Saya was exhausted. She had a little bit of injuries from defending but it was nowhere close to the injuries some of the sun hunters had. She was too tired to answer the sun division leader's question, the exhaustion weighing down heavily.

But they still had a job to do, leaving the injured hunters to rest their wounds. As brief as of a reprieve as it would be .. It was something. Saya stood up, shaking her clothes slightly to try and let loose of the sand caught within her pockets and fold of her clothes. There were still dangers around outside, weren't there? And Allan-taichou was going back out?

"Be careful, Allan Taichou and Simon Sir!" She called out after their backs, memories of Sandy and Barney still fresh. She had to convince herself, they were coming back. They always did, didn't they? Her feet collapsed, her knees folded in a japanese-style manner to unload the supplies. perhaps, it'd be better to separate it into small piles. Organizing and unloading supplies shouldn't be strenuous at all.

After he dropped his tablet off, the first face he saw was the one he'd met while he was Petra. Which, technically, meant he hadn't met her at all. So Robert moved over to stand beside Saya, folding his arms and looking as inconspicuously nonchalant as possible.

Which meant he was disturbingly obvious.

He leaned towards her from the side, and gave her a cheesy grin as he suddenly murmured out. "... Hi."

Madison trudged back into camp, weary but also wary. There had been attacks, yes, but they had been well protected... but there was something here, something worse than anything they'd yet seen. There had to be. Why would they be here, otherwise, and fighting so hard to remain?

The Death trainee put down the few meager bits of tech she'd managed to salvage, then shifted to help anyone who needed it in sorting things into piles. First aid here, canteens there...

Saya was not the most astute of hunters. So even though Robert was being glaringly obvious, Saya assumed he was standing there to .. be a mannequin. Or something. Her brain wasn't looking past multiplication, division and addition at this point when it came to sorting. But she was not used to male proximity. Even the cheesy good-natured ones, although she was growing to get used to them.

Nevertheless, she jumped, knowing several supplies over from their messy piles.

"Oh! Hi there ..." She paused, trying to remember his name. She didn't think she actually heard it, she just remembered seeing him around. Both hands pressed against her forehead as if it could magically bring his name forth.

".. Mister death trainee I haven't met yet?" She brought up sheepishly, listing up a random supply. "Did you need one of these? Or were you looking for someone else?" Saya didn't possibly think a trainee would be directing his attention at simply her. No reason to, after all!

Harrison pulled his coat tighter. The temperature was dropping fast. He walked close enough that Rep could lean on him, if he needed it. No casualties. Jordan would be fine, he kept thinking. He was an intermediate. Lots of friends. Someone would have protected him.

Harrison couldn't be everywhere at once. He'd heard Jerry shrieking for help early on, but he couldn't get to him. He had to trust the other Moonies would mark up. Even so, a part of it had been...really good. Fighting back to back, mowing through enemies, taking 20 down for every time one of those ******** got too close. Escort missions were one thing. Making it so a Sun could really work, that was another. And they had worked.

Now he was five-in-the-morning tired, and thirsty- his mouth felt like it was full of sand. The dropped temperature had felt good at first, but he was drenched with sweat and was starting to chill. He could have really gone for a Gatorade. And a hot meal.

B0nez needed a good cleaning too. His blades were covered with grit and bugjuice. He stood there awkwardly while Allan ordered them to unload supplies. He didn't have any supplies. Just a lot of dead bugs.

Robert's cheesy smile dropped when she answered, and his head cocked in confusion at what he was being shown. "Uh." His first response - eloquent and glorious. He shook his head, and waved his hand in front of him. "No, no, I'm not looking for nothing. Plus, I'm a Life Intermediate." He held the edge of his coat up for her to inspect. "Sorry to disappoint you, doll. But I was looking straight for you - and at you - and uhhh.. with.. " Now he was just starting to make no sense. He cut himself off and started anew.

"I'M ROBERT." He yelped out a little too loudly, holding his hand out for her to shake. "Alpha Seven. You know? Like, Phoenix?" He supposed that was going to be all he needed to say before it all made sense to her.

Or, you know, maybe not.

As they trudged back to base, things were tough. Very tough. He had to actually think about staying upright, had to think about walking onwards, fighting the urge to just surrender to what his body craved. He wanted to just stop. Stop and sit down, lie down, anything. But he knew if he did, he wouldn't be getting back up again and he'd be left behind. Instead he found himself relying more and more on leaning on Harrison as they went along, the sand slippery and draining. It stung his pride, he hated being more of a burden than he had to be, it made him angry.

Of all the ******** stupid times to be injured.

The adrenaline was long gone and even carrying Tracey was much harder than it had been, the axe slung on his back like a crucifix, dragging in the sand as he walked. It would have been easier to desummon him but he flat out refused, he was too vulnerable, all of them were. It gave him something to focus on anyway, not dropping Tracey was preferable to daydreaming about how much he would love a warm bath and his soft bed. And no sand ever ********. This place ******** sucked, one moment searing, next moment like this, the heat was vanishing into the clear sky.

Tracey was silent. Dead silent and he could feel the angel concentrating as much as he was, fighting to keep them both together.

