Alyss took another glance around the route, only seeing more common and uncommon Pokemon around the area, groaning. "Wow it didn't take me so long to find Saera. Why is it that finding another Eevee is being difficult on me?" She asked to herself. She understood that it was rare, but the idea of getting a Ralts out of the deal was too good to pass up. She had to find an Eevee to trade off.

Things still weren't looking up. At least she wasn't constantly running into Zigzagoon's, but they weren't what she was looking for. Though out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that a wild Ralts had shown up around her. Oh my! I could get myself one without trading an Eevee. Uh...yeah I'll give it a shot. She thought, tossing a Poke ball at the Ralts. When it noticed the presence of a ball coming at her, she teleported away. Sighing, Alyss wandered over to the Poke ball and picked it back up.

Surely there would be an Eevee somewhere on the Route. Maybe it was hiding from her! She looked high and low for the Eevee before Trouble decided to peck her head. "Ow! That hurt!" She called out, looking up at him. She was starting to think he just didn't like her, but looked in the direction of his wing. Another Ralts was around! She looked at the Poke ball she had on her and decided to let it be. Someone else could find it, since she had to catch an Eevee with that Poke ball.

Heading back to Blyse to heal up his pokemon and get his fossil revived, Gage was rather subdued for a guy that had just found a Helix. Hands in his pockets, Houndoom walking at his side, he was thinking about nothing in particular. But speaking of Eevee evolutions, he also wanted to see if he could check up on Alyss, betting she was still after that Eevee. It wasn't as easy as it first seemed, did it? Walking past several pokemon, Gage noticed a Shinx stalking something up ahead, so intent on its target that it didn't even notice the trainer with his pony-sized Houndoom coming up from behind. The Shinx pounced into the grass, and when he came back out, the Pidgey flapping in vain, Gage nearly punched the Shinx in the face. It had caught a yellow Pidgey in its fangs. "Doomy, quick, knock that Shinx out!" Just in time, Gage threw a pokeball while Houndoom distracted the Flash cub, running it off from its rightful prey. Gage grinned to himself. A golden Pidgeot was going to certainly to turn heads, and he picked up the newly filled capsule. "Good job, pup. Let's keep on going." Having stopped by Blyse City and picked up some more pokemon, Gage changed out his normal, boring old Yamask for the shiny one he had swindled. Stupid kid that Nolan Grey way, giving away so many pokemon, but Gage wasn't even sure what he was going to do with most of them. Maybe he could really find some rookie trainers interested in trading for something more interesting than birds, rats, and commons. No skin off his back, and his popularity would start to increase. Grinning to himself, Gage was attracting the attention of Doom, the huge wolf looking up at his trainer, but neither saying anything, they continued on. First things first now that his pokemon were all healed up and ready for more, he'd check up on Alyss and look for any other rookies to take advantage of. So far no sign of an Eevee. There were a couple Ralts that had shown up, but for the most part it seemed the Pokemon around her had been uncommon or just common. "Man, that must have been sheer luck that I found one early on." She said to herself softly. She turned around and noticed that Gage was nearby. She also noticed a Ralts right by his side. She started to move towards him and the Ralts ended up fleeing from her. "That figures..." She muttered softly. "Finding another Eevee is just being ridiculous." She said to Gage. "Tell me about it, kid. I'm starting to think they might have all moved on, or the only ones out here have already been captured by rookies. Hey, it could happen. If a breeding population is reduced to zilch, we'll have no more wild Eevee." Gage let out a noisy sigh, and speaking of hunting for Eevee, Doom had his nose to the ground, snorting and snuffling, trying to find a trail. The hound was criss-crossing the path, and after a few more seconds of this, whined and pawed at his nose. He couldn't find anything either except the scents of Shinx, Abra, and Spearow - nothing which Gage was looking for. "Well, just tell me when you give up, but I tell you Ralts aren't so easy to catch either. Still good training for your pokemon, right? It's good to keep active and spend some time with your pokes." She looked over to him, shaking her head a little. "I don't think I'm gonna give up just yet. I've only been searching for so long. But sometime within the next few hours I think will be when I call it quits. If I end up finding another Ralts, I think I'd go after that." She