She looked the couple over, a false smile on her face. It was particularly obvious when she looked over Danny. "Just two? Table or booth?" She asked sweetly. "Um..." Alexander responded, looking to Danny. The waitress just smiled and put a hand on his shoulder. "Just follow me." Danny looked up at Alexander when he had looked down at her for an answer. But she never got to say anything. A slightly offended expression made its way onto Danny's face when the waitress turned around and started leading them to their table, particularly because of the look she gave her. What was that for? she thought, scratching her head, her thoughts sour. She followed next to Alexander and once they stopped at a specific booth, Danny slid herself into a seat. She usually liked booths more than open tables just because they felt more cozy, or maybe more enclosed. More personal.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander gave the waitress his drink order, waited for Danny to do the same, then watched as she sauntered away, her hips swinging pointedly. Alexander smiled at Danny some. "A little bit weird, this one." He said lightly. Of course he knew what was going on. This girl was pretty and pampered, her blonde hair pulled up in the perfect ponytail, her shirt a little too low cut under her apron. She wanted to reassure herself that she was the prettiest so she was going to flaunt and flirt with the most handsome, taken guy in the restaurant. Too bad Alexander was going to have to dissappoint her.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny watched the waitress walk away after she ordered her drink, and looked down at the table, her brows furrowed. She glanced at Alexander and at his comment she smiled. So he wasn't gawking over her? That's good thing, she thought, running a hand through her bangs. She then mentally pinched herself. Why do you care who he looks at? It's not like he can't look! You have a boyfriend, Danny! Come on!

A dark red color raced across Danny's cheeks as Alexander took her hand. "I'm fine, really!" she insisted, a little unsure about her hand being in his. It was extremely nice, though, and she didn't want to pull away. She squeezed his hand in reassurance. "I've just got things on my mind right now, that's all."

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander smiled at her gently when a thought popped into his head. His smile slipped some at the prospect on his mind. Well, she'd gotten on well with the sprites, and they were kind. Would they really be that much of a fright to her? She'd already seen the Naiads, and they really deserved some credit in her rescue...well, all the same, if she didn't seem ready... "Danny, would you perhaps prefer we eat outside? You seem troubled. Danny frowned at the sight of Alexander's smile fading. She didn't want to worry him, but at the same time she couldn't tell him why she was upset. Or at least, didn't want to. But that was cheating, wasn't it? If she considered this a 'date' or anything like that because she was with Alexander instead of Louis, then she would be cheating. But she didn't consider this a date, so why was she bothered? "It's okay, I like our booth," she told him, determined to make him feel better. She squeezed his hand again, giving him a warm smile now. This wasn't a date, so she shouldn't feel bad. She exhaled, and gazed at Alexander gently. "I'm okay, I promise."

"While I am more than inclined to believe you my dear, your body language suggests otherwise." He said, raising an eyebrow teasingly. "However, if you wish, I will let it lie." He looked up at the waitress as she came back to them with their drinks. "May I take your order, sweetie?" She said, smiling at Alexander. His eyes widened a tad and he smiled sheepishly, a light blush coming to his cheeks. "Oh I am terribly sorry. We have been conversing and I'm afraid we've not even really looked at our menus." He said, running a hand through his hair. ╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny leaned back in her booth seat as well as Alexander spoke of her body language. She should have known. She sighed, showing a sad smile, looking at her hands rather than Alexander. Of course. Man, I really need to control myself. I could probably lie all day, but anyone could know something is wrong just because of my face. At the sight of the waitress, Danny's sad smile turned into a sour frown. She said a quiet and polite 'thank you' to the young woman as she set down their drinks. She picked up her menu quickly when Alexander spoke. She chose something random from the menu, put on a quick, simple smile and said, "Um, I'll just have the chicken paprikash, please." She turned to Alexander, her smile softening a little as she gave him a look that simply said, 'Do you want me to order for you, or... ?'

Danny couldn't help but laugh at Alexander's reaction. There was something about his... innocence, or maybe charm that just made him attractive. She couldn't deny it. "Let me help you..." She gazed down at her menu again, picking something that was usually good at any restaurant. "Um, and he'll have the chicken alfredo." She turned to the waitress again, trying to hold back another giggle.

Danny gazed towards Alexander with a sort of happier expression. "Don't mention it." She looked at the waitress and her retreating figure. "She doesn't seem to like me much," she told Alexander, laughing a little as she looked down at her wrapped up silverware.
