had us worried. Even Michiko!" She paused, moving her hand to gently lift Ochiba's own arm for her to see. "Before you even begin to protest, see these bandages? Michiko changed them for you, so I don't wanna hear a single word about it."
"You're in her home," she continued, releasing Ochiba's arm. "And she's getting something for you to eat, okay? I know this might be a lot to take in, but try to take it easy for now..." Lumine scooted back further onto the bed, crossing her legs and staring intently at the floor. "The Demons that attacked us got away... we couldn't stop them at all. If it hadn't been for Hanari and a friend of hers, we'd all be goners by now." She considered indulging more on what happened between herself and the Shinigami, but Lumine decided she'd keep that information separate for now. They could talk about that later, when Ochiba was more coherent.
"But, I think we're safe for now... and we're all recovering. Even I got poked a bit, see?" Taking the collar of her tunic, she pulled it down to show the bandage work Hanari had done for her. "Don't worry though; it'll take a lot more to kill someone like me!"

Ochiba remained squinting at Lumine, specially as the celestial explained everything to her,"Michiko? But shy would she--?" She decided to be quiet about that when the blue haired girl showed her her own arm,"Ah-- ... She confuses me."
"I doubt I can do more than 'taking it easy.' I am beat as you pointed out," Ochiba gave a wan smile,"I was wondering how we survived." She let her eyes close, and face fall a bit in the pillow too tired to strain her eyes and force to force her neck to turn and hold for a longer time,"I will have to thank Hanari as well, as Michiko, if it were not for theie help, we would have lost so much more toni--- Wait was long Have I been out?"
Ochiba's rabbit ears twitched with the ruffle of cloth. The rabbit once more squinted at the celestial and had a small frown,"I am glad to hear you are fine though, or at least fine enough." The little youkai's hand moved to rest onto of Lumine's hand, before saying,"I am sorry I wasn't enough to protect you from such danger. I am a small rabbit and try as I may I am out of their league no matter how much I wish to protect you from things like them."

"Umm..?" Lumine stared at the ceiling, counting imaginary numbers. "I dunno. Half a day or so? I've already been home and back... I don't like that place anymore..."
She could see Ochiba's sorrowful expression, and cringed slightly at her words. "H-Hey, don't talk like that! It's not like you're my caretaker or anything!" Lumine pressed her other hand over Ochiba's, holding them together. "You did enough, okay? I'm still here, and no worse for wear. Well, maybe a couple more holes." She bared her trademark cheeky grin to the rabbit, hoping it would prove her point.
"Oh, here--" Lumine slid off the bed and to Michiko's desk, taking Ochiba's glasses and swiftly returning them to her. "That should make things a bit clearer!" She sat on the bed again, although this time she gave her friend a larger space. "Hey, when you're more awake, there's...there's something I wanna tell you. S-Something good!" She reached over to pat Ochiba's shoulder. "But, only after you're well. Right now, I just want everyone here to rest and heal..."

"A day and a half?... No wonder I am stiff," The old rabbit sighed,"I am glad you are okay, as well as Michiko."
"Well I am an older youkai, I am meant to take care of the younger ones, specially if it a friend," Ochiba told Lumine, decisevely, squeezing her hand under the celestial's,"Sometimes it is rather tough to be weak like this no matter how hard you train or want to be stronger."
"Oh my glasses," Ochiba took them before placing them on her face, immidiately blinking and readjusting her eyes behind the overly large lenses,"Mh? Good news? Why not tell me about them now? I could use some good news?"
"And I've been sleeping for more than a day you know, I've been resting."

"Er-- Well, I guess that's true..." Lumine breathed a heavy sigh, steeling herself for what she was about to say to Ochiba. "O-Okay. Hanari... I think... I think she really is my Maemi!" She said finally, partially concealing the truth. "I have every right to believe it! B-But... If I'm right-- ...She's a Shinigami, and I'm a Celestial... If I'm right, then that means..."
She shook her head, stifling a scream. "Why does this have to be so hard?! Why can't it be like it used to be, when things were so simple, and I never had to worry?!" The Celestial paused for a moment, collecting herself again. She reached up and brushed some stray hair from her eyes, feeling a bit embarrassed for her outburst. "Ehh...w, well, the good news is that I found her, but now I don't really know where to go from here. I'm not good at this kind of stuff. I'm not good at anything..." Her shoulders slumped, and head bowed low. She could feel the hints of depression clawing at the corner of her mind again.
"And I don't know what I want anymore. I want to be with her again, but more than that... I want her to be happy too, y'know? If she's happy being like this, w...without having to worry about a stupid Celestial like me...then maybe this is all for the better?"
Lumine turned to look at Ochiba, smiling sadly to her. "I guess this wasn't really 'good' news, huh..?"

