With a smile, Levi acquired a few combos, repeating them in her head rapidly so she wouldn't muck them all up together before heading back to Akithor's locker. Akithor... 101
Oinqa? West stood in front of the locker just one over. The name was that of a ghoul. Levi was pretty sure Akithor had run into this ghoul; quite literally, in fact. The tatzel couldn't help but perk a smile at the thought of West entering the mind of a ghoul. She was quite a ghoulie type of ghoul from what she could recall. Oh, he must've had a ball of a time. Hope ya'll behaved. Levi spoke ever so causally while putting in the combination 13-22-11 and the door creaking open to Akithor's locker.

The first thing Levi noticed was the plastering of images from magazines along the door with similar square-like imagery. Then near the top of the locker was a box. Levi took the box under one arm and continued on with her inspection. Oh aye! Lookie 'ere... I recognize this thingar.

Hanging off one of the hooks in a bag was a box-like object or device. Levi could tell what it was only because she'd seen the mechanism in action. Game thin gar that I saw'im playin'. Whole fire'n things goin' on 'n tha'boil just kept'a playin'. The tatzel sighed that such a boil existed and became so very close to these games. In this bag was Akithor's scarestation v.1 with a couple of games.

She kind of wanted to keep them. It was something sort of memorable about the boil that had lived and dissipated long before her schooling here. The tatzel wanted to honor his memory in a way; they were just that important to him, after all. I'think- Levi took the bag off the hook, looking it over for holes or possible damages. I think I might wanna bring this back home. It had been here so long she we slightly concerned that it might disintegrate on her or something at any moment.

Plus, if the way was clear now, it might not always be so. If she wanted to keep Akithor's game system as it was in one piece and consequence-free, she would up and leave immediately. There was still the box under her arm to consider. Mulling over the possibilities, Levi kept it under her arm. Leaning to see into the locker West was inspecting, Levi noted there was a box there as well. If ya'find out how ta'open 'em, lemme know? Bringin' this one back up too.

She had an eyephone now. If West really had to, he could always text her if he found out something terribly important about it. Like if there was a critter inside that would eat all her crops. I'll see ya. Headin' back'on up! Gimmie a shout if- She paused, lowering her voice significantly, if ya'need me.

"There's no key in this one either," Shun murmured while moving the box around. He wanted to know what was inside exactly. It was also a curious matter that Quin had a matching box. Perhaps that was a part of the reason why he wanted to see what was within.

However, it didn't seem like they had a means of opening it right now.

"I believe I have found Vel's journal too," he added while holding up the book.

He pulled open the squeaky door, expecting a load of rotting candy or a thousand dogeared copies of Draugr Beat to fall at his feet, but the ghoul's locker was surprisingly empty. Inside, there was a stack of neat notebooks, the top one decorated with marker hearts and stickers. Nearby there was a gaudy plastic ring. Its utter tackiness made West cringe, but he pocketed it anyway, hopefully before anyone saw that he had.

When Levi spoke, he looked to her again, leaning back a little so he wasn't screaming in Ren's face. "What'cha got... oh. Yeah. 'Could see if it still works." He wasn't thinking about challenging her to a couple of games... or maybe he was. It was a really stupid idea, considering that he didn't know which way was up on a scarestation, but there it was. West smirked. "Y'gonna do it now? I'm, um, gonna stay." He would follow soon enough, he was just too curious about this place to leave just yet. The boil nodded as she took her leave and reached back into the locker to rifle through one of Oinqa's books.

With the code from Mitsu's book, Thackery dutifully turned back to the locker, holding his breath as he turned the dial on the lock. Pity it didn't have a key, but this was close enough.

"Okay. Locker 113. 35...34...33..." he quietly breathed aloud. Another laugh bubbled out of him when it clicked open; her memory for numbers must have been a lot like his, with that kind of combination.

He almost didn't want to open it. But curiosity was a strong thing, and he tugged on the lock, slipping it from the handle to let it rest in his palm. He pulled on the handle, and squinted when he looked inside, half expecting something to jump out at him.

Nothing did, really. It was surprisingly clean for someone like Taru, all wild and unpredictable. There were pictures of her taped up all over the inside of the locker: the kitsune with Bee, with friends he didn't recognize, in places she must have vacationed, with Malcolm. One of the pictures tucked in the very back of the locker showed a very different Taru with other kitsunes that he assumed must have been her family. They looked happy together.

