O-hai Wilson.
Cass totally hit the floor again and moved to half-linger behind Wilson and his perpetual poker-face as he fired the gas, keeping her scarf up around her nose. Not a gas mask, but she'd use what she had.
Be adaptable, after all.
In fact, she added a little bit of added damage by firing her gun over Wilson's shoulder at the mass.
HP: 40/50
Damage: 5
Boss Health: 90

Well, he hadn't been expecting much of an answer anyways. He barely flinched as she fired over his shoulder.
Rather, Wilson just fired another shot of gas at the swarm.

She wasn't actually aware he'd been asking her anything. After all, there was a giant sentient rat-hoard that had seemed rather inclined towards eating them all, sooo...
"Hope that little girl didn't run in here..." she murmured, muffled slightly into her scarf as she stepped around Wilson, taking a tighter grip on the blade she held to move in - and hopefully not get eaten alive by rats. Unfortunately, while the rats were less inclined to move AROUND the gas to get to her, with her out in the open it was just easy to bit the s**t out of her legs, oh god ow.HP: 35/50 Damage: 0 Boss's HP: 83

"The little girl that Jordan brought downstairs earlier when he left Dakota upstairs alone..... The not-sure-if-scareling.." Cass replied, "The potentially-human." She added. If there was a human child in the house, Cass needed to find them before the 'backup', as it was, got there.
Because seriously, last thing she wanted to do was explain where she'd MISPLACED A HUMAN CHILD. Which she totally had.
A little bit of that frustration showed in the next blow to the wriggling mass.HP: 30/50 Damage: 6 Boss HP: 70

Jordan & Dakota:"L-l-like --" the little ghoul froze. Then she bolted.To stop her, roll 1d20. You must beat my roll~Cass & Wilson:The seething, shifting mass of rat flesh seemed to pause and draw back as it digested this information. "Sssso," it breathed softly, the many jaws of the rats that made up its form clicking eagerly, "They brought me one made of flesh that will not bite? Sss, sss. They were useful after all. I thank you." Rats began to peel away, dispersing. The boss' form is shrinking! Each progressive attack will raise the accuracy modifier. ie, your next attack will be -7 instead of -6, then -8, etc etc.

Wilson tried to eye the creature warily. It only got a poker face instead.

He barely heard Cass swearing as he fired off his charge.

Dakota face-planted with the ground spectacularly. The ghoul nearly tripped on him as he missed her, only to be pulled up short by Jordan as he grabbed her by the back of her shirt. "NO! No, no, no no no nononononon-"

The breezy voice became more and more disjointed as the rats peeled away, the mocking laughter growing louder and louder. "Ha ha ha HA HA HA ha ha haaaaaa!" Soon, Cass and Wilson were left in an empty dark room.

The ghoul twisted frantically to escape Jordan, her pleas becoming more and more desperate as they were broken by sobs. She had even turned and was about to pull at the shirt Jordan had before she froze, looking even more pale than before. A torrent of black rats scrambled into the hallway. Unluckily for Dakota, he was a prime target for their idea of an easy meal. The rats swarmed the down hunter and began to bite him viciously! Dakota takes 10 HP damage due to rats!Jordan takes 5 HP damage due to rats!The ghoul screamed as more rats appeared. The rats swiftly bit through the clothing that Jordan used to hold her in place. Soon, her screams were muffled then silenced as the rats swarmed over her. Bossfight ContinuedHP: 52/105 Auto Attack: -5 HP per attack Notes: This entity appears to be made up of countless rats. When the boss is struck, rats fly off of it and scamper around the room. Cass and Wilson can exit the room.

Cass swore again when she realized the room was empty. Patting Wilson on the shoulder as she moved to see if the door to said room would open from the inside at this point in ********. ********. ********. If he has that many feet, he might find our little straggler faster than we can." she bit her lower lip as she stepped out into the hall to resume her search. After all, she hadn't investigated the dining room properly yet, and well..
time seemed to be ticking down on all sides now. Crap.
