Hobbies/interests: hiking, Japanese, reading, kung-foo movies, playing dizi (Chinese flute), drinking tea, and I've been known to play Harvest Moon video games but don't play anything else these days.
Other: I like cats, kimono, geisha, archaeology, history, and thunderstorms also.
I'm sure I like other things, but whenever asked about them I managed to forget.
I'm not personally fond of the 'lesbian' word, which is why I don't use it.

England...is grey and rainy. Not so nice for someone used to the heat and sunshine! I'm in a smallish city so its not all that entertaining, but I'm going to Stonehenge on Thursday (and London...) so maybe that'll be worth seeing. Hopefully you will get to go one day! The people are certainly friendly, at least where I am. I go to the store and they call you "my love" and it makes you feel so fancy. ahah.
My tea preferences have little to do with boring england though, I like the Asian teas. Green tea is a staple, of course, but there's one called Lapsong Souchong that they dry over pine fires and it smells like a warm fire and tastes like pine resin and its amazing when its cold. I like all sorts of tea though, except minty kinds or anything with cloves or ginger in it (unless I'm sick, then ginger is great)...liquorice is surprisingly awesome too, if you haven't had it. UNITE! What tea do you like?
I was surprised though, you think of tea when you think of England but they dont seem to be into tea variety here. The people i live with just take black tea with some milk and sugar in it, which is great in its own way, but there are all kinds out there to try!

It seems to rain all the time. I too thought it would be nice, since it only rains a few weeks a year where I'm from, but it's gross. Sometimes it doesn't even rain, it just mists.../: It was weird at first, having shop people being friendly, since in 'Merica they aren't so nice usually. And it took some time understanding what they said, haha. I'm in the north so they say "ta" instead of "thanks" and I had no idea what was going on. My flatmates made fun of how I said things for weeks. Do find some! It smells a bit bad but it tastes nice, and I think its good for wintery days where you want to sit by a warm fire. I haven't had honey milk tea...I put milk in my green tea sometimes and that's nice. Do you just mix honey and milk together? I may try it if that's what you do. Today I bought rose green tea at the oriental supermarket. It smells like roses! o:

Steep your tea and then after it's darkened you add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. and then you add ice and tada!
I used to make it all the time o:< and then I stopped and I don't remember why! Oh my gosh tea that smells like roses ;~; that sounds so magical.

I got 100g for 2 pounds or so...which is less that $3, so not so bad. WELL I don't have condensed milk, but maybe I'll find some and try it out. ^ ^ It's nice, the rose tea. I also got rose flavouring/essence to make some rose lemonade in the summer. o:
