Mitsu continued to tend to the wound, the panic she had been feeling forced into submission for the time being. There would be plenty of time for that back at her dorm where it was safe. For now she had to hold it in and...

Her heart skipped a beat when Shun mentioned a swift death would solve all their problems. And somehow...she knew that's what he had planned all along. She knew the risks of letting the Hunter go but ....wouldn't killing him make them no better than the hunters? And killing humans was forbidden, though in this case she was certain that little rule might be waned. She wasn't sure how she felt on the matter. The lycan was so angry about what the hunter had done that she was certain at this moment if Shun went for the kill...she wouldn't stop him. What was she becoming?

She only snapped out of it when Jericho piped up, her eyes growing wide. "Calm down.." Mitsu said in the calmest voice she could muster. There was no need for all of that. The dragon was out of his mind.

Christof grunted, keeping his grip on the human tight, but at least resorted to shaking him to try to wake him instead of physical blows. Question him. Right. Right. He was ok with that. While he couldn't ask questions himself, he could aid in getting answers. His mismatched eyes locked on the slack face with it's even, fresh features. So much like a Reaper. But wasn't. Didn't smell right. Didn't look right. Too much life in it's cheeks.

But there was plenty they could do without killing him, and already the hunchback was considering plans of action. He wished he had come more prepared. He knew where the plan would eventually go, a few small tools ready and aching to be picked up from his bag but no. Wait until he was told. He would be a good boy.

That didn't mean he couldn't already eye the Hunter up for measurements. Miss Hel had lost her wings. Mr. Shun had lost an eye. It was only fair they took payment in flesh, right?

If this one lived, he would certainly remember them.

With a fresh grunt, the Igor dropped the bundle of human again to the ground with a thud, hoping maybe that would help stirr him. Maybe he was playing dead. He crouched down beside him, content to poke, or at least measure the limbs through Lizzy's silk. He could do with a new set of legs, his own were tottery. His arms were getting worn out as well, too, and the human had two lovely, nice fresh ones...

Mot was thankful the others took care of the hunter, and Christof for stitching up Hel, Mitsu and Xiu for helping Shun. The grim reaper was unable to tear his eyes from his ghoul. What mess she had been brought down to.

Mot hovered by her, afraid to touch her. He didn't want to cause her any more pain. He would carry her out if need be. He didn't want anyone else to do it. She was his.

The reaper, stared down at her, petting her hair gently.

His poor ghoul.

Bloodbloodbloodbloodblood.

Shehk forced herself to look from the human and the blood that mocked her nose to Jericho with a frown, then looked away from him - disappointed. "I refuse to sink down to their level at this time." she said simply on the note of killing the human. It seemed many of the others had a similar opinion as she did, tugging her sleeve back down around her arm once she had gotten the bleeding she'd inflicted upon herself mostly stopped.

She needed to practice with that. She needed to work on it. It wasn't accurate enough for the risk she put on herself for it and this had been a horrible time to put it into practice. Never the less, the Pricolici had to physically tear herself away from the human, stalking as far away from it as she could, rubbing her nose.

He smelled delicious.

She didn't want him to smell delicious.

But never the less, he smelled delicious. Shehk pulled her jacket up over her nose to try and buffer it.

"I think we should have our interrogation prepared before we wake up the human, however."

Shehk could think of a few she wanted an answer to, her jaw set. She looked to Jericho, and then to the piece of bone she wore around her wrist. She needed answers.

----

Invictus somehow found it difficult to not just outright kill the human. They could get another one, but it seemed that for the time being they needed to work on the countermeasure of information gain.

Never the less, he went to linger near where the groups checking on Shun and Hel were gathering - having a vested interest in both individuals, and thus having a need to see what they were up to at that moment - how they were faring, even.

It was a mess.

Was it a mess beyond that Cricket would be able to repair?

It happened so quickly, and then it was over; Hel, poor Hel...! Christof had taken care of her way before she could have even gotten over there, and that left her focusing on the Hunter. The Hunter...that was being protected? Amrita's eyes narrowed, darting between those who argued for the Hunter's life. They...they wanted to keep it alive?!

Leaders or not, the Hunters hurt - and killed - her kind. Tore them to pieces. Weaponized them. Why were they showing mercy? If they showed mercy, this made them weak, didn't it? Her eyes narrowed, her backwards hands balling up into fists at her side. Hadn't they suffered enough? It was enough to make her sick, really.

The thought made her fume, but she tried to distract herself from it; they probably had a good reason after all!

Gray eyes lowered to the ground, staring at her heels until she recognized that there was a head suspiciously close to her feet. Huh...when did that happen? She picked it up, looking at the disembodied part as though it were familiar...but all it did was spark something else in her; that anger she was trying to bury. The feeling welled up so quickly she couldn't stop it and before she knew it she was speaking out loud.

