It had become a matter of pride, now. He represented the Hongshan, and had been making a sloppy mess of himself.
"Gok daekx louo, ku'kxtkou," he growled under his breath. The sand was twisting easily under his paws. It kicked behind him, likely spraying dust and sand into the eyes both opponent and allies.
But, he had sight of her again, and this time he was more careful. He barelled his way through someone else, not bothering to apologize, and then leapt. He careened into her lower legs, and the two went tumbling in a fray. But, he was scrambling, kicking out at her, and he made it to his feet first.
He tagged her sharply on the side of the face, and proclaimed, "Yai aeuo aik!" Or, simply, 'You are dead.' His tail flicked triumphantly, and he remained by her body as though unable to fathom that he had actually taken down the formidable foe.

Yes... Yes! Morag's face curled in a snarl of concentration as she watched her team mates take on the formidable red lioness, her paws flexing as she silently cheered them on. It took some doing, but finally she was knocked down and the dark lioness cheered with the rest at this great defeat of the other team. Sure, there were lots of other lions to defeat yet, but this one was a bit more personal than the rest.
It was strange to lay on the ground and watch the battle raging around her, both part of and detached from it. The medics were taking a while to arrive, but with all the leaping, reaching bodies, it wasn't much of a surprise. So, for now, she enjoyed her close up view, knowing that being removed from the area would have been far more boring... the reminder of which brought back the anger she felt at herself for falling so quickly in the game.

The line had been broken and one taken down, only one so far though. Badieh looked to all those moving around in a frenzy waiting to prepare themselves, and moved herself into the nearest shadows, from their her red gaze peered out to any that would reveal themselves. She'd lay in wait for the opportune moment.
Armada had been a fierce opponent, that Mwako'Damu knew, but it seemed as if she had been taken under control, for now, and his silver gaze looked out to watch where the others might move. He moved quickly to prepare, he hoped to catch one offguard.
Ryujin, seeing the frenzy happening, wished to rush forward, but also, knew in times of war, protection was important as well, so instead of rushing forward, for now, he kept his stand in the line, but also kept an eye for Naar.

And then there was chaos all around them, filling the air with sounds of the furious and the dying. Azar'bijan craned his head to try and get a look through the masses and couldn't keep himself from grinning widely at what he glimpsed. At the very centre of the chaos-storm was Armada. She clearly had something to prove and she certainly did that. At least he had one strong member on his team. Armada had taken out more of the enemy alone than all the others he had sent forward combined.
She managed to fell three of the enemy before being overwhelmed. But now that the attention had shifted from her, he realised that he needed to gather up what forces he could before pressing on with the attack. Three were down but Hraga's team were certainly not out. "To me!" He called above the sound of battle, casting a look about him for Roho, Kiowaa and Tswana. He hoped they hadn't been taken out whilst he'd been distracted.
Ah, no, there they are.
"Regroup!"
The word was barely out of his mouth before Roho appeared at his side and together, the pair of them backed away from the fray.
"How many left?" Roho breathed.
"Still too many."
"Armada took out some."
"Three." He agreed. "Still not enough."
"Losing heart?"
Azar scoffed. "Of course not. I could take them all on by myself and still rise victorious. I told you. We're not going to lose."
--
Naar-ehuka had backed up and watched the fighting with a wild-eyed look. Is this what real battle was like? So noisy and chaotic. Lions were falling to the sand in their mock-deaths and lions were leaping from rocks and scuffling across the sand - stirring great clouds into the air.
She coughed and sidled around to watch, wary and desperate to keep out of the way and ensure she didn't get spied by the enemy.
In the confusion, however, she lost sight of Ryujin for a brief moment and panicked.

As he stood, watching the foe regrouping, Ryujin wished to barrel into them, trifling their efforts, but there would have to be more than one. As he watched the others regroup, they needed to do the same. Where were Ka and Kai? Surely they could not be far.
They needed more numbers! Perhaps from the high ground.
As Ryujin looked back to check on Naar, she was gone, and his heart dropped. He turned and left his forward position to turn back for her, to try and make sure she had not been taken mock prisoner.
When he got closer, he skid to a stop, seeing her back up against some of the rocks, and he looked to her eyes, smiled and turned his back so that she was behind him.
He'd protect her, no matter what.

Armada snarled in rage as she was finally struck down by some rat-b*****d she couldn't even see, thanks to the sand in her eyes. Who the hell did that? Her claws sunk into the stone, and she ignored playing dead in favor of rubbing her tearing eyes.
"Whoever did that is dead," she threatened. A Hongshan, judging by the accent. She seethed. If they thought being on her bad side was the place to be, they'd find out real fast Armada held a grudge better than anyone.
"Stop blubbering," Ea smugly retorted. She arrived on scene shortly after dealing with her aunt and uncle. "A little sand in your eyes never killed anyone. You alright, Morag?"
Uh oh! They were getting swarmed! Kiowaa was neither a trained soldier, nor much of a fighter. Where most of the pride focused on war, she tended to focus on understanding why people fought. But no amount of gossip or information was going to help her out now. She'd need to be fast if she wanted to avoid Armada's fate.
The young lioness staggered back, making sure she avoided the other lions who had come down from the rocks. Wait... maybe if she...
Kiowaa tensed, and then pounced straight up the rockface. It was a tricky incline- and her claws made thick marks into the weathered stone. Once she had a stable footing, she turned around and watched the lions dance around down below.
She waited a few long moments, before trying her best at tackling one.
Next person roll 1-10. Whoever beats or matches Kiowaa will tag her out. 1. You may godmode your win. 2. If you fall under, you are tagged out.

It's not like she had even been looking up at the rocks. Kalama had just assumed that they were occupied only by members of her team at this point. But that didn't mean she should've turned her back to them, either. It proved to be very stupid when a huge weight suddenly dropped down on her.
Somehow, she managed not to buckle as Kiowaa landed squarely on her back. She roared in surprise, and once over the initial shock, she resolved that this would not do. She leaped, despite the weight upon her, then pulled back sharply upon landing. Fortunately for her, it wasn't exactly easy to hold on, and her enemy slipped off.
She didn't quite fall on her back, but Kalama was fine with pushing her down the rest of the way. Dead! Ha-ha! She looked down at her fallen enemy, pleased, then turned back towards the rest of the fight.
It was the best Sjari could do just to not get beat, with all the confusion. Armada had taken down three of his teammates, and he was making sure to avoid Roho, who seemed to be holding her own beside Azar. He couldn't spot Tswana in the mess, and figured it would just be best to stay away from the thick of battle.
He'd best keep an eye out, Kaanga said others were supposed to be coming. That was why they had rushed over, and he tried to pay attention to the battle even as he kept an eye out for oncoming reinforcements.