The old Rabbit laid where she had been placed without moving, but her eyes where on Lumine, listening to the situation be retold. She remained silent through Lumine's story, and spoke only in the end.
"Maybe they are some sort of twisted good news, Lumine," Ochiba responded, with an encouraging smile"In the real world, good news mean bad news for someone, that is how it works. But, I think this is just complicated news, it will be hard to find the solution to it. "
"I am sorry things have gotten this complicated for you, but people grow through hardships, so once you figure it out, you will have grown as a person too," Ochiba moved to lean on the pillow so half her face was in it and she closed her eyes as she thought, though the pillow moved her glasses a bit awkwardly. After a short pause, she spoke again,"I bet you and Michiko have only seen this as black and white; be with Hanari or leave her alone. But I see a possible gray. "
"Have you ever heard when people say that 'Luck is like a cat, when you look for it, you will never find it, but when you ignore it, you'll find it rubbing to your leg' ?" The rabbit looked to Lumine opening her eyes once more," Maybe you should look for happiness elsewherd yourself."
"I know it is always hard to move away from the roots of your past life, but if Hanari wants nothing to do with you, It won't happen, if she does, she will look for you," The small youkai said,"But, in either instance, if you look for a new life, if you look for a new purpose, the transition away from what was your world before won't hurt as much. The key here would be to not lose hope in Hanari, but to also try to move on."
"I know it sounds difficult, but I have been through it many times, Lumine," Ochiba said,"Through age I have lost many people dear to me; but I never found them. Use the fact she is close to you to your advantage."
"I can say from experience; Do not waste your time living a life that you won't be able to have. Live a life you can have."

"But...My life wouldn't mean anything without Maemi..."
"I, I mean, I know I did okay on my own before, but when I met her..!" Lumine sighed, flopping backwards onto the bed she and Ochiba shared. She stared at the ceiling, trying to find the right words. "I...I don't even know how to say it. It's like...we were meant to be together. Even now, knowing where she is, and not being able to be near her....it's unbearable. ...I must sound pathetic, huh Bunny-Sensei?"
Lumine rolled over onto her side, putting her back to Ochiba. "But... somehow, I think you guys are right. I don't know what else to do, and forcing it on her won't solve anything...it might even push her away more. Who knows, I may never even see Hanari again...last time I saw her, she-- ...w-we fought. And I don't know where she is now." She curled up on her side, entering somewhat of a fetal position. "I don't... I don't wanna think about this anymore. Ochiba, is there something we can do or, something you can show me? I need to take my mind off everything. And soon, before I go crazy..."

Ochiba reached an rubbed Lumine's back,"It's understandable to be confused." The rabbit looked at the younger youkai who was much larger than her, "Even if you have the advantage of her changing her mind, it is undestandable if you hurt because she is away from you. We do need to get you busy with something, or else you will mop around."
"Wow, not I got to people in my bed... Ochiba I got something for you to eat; Since you seem to just love what is in my garden I got you some carrots a sandwich and some tea, I do hope that is enough." Michiko walked in with the same tray and a small smirk.
"Thank you, puppy," Ochiba nodded, and with a grunt sat up. She looked as Michiko frowned at her she walked to the side of the bed. "Speaking of, Michiko, what do you do around here? We need to get the kid to be more active." "Sorry, if its sports you are going to find the need to ask someone else." "no no, just an activity." "And activity uh? Well what do you like to do Lumine?"

"Hm..?" Lumine laid there for a moment, thinking. "Well...I like to write, and draw..." She said, thinking about the parchment and ink in Seijin's bag. "And...I like to travel, but... usually, I follow a vision I see in my dreams. It would give me something to look for, a destination to find, but I haven't dreamt in a long time..."
A thought occurred to the Celestial, one that made her sit up suddenly. Seeing visions was her ability; she wondered... "...Ever since I woke up in Bhavagra, I could see things in my dreams, visions of places and people that would act like beacons to guide me. I guess that's my 'ability'. Ochiba, somehow, you saw through that Demon's disguise, when I couldn't see anything but... you know."
She turned to look at Michiko with a puzzled face, her head tilted in contemplation. "Michiko? What's your ability? I know your momma was really, really fast; it was impossible to catch her off guard, even when she was asleep. Did you inherit something similar..?"

"Ah, so you follow your visons mh? That is an interesting ability," Ochiba said, looking at Lumine. She nodded at the celestial as she recalled the occurance with the demon of temptation. "Aye. My ability is the extent of seeing through any lie. I can see through illusions and work like a lie detector. It's funny, but when someone lies, I can see them clearly, even when my sight is very bad. So keep in mind that lying to me is pretty useless~"
"Y'know, that's right..." Ochiba looked to Michiko,"I haven't ever seen you do anything very... special."
"Seijin had some extraordinary reflexes. The reason she was fast was because she could react the instant you showed any signs of using a move. It wasn't that she was fast, she was simply faster than her opponent." Michiko raised her eyebrow, setting the tray down on the desk,"I can't say I have an 'ability' per say. I am talentless in that respect as far as I can tell." "Impossible, the tengu are known for their skills, you are all pretty strong youkai with some outstanding blood in you," Ochiba responded,"You have to have an ability somewhere." "In case you haven't noticed, I spent my time in a shack, alone, reading books; did you think I was going to be as great as my mother?!" The indirect comparison angered Michiko, making her cheeks turn a bit red as she crossed her arms, her ears and tail perked stiffly, "I am useless, I thought that had been established!"