His heart sank.

Thackery did his very best not to cry, but a tear or two might have slipped through. Maybe. He chewed his lip as he looked through the rest of the locker's contents, the things that she'd looked at every day. There were bone-shaped FEAR treats, origami stars in a jar, half-chewed homework packets, and school books. One of the books looked a little different, though; instead of a name on the spine, there were gold stars and filigree. Intrigued, he pulled it from its place, sending the other books tumbling to the bottom of the locker with a series of loud thunks.

"A journal, maybe?" he mused aloud, turning the book over in his hands. The cover was clasped shut with a strip of sturdy metal, but the key was still in the lock, decorated with stars and gold that matched the book's spine. He'd read it later. Opening it here felt really...wrong.

His hand pressed against the door, closing it halfway. Just beyond the metal edge, he could see another student moving back and forth, towards the locker, away from the locker...what. He couldn't tell if he was having trouble or was just extremely apprehensive about opening it, but his persistence seemed to imply that it was the former.

"Hey, uh." He slowly shuffled closer, not wanting to intimidate or embarrass him. "Is the lock stuck or broken or something?"

Yin's head snapped toward the boil that had addressed him, allowing himself a look completely helplessness. "I am not sure," he informed him, gesturing at it. "I do not know how it works." As if to demonstrate he tried yet again to open the door, wondering at this point if he should just try to pry the door open. It was not so much that he needed to see what Octavia had in her locker, it was the simple fact that he could do it. He would do it.

So why was it so hard? "The ghoul over there told me to try 58-22-02 but when I try it the door does not open or anything." He was frowning at the lock, as if it was purposefully doing it just to spite him. Noticing that he had something in hand, a book it seemed, Yin glanced up to see that in the direction he had come from a door was half open. "Do you know how to make it work?" He asked almost excitedly. Off to the side he thought he heard his name, but he did not take the time to look at the moment. There was the possibility that someone who knew what to do might help him.

Shehk couldn't help but shake the box she pulled out of d**k's locker a few times before she tried to peek in through the keyhole. Interesting. However, the inside of the locker was sort of expected - a poster of a somewhat outdated looking sexy lady, a list of names of people he would, quote 'beat yet' (hmm, Vel and Quin were both on there, as was Red..... apparently he wasn't good at battling the ladies), and a few small stone statues.

The pricolici took one of said statues, barely bigger than her hand, out of the locker and turned it over a few times. Something in the back of her head gave her the feeling that d**k had really enjoyed making this kind of stuff, actually....

Locker 100

What was this, a shrine? Had Arel come and visited the lockers of the forgotten all this time? The gesture was nice, sure, but Mort couldn't help but wonder what it was like to have the ghosts of the past so close to the secretary's office, forever haunting him behind the bookcase. Did Nurse Cricket do the same? Had Red? The other teachers who had lived?

It was one thing to have an actual ghost student haunt you, but to watch, to know so many classmates were beyond reach now . . . The underground corridor didn't have to already have an ominous atmosphere to make Mort feel uncomfortable. What they were doing could almost be considered grave robbing . . .

Even so, the zomboil scanned the lockers nevertheless, curious to know if a certain paper golem's name was among them. "Not here," he told the winged ghoul. "Might have different corridor. If do find, let know?" 188 might have been Arel's old locker or something, and who knew what the demon might have stowed away.

What? Arel was alive (as far as they knew), and anything of use would have been given back once its purpose was fulfilled.

Eventually Mort's eyes alighted on a locker with the words Callie Codex inked on an aged piece of papyrus on the 100th locker. Beneath it in proud bold lettering was Future Boogeyman with . . . hearts accentuating the two words. It was almost like reading Bells' handwriting.

Consulting Mitsu's book as the rest did, Mort twisted the knob to match the numbers 12-25-23 and pulled it open, a tad surprised to find the inside rather organized. Or maybe all ghouls were like that. Or maybe he was just really, really lazy about his things. In any case, the inside of the locker was plastered with news clippings about various never-do-wells being captured, several photos of celebrities, and a motivational poster stuck to the inside of the door just above a mirror centered around being confident and pursuing your dream. But beyond a backpack and a strange gold box, the locker was surprisingly empty (noisy decorating none withstanding).