said, going back on how she ran into a couple on the way. "Those little buggers just like to run." From the corner of her eyes she noticed a Poochyena chasing a pack of Pidgey. She sighed once more. Seemed like there were just those around here. Gage was deep in thought after what Alyss said, and he rubbed his chin, scratching a couple day's worth of stubble. He sure had been roughing it lately on his search for rare pokemon. Gage could probably stand to take a bath too, but that wasn't what he was thinking about right then. "I tell you what, kid. We'll give it one last good go to search for an Eevee, and if we can't find one in a few hours, I'll just let you have my Ralts on good faith. You can just repay me some other time if you find something nice. How about that? I need to get back to the ruins again to stock up on more pokeballs, so I can't just be poking around here for days." Back to searching, still all Houndoom could find were the trails of Shinx. Those cats were everywhere, and irritated, Doom looked back over at Gage with a deep growl, requesting that they move on in the hunt. Did she just hear him right? If they didn't find one, he'd just give the Ralts to her? Well that made her conflicted on the inside, but she didn't let it show on her face. "All right. Lets do our best to look for one!" She said happily. She knew there would be a chance to repay him later if one came up. Plus she also needed to do some work on getting to her gym challenge. She looked down to Tigres, who seemed to have gotten distracted by that Pidgey flock. He started to chase after them. "Ah wait!" She called out, chasing after him. Noticing her hesitation, Gage just laughed and gave Alyss a good-natured pat on the back. "I'm very serious. You seem like the type I can trust, and I bet one day you'll remember how nice I'm being and really do something great for me in return. Besides, since I ran into this generous kid, I've had more pokemon than I know what to do with. So I'm in a very good mood." He just barely got to say what he had to say before Alyss went dashing off after her Shinx. Gage chuckled, shaking his head slowly, but true to his word, he was going back on the Eevee hunt. Doom, satisfied that they were moving again, took the lead, using that amazing nose of his with Oder Slueth to try to catch a wiff of the prey. When she caught up with Tigres, he looked up to her with happiness. He was having so much fun chasing the Pidgey flock that he didn't care about what the other goal was. "Come on Tigres, we are supposed to be looking for an Eevee." She said. He tilted his head a little then softened up, moving over to her side. She smiled and looked back over to Gage, wondering about where he had gotten the Houndoom. Did he always have that? She wondered to herself. She started to walk back over to him, and she was lucky that a Pidgey flock shot off his way, so Tigres started to chase after them. (( Nah, I'm just rolling three pokemon at a time. Sorry, I should have put something about it. I'm rolling for rarity, coloration, and ability in that order, so that was just a shiny pokemon. )) Gage passed a shiny orange Zigzagoon, his fingers itching to throw a pokeball at it, but Houndoom seemed to be on the trail of something. Leaving it behind, they kept searching, disturbing a small flock of Spearow that Doom had sniffed out earlier. The irate birds swooped down on Gage's head, but after a deep gurgling growl from Doom they found somewhere else to be. Honestly, Gage was getting tired of all this searching. How long now had he been looking for an Eevee with no luck? If he knew that Chael had two, he certainly would be red in the face right now with jealousy. Thankfully, he was still in the dark about that one. Hands in his pockets, Gage really wasn't taking this hunt that seriously, letting his huge Houndoom do all the work. (( Rarity, coloration, ability x3 )) Tons of bird pokemon were starting to be riled up by their search. There were at least a dozen of Pidgey, Spearow, and now a few Pidove in the sky, all flying and making a huge racket. Gage tsk-tsked at them for getting so excitable over just a couple of predators, probably scaring away all the Eevee, but what good would that do? Gage kept following his Houndoom. She paused as she watched Gage walk by a shiny Zigzagoon, but thought against touching it as well. Sure it was something different to her, but she already had one in her box. "Maybe I should bring him out of the box." She whispered to herself. She decided to just continue walking and think about that later. Of course on the way she saw yet another Ralts with some Pidgeys flocking around her. Tigres scared them all away when he started to charge some electricity around him. "Huh? Oh you learned a new move!" She called out. "Except this one can't do damage to others alone." She finished with a sigh.