"Whaaat?" Lumine whined to Michiko. "You can't be useless! After all, you fended off a demon for a while...that's gotta count for something, right Bunny-Sensei?"
The Celestial hopped off the bed, moving to inspect Michiko from all angles. "You must have gotten something good from Master Kazuko...or maybe your father? What was his ability?" She stopped at Michiko's tail, poking its tip curiously. "Maybe it isn't something physical? Mine technically isn't... Think about it! Is there anything you can do better than everyone else?"
She stood, and leaned her chin on Michiko's shoulder. "And 'being a hermit' doesn't count."

"Indeed, it must count for something~" Ochiba smiled almost teasingly.
Michiko followed Lumine with her eyes,"My father had an odd ability. He could make himself heavier. He would use that ability to train, so he was very fast. Essentially, my father could become a brick wall and almost impossible to move."
The tengu's tail twitched away, looking sideways at Lumine as the celestial rested on her shoulder. "Well that is what I am." The tengu glanced around the room at her collection of books,"I have a pretty good memory but nothing extraordinary.... I am not exactly strong physically either."
"What? Do any of you have anything in mind anyway? What is an ability in your eyes, mh?" Michiko said, squirming a bit at Lumine's chin,"Can't I be an untalented being in peace?"

"Well, it's just...weird." Lumine said, meeting Michiko's eyes half-way. "In my travels, it seems that everyone can do something weird...or fantastic...or even weirder."
"An ability is..." Lumine moved away from Michiko, leaning on the desk's chair at her hips. "Something that you're really good at, and something that humans can't do. Well, normal humans anyway..." Her eyes returned to the ceiling in thoughts, trying to find an example, or fathom a better definition. "A feat that makes you special, and unlike someone else. Unique!" She finally stated with an energy and excitement, finding the word she wanted. "An ability is something that makes you unique!"
"So what makes you unique? What makes you more than just another wolf tengu? There must be something!" Her arms were open, as if reaching out to expand Michiko's thinking. "I mean, I know everyone has things that make them different; Oni are strong, Tengu are fast, Kappa make things with metal and electricity, Magicians are good with magic, and so on. But beyond that, we each have something that makes us special. I've learned that in my travels."
"Maybe it's none of my business," she continued, "But I'm just curious. You're Master Kazuko's daughter, after all... that means a lot to me, even if it doesn't to you."

"So something that makes me unique, eh?" Michiko thought out loud," I honestly Can't think of anything!" The wolf tengu's tail twitched, half pensively half annoyed,"And me being daughter of Seijin has nothing to do with it! Stop connecting that to me."
"You've got to remember, pup, abilities are never that obvious. It took me a long long time to figure out my ability. You are proud of being a scholar; put that brain of yours to work," Ochiba purposely begun to prod at Michiko, with a smug smile,"What are you going to be out done by a vermin youkai like myself~?"
Michiko's tail seemed to give a flick with her scoff,"Keep dream, pop-dust!" The wolf tengu crossed her arms, sullenly looking around at her library once more. "...... See all these books? I can remember virtually every line within it's pages. Maybe the tweak of a conjuction here or there, but I can recall all the main ideas, plots, statics, fables; everything."
"... Y'know, that just may be it," Ochiba raised an eyebrow to Lumine, laying down again to release the pressure off her wounds,"What do you think, Lumine? Could that be it?"

Lumine's thought processes (as few as they were) screeched to a halt.
"..."
"...'Pop-dust'?"
Deciding to file that away for later review, Lumine returned her attention to Michiko's explanation. "The books...?" She turned to look in the direction Seijin's daughter was, perplexed and curious. "Sooo... your ability is you can remember your books? That doesn't sound very unique." She stated flatly, putting her arms on her hips with a prideful huff. "I can remember lots of stuff I read! Like, um..." Another pause. Lumine could feel a bead of sweat collect at her brow. "Um...l-like this one book--...no wait, that's not right...ah, f-fine! Maybe it is an ability!"
"Hold on a moment~" Quickly, Lumine ran to collect a random book from off a shelf, and then returned to join Michiko and Ochiba. She held the book out to show the wolf its title. "If you can remember so well, then tell me what's on page..." Cracking the book open and holding it in the crook of her arm, Lumine flipped through a few dozen pages, finally landing on one suitable and part way through the book. "Page 74!" A grin was plastered on her face; she obviously wasn't expecting Michiko to be able to come through.
