Inari nodded her head. She got out but left her head in. "Good. I never want to see you again. I hope you never. Come. Back." she lied through her teeth and slammed the door, running away. She burst into the house, "Daddy!" She cried, running into his arms. She figured that she'd be grounded later but, right now, she was greatful that he just rubbed her back.

"I won't come back!!!! You can count on it!!!" Jeromy yelled after Inari, even though it was a bonafide lie. He didn't know when he would come back but it was bound to happen eventually. He put his car in drive and drove to the hospital to get his wounds checked. He needed stitches in two of the claw marks and the others were fine. After that he went home, to his room. He lay on his bed, just staring blankly at the ceiling. He womdered if he really should move or not. It would save him all the trouble of having to face Inari again, but it wouldn't change the things he was feeling for her. Yes, there was lust that he was feeling, but it was more than just that. Regret was gnawing at him like the sound of a mouse gnawing on wood. It's annoying and you just want it to stop, even though there's not much yogu can do to stop it.

After crying in her dad's arms for an hour, Inari was sent upstairs. Her personal servant, Halle, had prepared a bath for her, fille with oils, scents and all the essentials. When she was done crying for another hour in these, Halle dressed her in warm PJ's and a warm robe, watching Her injured arm. The arm would be a constant reminder of Jeromy and Inari just wanted it to heal, already. She spent most of the evening in bed, a tub of ice cream in hand, and watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S reruns. The thought of Jeromy never left her mind... And, strangely enough, she didnt mind.

Jeromy went and got something to eat but it just didn't seem to agree with his stomache. He was sick to his stomache and just curled up in his bed, not able to stop thinking of Inari, even though he wanted to. It wasn't long before Jeromy had fallen asleep, covered by his sheets and hugging his pillow.
Whe he woke up the next morning he felt terrible and he knew that he needed to eat something. Walking to the kitchen Jeromy grabbed some cereal and munched on that. He was wasn't in the mood for anything at all. The last thing on his mind was to call Inari and apologize to her for being such an a**. However, he knew if he didn't she probably would never forgive him. Even if she didn't ever want to see him again at least he would feel better knowing that he apologized. He took a deep breath and looked through the phonebook to try finding Mr. Curneel's number but was unable to. 'Of course... It's going to be a private number...' He thought to himself, groaning. He called the operator and asked for Mr. Curneel, except asking for him by his first name. The phone rang and Jeromy had thought about hanging up, but he didn't want to chicken out. He had to swallow his pride and admit he was wrong. He heard the phone starting to ring and his breathing slowed.

In the morning, Inari woke up at 11 o'clock, when the phone rang. Her father had to leave for an important case. She picked up the phone, not recognizing the caller I.D. "Hello, Curneel residence," she said, groggily, and ran her hand through her hair. Who called at this time? Ok, her fathers clients, but...Inari was just not in the mood for talking to anyone.

Jeromy heard the phone pick up and he was about to talk when Inari's voice answered on the other end. 'Oh god... Why her? She'll not want to talk with me....' He thought to himself. Though he took a deep breath and said, "I'm really sorry for what I said and did. If you want to hang up on me you can. I just wanted you to know how sorry I am for being an a** to you." He held his breath and was waiting for the click, letting him know Inari hung up.

Inari waited for the person to respond and picked her nails. When she heard the voice...Oh...god... Why is be calling!? she thought. She was trying to forget about him! "...Why did you bother, Jeromy?" she managed to choke out.

When Jeromy didin't hear the phone hang up and Inari ask why he bothered to call he said, "I just wanted to apologize. If you don't accept it then I can't make you." He was about to hang up when he added, "I know you probably hate me, but I just wanted you to know I don't hate you. Bye." He sighed and hung up the phone, not wanting to get into an arguement with Inari over the phone.

Inari's eyes were wide. "I don't hate you..." she said to the beep on the phone. She wanted to see him... But she wanted him to come her. She wanted him to want her...Maybe she would see hi- no, no shed stay strong. Well, maybe I can check up on the neighborhood... she bit her lip and went upstairs. After showering and puttin on a light blue dress and walked to his neighborhood, just walking.

Jeromy was stalking around his house when he decided he would slink out into the sunlight outside. He didn't want to go outside, but he thought it would be good for him to do so. Sitting on his porch, Jeromy would've had his shirt off. But after the mountain lion attacked him he didn't think he'd ever be able to go shirtless ever again.{ooc: Sorry this is so short sweatdrop }

Inari bit her lip, "I'm so stupid... I shouldn't have come..." she reprimanded herself. Instead, she kept walking. She was at the house before Jeromy's and, before she could stop herself, she kept walking. She turned her head and saw Jeromy. "Oh, s**t..." age swore and turned around right away.

