As I was walking back to the house, there was a little girl. Yeah. She was crying for some reason... what was it...?... That's right, she had lost her stuffed toy rabbit. I helped her search around for it until we found it underneath a porch. Of course... She couldn't just leave the poor girl alone and crying. Besides, she wasn't doing anything important, and the girl didn't expect her to help.
It was nice being in that small village, even if the night was a little creepy. After that she had made it back and she tended to her cut, which left a small scar, but nothing that she could call a 'war wound, at least not yet. She would have plenty of those when she got older. She only hoped she wouldn't get so much that it would disfigure her. A few scars were fine. It proved that she survived in a fight and that she shouldn't be messed with. That, and they were life lessons. Like this one... I'll have to remember not to walk through a suspicious open door....
Wh-what happened?! Miyak had so much fun, she can't remember what she did last night! DC: 10 + Wis Mod (1) + Added Difficulty (7) = 18 Formula: d20 + Wis Mod (1) + Mikito help (5) = Nat20, Ignore 19 (12 or higher) 10/10 22 R/ 5 P

Toshi stalked through the wilderness and stopped short and pressed himself along a tree. His eyes held dark circles around them from weeks of hiding and running. He calmed his breathing as he looked over them as he peeked his head around the trunk of a tree. He slowly fingered the fuuma shuriken that was identical to the other one he owned. Both were tightly bound to him in latches that held them in place. He knew the likelihood of him being able to take them all were slim. He froze and waited to see what they would do next. A feral smile slowly crept upon his face as he studied them. The one in the armor seemed like a very hard person to face. If he could just wait her out and attack what looked to be the leader the moment there was an opening he would jump at the chance. He slowly slipped the fuuma from its place, not yet extending all the blades out yet.

Urza laughed a bit at Miyako struggled to recall the party last night. It seemed they had all done a bit of post frenzied fight celebration, Miyako a little harder than the rest. The young knight smiled as the company continued on their trek. Urza was be glad to be putting distance between her and the village. As nice as the folk were she couldn't get the image of the beast, 0009, or the dashing heretic, Ryousei, out of her mind. And the further she could distance herself from them the better. Urza was also grateful that she had been able to get a bit of training in, and she hoped she would be able to accomplish a bit more before she reached the boat to Kiri. Urza closed her eyes, "Maker watch over us." Urza sighed. After what they had been through they needed a bit of divine intervention. She just hoped nothing else went wrong on the trip. But how could it? What with being in such close proximity to Mikito and the other Knights, not to mention the Otokage himself. ❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 6 Hp:90/90 MHp: 72/72 Cp: 54/54 Dodge Bonus: 13 Armor Class: 19** If an attack is above the dodge bonus but below the Armor Class bonus damage is halved. Miyako Chōzō T╔═.4.══════╗ TAHp: 40/40 TACp: 44/44 TIMHp: 40/40 Dodge Bonus: 7 T╚══════.♥.═╝She felt slightly better now that she remembered what all happened last night. No one had slipped anything into her drink, she only was too tired to simply remember. She followed behind them all, wondering when they would arrive. They never really said how long it would take. Not that she didn't mind the walking, but it would be nice to know. She was casually walking when she had seen something, or someone. It could have been mistaken as an animal, but her senses told her otherwise. It was taller than an animal, and stood like a human. She stopped walking, "Take a picture, it'll last longer. I suggest stepping out here before I punch you in the face..." She then looked over in Toshi's direction, so he knew she saw him.

Orikami Diplomacy check Diplomacy: 40+25 Roll: 3+65=69 Orikami had detected the boy some time ago, his senses as an Otobe and Kage far outstretching even the other Otobe present, but he chose to remain silent, as he tried to ponder over just what it was about the boy's sound that he found so nostalgic...as though he had heard it before. "Ah." he snapped his fingers as he suddenly recalled. "Yes...that's it." Senkyo was looking rather sleepy from the party last night, his hand in front of his mouth as he yawned animatedly. "Otokage-samaaaa." he stretched. "Do you want me to make the little one behind us disappear...?" Orikami just chuckled, as though Senkyo was a small child who had done something adorable. "Ha ha, no Senkyo. That won't be nessecary. Though, if you would, please stop the palanquin."The Officer's slowly came to a halt, lowering the platform as Orikami himself stood, and stepped off unto the ground, looking to be in a rather fine mood. "Ahhh," he said looking refreshed, as though he was getting cooped up by Chishio's insistence he ride in that thing. "Shall we apprehend the interloper Lord Otokage?" The Sercet police officer's had their infamous hand cuffs ready beneath their cloaks, prepared to extend forth and seize the boy if necessary. Orikami waved this aside however. "Now now, there's no need. This boy has a valid reason for coming after me.""My...my lord?" his subordinate's looked a little surprised, but Orikami merely walked forward calmly, coming to stand by the students with an almost serene look on his face. "Boy. Please, come out into the open. There is no need for you hide." he smiled warmly. "It struck me when I heard your sound...that there was something familiar about it. The way the air moves around you. And then I remembered." he pointed upwards, as though for cheerful emphasis. "Kasuke's sound was just like that. Yes...that would make you of his clan, then, would it not?" he smiled with his other hand signaling for no one to interfere. "Are you here to take revenge for my defeat of the former Otokage...? Then I would implore you to take your issue up with me. Not the children under my care."