Mort blinked, unsure of himself as he reached out and took the items, slinging the backpack over his shoulders and holding the box up for inspection. Interesting . . . And there was something within too.

Too bad he wouldn't be able to figure out what it was just yet.

As the boil attempted yet again to open the locker, Thackery watched with a thoughtful frown, hoping to see what was going wrong. This was not exactly his expertise - if he were having key troubles, maybe - but on the off chance that he might be able to help...

And there it was.

"Oh! Okay. You did it right, but you have to pull on it when you're finished. Like this!" He reached towards the lock and gave it a good tug, relieved to hear the little click as it released its hold. He would have felt pretty terrible if it didn't open after all.

He smiled brightly at the other boil. "I don't think we've really met outside of class or anything before. I'm Thackery." Pausing, he glanced at the locker. "Did you know um..." His nose scrunched up as he tried to read the name on it. "Octavia? From the trance?"

104 - 12-19-28

Opening the locker didn't feel right. But it didn't feel wrong either, as Vaith slid his hand into the handle. He tried to rationalize it in his head, about how somebody had to open their possessions since the owners themselves weren't here.

At least, he felt bad at first. Until he opened the locker. It was absolutely amazing how many notebooks Zeke had. One for every class, too many observation journals .. Vaith hadn't scored much, with just bags of notebooks and pens in this locker. But he hadn't been looking to "score" either .

But something about the last bag felt different. Really different. Holding the box in the crook of his arm, he pulled to loosen the little string pouch.. and saw something heartbreaking inside.

Moving past Shehk and her odd box Sammy let her fingers tap a few locker doors eventually she stopped before 108waving at Shehk, "I found Malther... he was the dragon fellow I followed... or was.. or something." She waved to Mitsu gaining the locker combination. 20-40-21

Leaning close she twisted the knob a few times before a soft click was heard. When the locker fell open, well, Sammy had hit the mother load.

"Holy Jack. Shehk Shehkshehkshehk!" Inside was a small bag of silver seeds, but more interestingly to Sammy was the small cask of Cider labeled 'Personal Make 1992' there was also an old lock box but... free cider!

((Via joint effort Yin and Thackery opened 117 with 58-22-02 for Yin in multi posts))

That was it? It made no sense that the lock would not give, when you turned a key in the lock it gave, and the door opened when you turned the handle. Still, it was unlocked, and that was what was key. At least, it was after Yin took the lock out of the hook, which he only did after testing the door once more. Well, no one was perfect. He looked at the other boil, and could not help but smile back at him with how cheerful the cereberus looked and sounded.

"Thank you Thackery." Outside of class, so in class together before...hm...well yes, he did seem to remember him from Sex--that one class with Nurse Cricket, and perhaps others as well. "I am called Yǐn Cáng." He glanced at the locker as well, peering up at her name. Know her? Not entirely. "From the trance, yes." His voice quieted a touch as he thought about her. "She loved scarelings. She wanted to take care of them and open a dayscare." He glanced at the row of lockers from where Thackery had come from. "Did you recognize your locker as well?" Were all of the lockers owned by those they had encountered in Trance?

Lumikki ran her fingers over the locker once again still unsure of what to do, it seemed like the other lockers had contained little items but she knew that this locker might contain something a little more practical, or atleast she was worried about it. Thinking back to the memory she saw,

"I'll just put this in here for safe keeping...then go find Melusine..."
The reaper placed the golden vase filled with golden coins in the open locker before shoving books back in front of it.

Sighing softly she lifted the handle and looked around. She was still wondering what ever happened to him, peering in to the locker she giggled slightly, there was a lot of items still in the locker, he must have not cared to clean it out. A DETH banner that she picked up and held for a moment before she slowly moved the books around, there it was the vase and the gold coins. Looking around before she quickly scooped up the vase and hid it in a bag she saw in the locker. Before closing the locker she noticed a box. Shiny....grabbing it she frowned, it was locked. But...it was still pretty, shouldering the backpack she held the DETH banner in one hand and the box in the other.

"An...anyone have any idea on how to open these?"