"I...I don't understand why you want to let it live." She said honestly, though the anger at the mercy they wanted to show was evident in her voice. A mercy that was never - and never will be - bestowed upon them. It didn't seem right to not take this opportunity! "When do we get to make them suffer for once?!"

At Mitsu's request, Xiu crouched down by the ghoul, grabbing the edge of her dress and tearing off long strips. Would these, coupled with Mitsu's makeshift bandages, be enough to stop the bleeding for some time, she wondered? They had to try, at least.

Feeling extremely thankful for having taken and passed the first aid class, the baku worked at helping her friend tend to the wound, lips pressing into a thin line as she attempted to stop the bleeding. Despite his reassurances that he was fine (or at least, that he would live), Xiu was desperate to get both Shun and Hel to Nurse Cricket as soon as possible. But before they could do so...

Her gaze flickered towards the Hunter and she frowned. What...what were they supposed to do with him? Questioning him was an obvious choice, but...but there were also others calling for his death. Now that Xiu wasn't as caught up in the moment and had a little time to think, she realized just how complicated this situation really was. While killing him would only prove to be more "evidence" for the Hunters to come after them, it wasn't as if they could simply let him go either. Not after what he did, and not after considering what he could do.

So for now, Xiu was silent on the matter.

Christof had his own opinion on what should be done. Wary to undo Lizzy's web completely, he had at least shimmied one of the hunter's arms around, shuffling in his crouch beside the limp body until they were shoulder to shoulder, measuring length to the hand... hrm. Not quite as thick as his old, but perhaps instead of his second right arm... it certainly matched in length better. Plus they were good, dexterous fingers, he could tell by their shape and thinness. Would be good for the fiddlier wiring jobs with Master Barth...

He hoped they all made their decision soon, he was getting antsy.

If Chrsitof's manhandling wasn't going to wake the Hunter, Calder wondered what would? However, he DID live with one of the laziest demons around, and taxed with the task of waking a sloth demon up for anything, Calder knew of a few ways.

Walking over, he passed Amrita. "We didn't go through all the trouble of fighting him down if we are going to kill him right off." Later though. "I do think we should make an example of him for what they all did to Red." He was taking off his shirt, undoing the buttons and pulling it off. It was drenched from all the water and the steam had only preserved the moisture.

Twisting it up, Calder held it over the boil's head. "Christof, if you could hold him? If he wakes up, he might find some way to get free. That pendant is safe away, right?" He then twisted the shirt, sending water pouring over the hunter's head. Hopefully that would wake him and didn't require further tormenting. At least not right yet. He hoped they had a list of what they wanted to ask and in order.

Bul heard the ghoul who'd been trapped with him and Jericho speak up, lowering his eyes to her and sighing. ""Letting it live and killing it are just as bad as one another really," Bul replied. Obviously he had no diplomatic solution to provide, so he wasn't going to defend the human should the majority choose to kill it. Only for now did he know that killing was a terrible option out of many.

"The leaders of the hunters grow stronger any time we face the humans. Letting him go would obviously contribute to that. Killing him would also contribute to that and perhaps make things a lot worse if higher ups hear about it. You see what I'm saying?" he said weakly. He really wasn't winning this argument.

Calder then proceeded to dump water on its head and Bul wasn't sure whether to laugh or not. He lifted a hand to stifle whatever it was.

Jericho looked sharply towards Shehk as she was one to speak out strongly against killing the hunter.

"He should not be allowed to walk away from this. They have caused much suffering and sorrow for us and if they are left alive, they will only continue to do so. All hunters. Must. Die. You've agreed to this yourself, Shehk," he growled while staring down at the wrapped up human. Quite frankly, he wouldn't mind getting a meal out of this himself.

He did always wonder what humans tasted like.

----

As the two girls worked on treating his wound, Shun gritted his teeth and clenched his fists while trying to ride out the pain. He wasn't able to contribute too much to the debate at the moment until it ebbed away a bit. Even then, he had to take a few moments to breathe before he could really speak.

"... Drawing it out for him.. is not necessary. However... once we get the information, if he speaks at all.. he needs to die. The higher ups won't be happy to find him dead, but if left alive, he could always spin things in his favor... make things turn out far worse than what we do. We could not touch him once during interrogation but he could make it seem like we beat him down and coerced him..." he managed to say before shifting a bit and gritting his teeth a little more. Personally he wanted to slit the hunter's throat. Moreso for what he did to Hel than what was done to himself.

If given the chance, he'd do it.

The two ghouls had done what they could. Mitsu had put a fair amount of padding down to apply pressure and Xiu had helped to secure a makeshift bandage. It wasn't the prettiest of things but it would have to do until they got Shun back.

