Menolly looked to him a moment then the beach in front of her. Pushing past her feelings she started to walk forward. after about five steps, she hesitated. It wasn't that she was afraid of turning around and finding him gone, she was afraid of not touching someone.
Already her chest tightened and she lacked all traces of a smile. Trying anyway, she slowly kept walking, she kept reminding herself that he was right behind her. Conflicted, struggling with this not being able to touch someone, she discovered there was one problem that didn't seem to want to go away.
However, there was also growth for she was able to walk, she just was disliking every moment of it.

Seeing that Menolly was no longer smiling, Wolfwood frowned slightly himself and caught up to her, taking her hand in his. He didn't say anything, though. Just flashed her a reassuring smile and gently squeezed her hand.

Menolly brightened up instantly, smiling at him before looking back to the water. It was a short distance now and she was eager to feel the water on her feet.
This was fun again!
When the reached the waters edge, she made a little hop forward so that she could land both feet into the water and not jerk Wolfwood's arm. The moment her feet hit the water, she laughed with delight.

Wolfwood smiled while he watched Menolly play in the water. It had bothered him that she had so disliked having to walk those few steps by herself. But he knew it was necessary. She had to get used to it. He couldn't always be there to hold her hand.

Menolly was quietly playing with the water enjoying the feel off it. Like air, it was all around what ever was in it, only she could feel water, not air.
She looked up to Wolfwood, and paused a moment, she couldn't place it but she felt like she might have done something to displease him. Since she didn't understand, she went off to playing, taking her hand from his and cupping the water in her hands, she waited until most of it drained before throwing it to splash him. She aimed for his hair because of the fact that he was wearing cloths. Sunny hated when anything happened to her hat, she had no idea if he was as attached to the stuff as well.
Menolly didn't see the point, but she wasn't going to say anything. She was comfortable without clothing and he appeared to be comfortable with it, to each their own.

Wolfwood saw the water coming but had no time to move out of the way, blinking when the droplets hit him on the face. For a second afterward he just stood there, taken by surprise, then he grinned suddenly and jumped toward Menolly. "You're in trouble now," he said playfully.

Menolly watched him, worried she might have made him mad. However, the way he told her she was in trouble, she knew the game was on. Giggling with delight she made an effort to side step out of immediate reach, stooping, she grabbed more water before stand and getting ready to react, either her getting captured, or more time to throw water, either way was find with her.
This was so much fun! Even not in direct contact, her smile didn't waver and her eyes remained bright shinny gold, delight and playful mischief adding to the sparkle. Maybe it could last long, but she was enjoying while it did.

Wolfwood didn't give her a chance to splash him again, pouncing and wrapping his arms around her and bringing her down gently on the soft sand instead. "Ha! Gotcha!" x3

IC: Menolly gave a small squeak as she was caught and started to laugh. However, she went somber and played it up, "I have been caught! Oh no!"
The next instant, her lower lip came out and she pouted, "My plans, thrawted." However, with as much fun as she was having, the expresson didn't last long before she was smiling wide. Leaning towards him, she gave him a kiss and pulled back, and as innoncently as as possible she added, "Your a bit wet." At least now she was able to keep in the laugh, her eyes showing it all though.

Wolfwood started to say something but was distracted by Menolly's kiss. And then he was side-tracked by her comment about him being wet. "Hmm? Oh, so I am. But I believe that's your fault missy," he said, leering at her playfully. Then his question came back to him and he asked, "What plans did I thwart, exactly? If I like the sound of 'em, maybe I'll let you follow through with them." wink

Menolly giggled and looked up to her halo as if that meant she couldn't do a thing wrong. Smiling she contemplated his question, and it took her a second to answer. "Oh, those plans, I recall thinking about a bigger water fight." She was acting at completely forgetting, to her it sounded more innocent that way.

Menolly giggled as he tickled her, her feet lightly kicking in the sand. She squirmed a bit, acting as if she wanted to be away from the tickling. In fact, she was thinking of the most probable place Wolfwood might be ticklish as well. She took a chance and decided to go for the sides as he was doing. 'Counter tickling!', she thought to herself gleefully as she attempted to tickle him back.

Wolfwood eeped and ceased tickling her, focusing on catching and pinning her arms so she couldn't tickle him anymore.

Menolly was having a lot of fun and when he stopped tickling her, there as a moment of thinking 'Victory' followed by her weapons, her hands and arms, being captured and pinned to her side. The sudden restriction of movement startled her, but she wasn't knocked off her roll for very long, she stretched her fingers trying to think if she could still tickle.
If not, he couldn't very well get her when she couldn't retaliate, right?
