Chris nodded and let her go, but he didn't need to think about it. Maybe if he stayed longer, she could get a nap in; get some more sleep. He finished his coffee and put down the only money he had with him; a five dollar bill. Chris waited for Ginny and, when she came back, he stood up. "Ready? Ten minutes later, Ginny clocked out and took off her apron, hanging it up in the closet with her bag. "Come on," she said, taking Chris's hand and pulling him toward the kitchen. She helped herself to a bowl of chicken noodle soup and turned to Chris. "I know you just finished drinking your coffee, but are you hungry? It won't cost anything as long as it's either soup or a sandwich."

"No, I'm not hungry. Thanks." he smiled and let her, once again, lead him outside. There were a few crates against the wall and, letting go of Ginny's hand, he moved them together. "Let's have a seat... Ginny nodded and led Chris outside. Although it was raining, the diner had a tiny covered deck out back where people could eat if they chose to. Most people stayed inside, though, because they preferred the atmosphere. Ginny watched as Chris pushed a couple crated together and smiled as she sat down. "If I even tried to take a nap I wouldn't wake up until tomorrow," she said, blowing on her soup to cool it down. "I don't remember the last time I had a decent amount of sleep..." She chuckled softly then put a spoonful of soup in her mouth. "Enough about me, it's your turn to talk. I mean, we're dating and we barely know anything about each other.

Ginny frowned. "Fiiine," she said, disappointed. "And no, you don't." When Chris said his birthday, her frown turned into a smile. "Really? That's only a couple weeks away! As for my favorite food, I really love kiwi, but if you're asking about something that's prepared then I'd have to say... fettuccine alfredo." Ginny had some more of her soup, silently wishing that it was a bowl of pasta instead. "My next question is what do you want for your birthday?"

"Really?" Ginny asked, a little skeptical at first, but she was eager to give Chris's cooking skills a chance. After all, having a boyfriend that could cook would be a huge plus. "Alright. Maybe this weekend you can make some for me? My place or yours?" She smiled, setting her empty bowl down on one of the tables. When he responded to her other question, she said, "I asked what to you want, not what do you want to do," before her smiled faded. "A-already? I... I'm not sure that would be a good idea... Ever... Most parents I've met hate me because I had a kid so young..."

Ginny smiled. "Alright then," she said. "Your place this weekend. Just make sure you childproof first so Alex doesn't get into anything." She then rested her head on Chris's shoulder, sighing softly as she listened to him. "I... I guess we could go... I mean, it's what you want and we have to meet them eventually, right?" Lifting her head, Ginny smiled up at her boyfriend and planted a gentle kiss on his lips. "But I still want to give you something. Sooo you should give me ideas."