Toshi's feral smile turned into a snarl and then a growl at what the girl yelled at him. He kept the fuuma tight in his hand as he walked out into the open, out of the tree line. A small gust surged and sputtered as it threw his hair back and forth. He glared openly at the man that had addressed him. "So you know who I am huh? Well then there is no point in lying to you." He tried to calm his breathing into a somewhat calm resemblance. His fist tightened on the ring of the fuuma as he left all the blades together. He took in everything he could in his sight of the man. Oh how he hated him. The fuel still fresh in his veins. He forced his face to go back to as normal as he could as his fist shock from the strain of holding back the fuuma.

Urza tensed up as Miyako called out to the boy following them. Urza hadn't even noticed him, not even a whiff. Urza began slowly locking up her equipment. If there was going to be a fight, she was going to be ready. Urza's mood didn't become any less hostile as the Otokage gave boy recognition as a child before the take over of the Otobe. Urza hadn't heard much about the prior rule. But what she had heard didn't exactly put the boy in her favor. Urza saw as the boys grip on his weapon adjusted. Was he really dumb enough to attack the Otokage and four Knights of Forte on his own? Maybe the boy had a death wish. Urza decided it was best to pray for his soul, just in case things turned messy. "For there is no darkness in the Maker's Light. And nothing that He has wrought shall be lost. May your soul find rest in His eternal embrace." Urza crossed her arms sending out her prayer. If the boy was fool enough to attack the Otokage, at least Urza would have done her part. ❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 6 Hp:90/90 MHp: 72/72 Cp: 54/54 Dodge Bonus: 13 Armor Class: 19** If an attack is above the dodge bonus but below the Armor Class bonus damage is halved. If it wasn't for the Otokage, she probably would have punched him in the face, and possibly the gut for good measure. The Kage also seemed to be placing himself in front of the students. How could someone not like him? He was the dream Oto had been waiting for! She decided to stand there and wait to see where the conversation would lead, and go from there. The Kage was speaking with him and he would get the answers she had.