"Y...you really need to get back Shun and have your eye looked at. If you wait too long the...the damage could be irreparable. And Hel..." Mitsu looked back over her shoulder at the ghoul still curled up on the ground trying to deal with the pain. They needed to get them both back as soon as possible.

"C..can we just take the Hunter back? So we can get the injured to the nurse." They could decide what to do with him then couldn't they? Surely they would have more than enough time to wait for him to come around and question him.

Blue fire flared to life in the skull Amrita picked up, burning from the sockets. They seemed to take in the sight of blood an feathers impassively, as they had when he'd seen a split second of the hunter's attack. But Aymet's voice was more passionate, chiming in with the vetala.

"Any one of you in this place could have been that ghoul. Maybe more than one."
The undead's voice shook with barely-contained emotion, a confusion that us-versus-them wasn't a clear-cut line but to a few of them. How many of them had taken part in the trials, how many had seen the pale, empty husk of Amityville that seemed to be its inevitable future? Aymet had fought plenty of imaginary wars across game boards. The transition to a real one was, to him, a simple leap to higher stakes. Maybe it was because the dead had little in common with a flesh and blood creature, or maybe the dracolich was just a lot more vicious when the naivete had been stripped from his bones. He was certainly as passionate about this as anything he was ever invested in.

"You'd still spare this thing if the one who was ripped apart was your ghoulfriend or boilfriend, or your best friend, or yourself? Their life, her life -"
it didn't exactly require a gesture in Hel's direction to indicate, which was good because he was only a skull - "isn't worth as much as that of a human who wants to dissipate us all for good?"

"Jericho and Amrita are right. I say kill it when, it has nothing left to offer us. They underestimated us. I don't think they're even afraid of us. What are we, if we're not scary? Kill him and we send a message that we're terrifying."
He paused. "If you want to let it live, you can reap the benefits of your mercy when they come for you anyway. We can't be the first to have tried."

The fiery eyes in the skul rolled up toward the vetala. A clawed hand rested on her shoulder, attached to most of a headless dracolich that had picked his way through the crowd and the fish and the charred plants. "Thanks, Amrita, I was looking everywhere for that."

It was good to hear that others were thinking along the same lines. Shun couldn't help but feel that some of the ones wanting to let the Hunter live once they finished interrogation were being a bit naive. The hunter would want retribution. He was sure of it. That and he didn't deserve any mercy.

Though, his line of thought switched over towards Mitsu as she mentioned getting him and Hel to the nurse.

"I'm not going anywhere yet. I'm seeing this through," he frowned darkly. He agreed that the Valkyrie needed to be brought to Cricket as soon as possible. But as for himself... he did not want to leave. Not yet.

Amrita stared at Calder as he wandered by, the anger in her eyes deflating for only a moment.

"W-well yeah, but I mean...after we talk to it." The ghoul frowned and fidgeted, frustrated beyond belief and only barely able to contain it. Her attention then turned to Bul, trying to process what he was saying; if it died they'd get stronger in retaliation. If it lived, they'd be stronger since they'd know what the Hunter had told them today. She pondered over this rock-and-hard-place they were in, her lips so pursed they made a thin, sometimes thoughtfully wriggling line.

That was when the head in her hands seemed to come to life, and she held it out for people to see clearer; especially to see that it was definitely not her...especially for those who knew what she could do with a corpse and their vocal cords.

"Either way, they're going to get stronger, and they're going to come after us." The Vetala submitted hesitantly, agreeing to that part at least. "But we're getting stronger too, and I think we should take what we can...starting with that one's life." There was a near-growl to her voice as she pointed at the unconscious Hunter.

Jericho and Shun had also chimed in, and suddenly she was starting to feel better about speaking up; none of this letting-it-live bullshit! There were four of them for 'death' now, and they hadn't won yet but it was nice to hear that others agreed, even though they had suggested it before she did.

"You're welcome, Aymet." She murmured, offering a sheepish smile before turning to offer his head back to him. "And...Thank you." For agreeing with her, and speaking up too. Then, Mitsu gave something that made her pause.

"Sure, take him back to Halloween...but make sure you're done talking to him here..." She kept why to herself, though...

"B..But." The panic she had been suppressing was starting to well up again, the hysteria reflecting in her eyes. "S-Shun you need to get back as much as Hel does. You've done you're job there is no need to stay."

The lycan really hoped it wouldn't come down to her having to knock Shun out and drag him to the nurse. It wasn't the safest thing to do to an injured person but she would if she had to.

At this point she could care less what happened to the hunter. Let it live, let it die. Those concerns were not on her mind. "Please...." Mitsu whispered softly. "You need to be treated by someone who can perform a fear healing...I c...I can't do it." It hurt to admit she couldn't help, that it was well outside her power to do so.