Jeromy was sitting on his porch, his eyes closed; he was trying to remember Inari's face, her soft eyes, silky hair and the feeling he got when he lay his hand on her face. He heard what he thought to be Inari's voice, but he thought that was just his imagination as well.
There were two thugs in an alley and happened to notice Inari walking passed. The first one was brawny and looked like he would be on a football team. The other one was scrawny and lanky. He was very cruel looking though and he had a gun hidden under his jacket. They both walked out of the alley and started stalking up behind Inari.
Jeromy had opened his eyes and noticed the two guys. What did Warren and Barret want? That was when he saw Inari. 'Oh god......' He thought. He got up and pulled his knife out, slinking after them.
Warren, the skinnier one with the gun slipped around infront of Inari. Then Barret took and slammed her into a wall of a building. Both men were grinning evily at Inari and were planning to do dirty things with her.
"You get away from her you scumbags." Jeromy snarled at the two men. He wasn't going to let them have what was his.
Warren turned to face Jeromy. "Well, well Jeromy. You decide to show your face around here after being gone for a few days. Why is this?" Warren hissed at Jeromy.
"Let her go and no one will get hurt." Jeromy growled as he lunged at Warren. He saw the gun that was pulled from Warren's jacket and his eyes widened. Luckily he wasn't in the line of fire and when the gun went off he stabbed Warren.
Warren hissed and then pulled the trigger again, but the gun had jammed. He looked to Barret, who was already going after Jeromy. He got to Jeromy and slammed him to the ground, kicking him in the ribs. "No one hurts Warren and lives." Barret bellowed.
Jeromy was dazed a bit, but staggered to his feet. He was about to stab Barret when he heard what sounded like a police radio warning them to stop fighting. Jeromy swayed a bit as he swore. He saw the guns pointing at him, Warren and Barret. 'Great...' He thought sarcastically.{ooc: Had to add some drama XD I hope that this wasn't too much sweatdrop }

Inari was muttering to herself, walking away when the two thugs came. "Hey, whore. I'm gonna **** you up!" one of them said and Inari let out a scream. That's when the sh*t hit the fan. The smaller man slipped in front of her and she saw a gun, then she was slammed against the wall. Somehow, she was still conscious. She could feel blood pouring from he head and her right arm screamed in pain.
She saw Jeromy and sighed in relief. Her eyes were barely open but they widened as she saw Jeromy almost get shot, and then Jeromy stabbing one of the guys, whom she learned was Warren. "Jeromy!" her voice was feeble. Then, she heard the police and saw them pointing the guns. She got up? Her body protesting, and limped to Jeromy, shielding him with her body. "No! Them..." was all she managed before she fainted and her world went black. ((You can god mod a little if she wakes up in the hospital haha))

Jeromy saw Inari getting up after being smashed into the wall and walk to him, shielding him. He was a bit confused, but knew he didn't need to be. When he saw Inari falling and that she was bleeding he became enraged, but he caught her. He wasn't going to let her get hurt any more. He saw the cops motion that he could go after they put their guns on Warren and Barret. Jeromy carried Inari to his car and then buckled her in. He knew he was going way to fast, but he had to get her help.
Once at the ER, Jeromy carefully carried Inari into the hospital saying, "We need some help here now!" He knew his tone was probably unexceptable, but he wasn't about to let Inari be hurt any longer. There was a nurse that came up to Jeromy and then helped him take Inari back to get checked on.
It was a few hours after Jeromy got Inari to the hospital and he was sitting in the room with Inari. He had just gone to the pay-phone and called to find out if Inari's father would be able to come see her. It was a long shot, but he thought it was worth it. 'Please be ok....' Jeromy thought as he lightly took Inari's left hand in his own.

Inari woke up in a bright white room and quickly shut her eyes. Slowly, she opened her eyes and realized she was in a hospital room. Her head was pounding, her throat was dry, her body was covered in a hospital gown and her body was cold...except her left hand. She looked to the left, the movement making a fresh wave of pain wrack her body. She saw Jeromy and her heart thumped, "Jeromy..." she croaked, squeezing his hand. "Don't go... Don't go..." her eyes dropped, but she didn't sleep.