Chishio gave a squeal of delight. "Ooooh! He's such a cute little one! Lord Orikami! We shouldn't kill him, we should give him a hug! Truly that is the best solution to these sorts of dilemmas when dealing with children!" Senkyo was standing beside his fellow knight of Forte, looking at her incredulously. "But you're hugs can kill people anyway, Chi-senpai." "What was that Sen-kun daaaaaaaaaaaarling?" Chishio was suddenly embracing the boy forcfully, nuzzling his shoulder affectionately. "Ah! Please stop doing that! We're related! It's creepy!" "Aaaaw, we're seventh cousins! That doesn't cooooount to beautiful souls such as we!" "You're the reason Bya-nii was afraid of girls before they put him in the infiltration training program!" Orikami cleared his throat with a bemused smile on his face."Our aplogies Otokage-sama." the two bowed, suddenly silent...though Chishio was still manhandling the younger knight of Forte. ((Epic speech of epicneeeeeesssss!!!)) Orikami Diplomacy check Diplomacy: 40+25 Roll: 12+65=77 Orikami gave a slight chuckle. "My apologies, Sir Okazai." the Otokage said with a tone of voice that suggested there was nothing to be done. "My Clanmates can be...exhausting at times. They are by no means, as my father would have had you believe, perfect." he sighed, closing his eyes with a complex musing smile on his face. "I know well that you must feel only the most bitter of hatreds for myself and my clan. I could not possibly penalize you for such a thing." he shook his head. "Your clanmate, Kasuke, was a good man. Maybe even a great man. A better man then perhaps even I." he stopped the begun interjections from his subordinates. "When the Uchiha ruined our land, when they brought despair to Rice...to Oto, Kasuke was the man who brought it back to life. He began to rebuild what had been lost, and took us out of a very dark time in our history." Orikami opened his eyes with an approving smile. "He truly believed that Oto could be a place of peace and happiness, just as I do." he put a hand over his heart. "He wished for a world where Ninja, were warriors...where war itself, were not necessary. He taught his beliefs to others, and to those under him, and he tried in all things to be a man of peace...to be a man who could create the world he spoke of by example."
But a tinge of...regret? Sadness? Lament? Entered the Otokage's face. "However there are blind men in this world who will not follow such an example, even if it right in front of them." he looked more stern. "When Our lands fell under attack. Kasuke sought a peaceful solution. He held back his forces from retaking the borders for fear it could lead to war. For fear that it might send the young one's of his village into the fight too soon...for fear that the peace he had worked so hard for would shatter..." Orikami shook his head. "But what happened while he delayed? What happened while he hesitated? True, Oto itself was peaceful, but the southern forests burned for his hesitation. Lives were lost, village pillaged. Homes and lives lost." he seemed openly disapproving now, a rare sight on the Otokage's generally smiling face.
"And when my father brought on the invasion of Oto...when he sought in his mind to reclaim what we of the Otobe had lost...Kasuke was forced to realize that he could not protect even his village with his ideals. He managed to kill my father...only to fall to me." Orikami was solemn, but not sad, he sounded as if he was merely explaining the facts. "When the position of Otokage fell to me, I knew that I could not lead in my father's foot steps. I refused to believe that we Otobe should hold ourselves up as some form of gods..." he however gestured to those behind him. "But Kasuke's way...I knew that I could not abide that either. Because alas the world were Ninja's and those willing to fight is not this one. For as I have said before a world where fighting is not needed is a world where nothing is worth fighting for!" he continued to gesture to the children behind him. "And they are worth for. The people of OUR land are worth fighting for. The future, the ideals that we of the sound hold on to. ALL of those things are worth fighting for. I reclaimed the border under this belief. I brought peace from my father's war, I tamed the hatred between my clan and the people of the Sound...all for this belief."
Orikami lowered his hands to his sides. "And I do not bare any hatred towards you, young man, though your clan mate killed my father, and though you have likely come here to kill me." his face was serious, but not angry. "I believe in Oto. And I believe that the path I am taking, though not perfect, is the right one. If it means that I must fight those whom I do not hate...then I am prepared." he smiled once again however. "But, I've said before that enough Otogakuran blood has been spilled by Otogakuran hands... I would ask, Sir Okazai, that you do as I have done, and cast aside the hatred for past deeds. We of Oto can build a bright future if we work together... so I ask of you, young man who has the same eyes as Kasuke... would you instead stand with us...? Even if you still hate me. Would you put it aside for the sake of the people of Oto...? Please." he was still smiling.

Toshi looked into the man's eyes, stunned and thrown off step. He didn't know what to say. His hand slowly went slacked on the fuuma. He took a deep breath before speaking. "I've always been fighting for Oto. One way or another. . . I will work with YOUR "Oto"... ONLY Oto..." He ground his teeth as he looked down, placing the fuuma on his back. "My Otokage..." The words sliced deeper at him than the blades of the mercenary he had fought to survive. His heart still felt a stab of pain as a soft wind slowly surrounded him. He paused and thought to himself. 'No... That's not-... It couldn't be.' He knelt before the Otokage and spoke still looking down. "Does a man with the name kyojin work under you? He has a strange laugh that sounds like. . . 'Chi chi chi.'?"