<< Thankyou mate. >>

Allan got an apprehensive look as he suggested they split up, but at this point Rep was somewhere past worrying, it took all his concentration to keep himself upright and he didn't think he'd be much use unpacking anything, he could hardly lift his weapon. He gave Harrison a grateful pat on the back as he tottered away a few steps to just flop down to sit on the ground. Next time he came on a mission he was bringing a pack with him. With water.

He'd also be bringing a ******** jumper. The intense exertion followed by the sharp drop in temperature was making him shiver and he could hardly stop it, hugging himself in what he hoped was as discreet a manner possible. He was ******** fine, if everyone else could do it, he could too.

Rep took a seat.

Yeah. Nothing to unpack, anyhow. Harrison stole over to the blue first aid kit, and fished out two apples and an ice cube. The ice was cold, but he sucked on it anyway, pushing down the need to greedily drain a whole canteen.

He sat next to Rep, and discreetly handed him one of the apples, smile-side up. The other stayed in his pocket. B0nez first.

The ghost was ingrateful and impatient. The centipedes had been the most exciting thing all day, he felt like they were wasting their time with mobs.

Harrison tugged the pink scarf off his head, from where he'd knotted it to minimize sand-breathing. Next time they came to the Sahara, he was bringing goggles. He took the main blade out first, and concentrated on clearing it of the bug gunk.

'Straight at me?" Saya questioned, pointing dumbly to herself. His shout threw her off-guard, almost visibly shaken. She was supposed to know a Robert---

----- ALPHA SEVEN? That was the way to get Saya's attention. She promptly stood, almost tumbling forward, both hands shaking Robert's hand eagerly, despite her weary manner. "Phoenix Squad .. I didn't think I'd get to find more of us around." She grinned, clapping her hands in delight. She didn't need to ask when he woke up, it was obviously earlier, in a time she would never get to know. But she was here now and it was a relief to have someone she knew, just the fact was something she could lean back on.

"Robert, I'm Saya. Alpha Twelve. Although, I suppose you already knew that."

Had Petra told him, perhaps?

There was something about a smiley apple, even in the darkest moments, you couldn't help but be cheered up. For whatever reason, he smiled back.

He eyed it for a moment, then Harrison giving him a slow grateful look before watching him clean the blade for a bit. Only when he realised he'd zoned out did he return his attention to the apple, tucking in.

He'd never been a fan of fruit in general, but the desert really ******** made you appreciate what you had, it was juicy, it was nutrition, it was like heaven. He coughed and finally pulled his scarf down out of his face, the air chill and cold in his lungs but fresh at least.

"Ta." he stated. For watching his back, for the apple, for everything.

Deryk was glad to get out of there. He didn't spend any time to get back to the base camp to drop off the one cell phone he had found. Letting out a sigh, he wiped his brow again while looking around. Apparently there were a few who were kind of MIA.. .which didn't sound too good. Hopefully they were alright.

Once back at the tent, Molly dropped off the two sets of bandages she managed to recover, plus a canteen of water. She shuffled them into their appropriate places, and then moved off to the side to make way for other Mist trainees dropping off supplies. She reminded herself that it was better than nothing, and that if these few items could be put to use to help along at least one hunter, than that was a success in her book. She pulled down her hood since they were out of the sun now, even though it was starting to set, and looked around, shaking some sand out of her uniform.

Sun trainees had a lot of fighting to do…were they all okay…?

Unfortunately, as soon as Saya understood who he was, handshakes were out of the question. So he grinned like a fool and leaned in to grab the poor girl in a bear hug, lifting her off the ground and popping her up twice before setting her down on her feet again. "Yeah." He laughed, setting his hand behind his head in embarrassment. "I know. There's a lot of us, actually. Far as I know, almost all of us. You know Pet and uh, Maddie too, I guess. Have you met the boss yet? Or Ennea? Reine? Jerry? Jerry's around here somewhere if you haven't found him yet.."

He had to think hard about who he was missing, and when he did, a sad sort of melancholy dropped in on him. The first person he realized hadn't woken up was the Doc. And for all he knew, he'd never see that guy again.

Sad.

Jerry had learned that unfortunately, sand storms were really not good for singing in. His throat was dry, and he was limping, his coat wrapped tight around him and drenched in blood. He pulled his scarf down for a moment to cough and immediately pulled it back up again.

Most importantly... Sandstorms were terror on his glasses. The world was becoming an increasing blur, although there were shapes coming into focus up ahead as the winds died down just a bit. He limped faster, Roar balanced precariously under his arm, and nearly ran straight into Robert.

"Oh! Oh, thank goodness, I can hardly see..." He babbled weakly through his scarf. He didn't dare try to wipe his glasses clean- they were scratched to hell as it was.

He had done well, though, he felt.

The sun was setting. Just... just find more people to huddle by. Stay close, it would be fine, he would be fine. It wasn't dark yet. He was getting better, he would be fine. Even so, his free hand moved to grip the Torch in his pocket.

Jude was more or less the meandering type as he followed along still not saying much and staying locked within himself for the time being. He put his find of one cell phone and one fear scanner down and then moved to rest.

Most of his face stayed hidden behind as much of the cowl as he could hide himself behind. It seems it was brooding hour.

At least until he had something else he needed to do.