Urza nearly laughed. She knew first hand that the Otokage was gifted with a silver tongue. But for him to be able to sway a man from homicidal to tenitive ally. Well... It was just brilliant. Urza looked at Miyako, a bit of concern in her eyes. If he was willing to attack them from a brush before, what would make him any less dangerous now? Urza sighed, but listened to the boy speak. He was a lot like her in a way. Simply trying to be the shield for a body already blown away to dust. It struck a chord in Urza's heart, but she still didn't trust him. If she discovered his intentions were foul, she would have no problem doing to him what she had done to 0009, and she was sure the other felt the same way. The boy than mentioned the creepy man... Kyojin... The only man other than Yuzuki that had sent shivers up the girls spine upon introduction. ❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 6 Hp:90/90 MHp: 72/72 Cp: 54/54 Dodge Bonus: 13 Armor Class: 19** If an attack is above the dodge bonus but below the Armor Class bonus damage is halved. ******* Over with Qyp in the mercenary caravan**************** Gil gave a rather carefree smile. "Heh, yep. You're an odd one alright. Still, you got the job done. Come on, we're heading out. We have to make it to Mizuoh before the Otokage and his envoy to make way for their arrival." he gave a laugh. "Orion doesn't like to be kept waiting." Orion was what all those of the west called the Otokage. It was his name among them, as much as a title. A name for a warior hung in the heavens...and thus was what he was to them. They had simalar nicknames for all the knight's of forte, and had had one for Orikami's father before he passed as well. It was merely their way. "So, girlie. Or Rinkou, what have you. What exactly do you plan to tell Orion when you meet up with huh? "Oh hey there mister Otokage, I decided to leave the village on my own and follow after you across miles and miles of dangerous countryside! How's it goin!?"." Gil gave a laugh. "Ahhh, priceless. I guess you're just eager to get out and see the world huh? I guess I can get that." he indicated a nearby wagon. "Here, hop on up." he himself jumped up unto the side of the wagon, looking rather at home in the life of a caravaneer. The horses pulling the wagons began to move, the wago wheels turning as he indicated for her to jump on up. "We'll hop from Wagon to wagon from here up to get you something to eat. You gotta be hungry after stowing away this whole time huh?" they wer heading on towards the port...they should reach it soon... **Unless you want to train some more Qyp, I think we'll have to train off time from here on out and have you arrive at the port as the envoy does. lol Then...the journey...continuuuuues.**

Mikito had been standing by with his hands set to his amplifier, ready to step in and save the kid from hurting any of the others, or in the FAR more likely case getting himself killed. He knew him, if only in passing. Kasuke's little cousin. He wasn't entirely sure but he might have been in one of the academy classes he'd been assigned to substitute teach during his run as a Chuunin. Even so, he was working for the Otobe now...and he couldn't just go easy on this kid knowing what that might mean. His best case to deal with it was to subdue the kid quickly without killing him. Then Orikami had opened his mouth. It was really amazing what the guy could do with his words...and to be perfectly honest...he didn't think much of it was lies either. Orikami truly believed in what he was saying... he did want to make Oto great, to protect all the people under his command, and bring them all into a new age of prosperity...but... as the kid seemed to back down, Mikito's hand left his amplifier. But the problem was that the five great Ninja Nations thought of both Rice, and Oto, as a joke. A glorified battle ground. Something that could never compare to them. In order to fulfill Orikami's goals...they would need to make a war unlike any the nations had seen in sometime, the Otobe's mercenaries and their elite forces leading the charge. In reality, the Fire Daimyo was perfect for this. To be able to make war while still being the hero. To conquer as a liberator, not a tyrant. To rule as a benevolent Shepard, not a cruel despot. Orikami's goals were good, his methods less so, but it didn't matter in the end because he didn't need to resort to wicked measures to achieve them. He was a hero by circumstance...a man with good intentions, who was spare the need to go too far to achieve them by convenience. Mikito closed his eyes. However, it made calling him a villain impossible. How did you call someone a villain for something they might have hypothetically done? Especially when the person could talk their way out of anything the way Orikami could... still...Mikito looked at the man, standing by the students as well. Their Otokage was a man who was willing to do anything to protect his village and what he guided. That was where he and Kasuke differed. He would watch the land of fire burn with that smile on his face, if it meant that Rice could thrive... it was just a good thing that taking over territory was better for a country then destroying it. Then Kyojin's name was mentioned. Mikito's eyes bugged slightly. "W-wha! Kyojin!?" he looked a little thrown. "Kid are you kiddin me? How the hell do you know him?" Orikami smiled, looking a little tickled himself. "Hn hn, yes, it is rather...unusual, that you would be familiar with Kyojin-san. Senkyo was still looking as though Chishio had him in some manner of headlock. "What he means is, it's usual that you're alive." he muttered childishly out of the side of his mouth. Orikami gave another short laugh, but nodded. "Yes. Kyojin-san is indeed a newly instated shinobi of the Sound Village, his Missing Nin status revoked by our banner. He worked with us when we took the village. In fact, his strategies allowed us to take the village without harming the civilian population. I owe him a great deal." he looked over his shoulder at Mikito. "And don't allow Mikito's reaction throw you off, he's just upset that Kyojin-san got the mission he wanted." he laughed almost childishly as Mikito "haarumphed" and Orikami turned back to Toshi. "He's currently on assignment to retrieve Xenon Maboroshi and Kimiko Momoe. Peacefully, mind." he put his arms behind him militantly. "as I have said many a time. We do not blame the Shinobi of old Oto their suspicions, and I believe that Kyojin is suited to convincing "The Nightmare of Oto" to return." Kina seemed to twitch beside the other students as her elder cousins name was brought into the conversation so suddenly her face growing slightly uncomfortable. "I...suppose that makes sense..." she deigned to speak. "Kyojin...he actually..." she then looked off to the side a true show of her clan's typical mellow attitude. "I think he's got some kind of weird man crush on Xen." Yokijo and Mido and...even Mikito? All practically face vaulted in exasperation at this comment. Senkyo however looked suddenly very awkward...more awkward then usual while being groped by Chishio. "EHEHEHEHE...yeah! Cause...getting a really awkward crush on someone when you first meet them and they're disguised as a girl would be REALLY weird huh!? AHAHA! And not make you question yourself at ALL! AHAHAH!" he twitched slightly. "But, hypothetically, if that happened, you would totally be over it by now, and NOT have to do really adult things with your seventh cousin to figure that out! AHAHAHAHA!!" he was laughing really loud... "Cause THAT would reeeeeeally weird right..? Right?" "You wouldn't...?" Chishio inquired. She gave a smirk. "Then why when you came back from-" "LALALALALALALALA! NOT LISTENING!" "Sen-kun darling we're Otobe...we can't plug our ears." Kina however interjected with a mellow faced pointed finger. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure he has a man crush on Xen too." "I DO NOT!!" Senkyo said hysterically. "Honest! Xen-san was just the very first real friend I ever had! I swear! I like girls! I DO!" Chisho winked. "I believe you Seeeen-kuuuuun!" "That's not comforting at all!!" Orikami was sweating slightly, slowly putting a hand over his face. "And this is why I sent Kyojin, and not Mikito, or Senkyo." he sighed, looking at them all and clapping. "Well, let's get a move on shall we? Stretch our legs. We're almost to the port!""Ahem!" Chishio reminded indignantly. Orikami gave another accepting sigh. "Yes, yes, it would be utterly shameful for a Kage to have to walk." he stepped back up unto his platform, the officers lifting it back up as he sat down. "Let's carry on then.""Seriously! Kina-chan! Your Xen-san's cousin! You believe right!?" Kina blinked lifting a brow. "I don't know...Cousin Xen's a really smooth kinda guy...I'd believe that he got a straight guy to fall for him." Kina gave a wink towards Urza and Miyako, clearly just pushing the odd Knight of Forte's buttons, but Senkyo apparently didn't notice. "AHHH!! It's not truuuuuuuuuuuue!!" Senkyo razzled his own hair, Chishio petting him in what was supposed to be a comforting manner. Mikito though, was now standing next to Toshi, giving a long sigh. "The whole "we're not evil" thing really gets easier to believe the more you get to know them..." he adjusted his hat, aggravated. "And if they ARE evil...well heck. They're not perfect, I know. But...for now," he seemed to emphasize this "it's better for Oto...for Rice, to serve them loyally." he whispered this to the boy, patting him on the shoulder, before gesturing to the other students. "Alright, come on, new groupie along for the ride changes nothing, kage says move we move. I want to get to this port before next year, kids." And they all headed off along their way, the students in back getting a chance to converse amongst each other before they reached the port... ((We'll be pretending that between the village and the Ryousei incident, a few days passed, also between the Ryousei incident and now. So we're almost at the port. wink wink ))

Toshi kept his mouth shut as he followed along the carts. Not happy to talk to anyone he mumbled to himself. "Henge no jutsu." He took the form of what looked like a midnight black wolf and continued to follow along as his thoughts raced one after another. A slight growl came from within the back of his throat. 'So it was Kyojin that got passed everything... It could have been worse... But that isn't a plus either...' His thoughts shifted to the person that pat his shoulder. He looked familiar to him. 'The way he talked... It was like he was part of the hidden sound... A betrayer... ' His tail and the hackles of hair on his back started to rise. 'At current I can't do anything... I'd have problems handling the other students alone, not to mention the ... The Otokage himself... Kyojin... after Xen and that squad... I've seen them in passing. It must have been them that fought a large part of the enemy force... He knew this was coming... When he gets back he's gunna get a piece of my mind.' He growled to himself then winced as he remembered everything leading up to today.
