Quote: 21-40: You smell something putrid, a ripe, sharp smell, but moving your flashlight down the area yields only an endless darkness further beyond. You try to search for a tablet, but see nothing. Saya kneeled down in a small distance ahead, her flashlight turning and twisting as she tried to stare into off crevices for a tablet. One crevice had a rather .. odd.. small that had her recoiling back a little bit.
... She wasn't sure she wanted to know the source of that smell.

Rin took a step in her search and noticed the ground felt uneven under her feet. Feeling around with the toe of her shoe she frowned. It wasn't a weapons tablet.

Rep was completely set on edge as they moved on into the darkness, not a fan of the dark at the best of times, even less of a fan when he had a damn good idea what he was looking at in the procession of images, the 666 giving it away, he might not have been religious in the least, but he went to a catholic school. Revelations was about the only interesting bit. Though right about now he was wishing he hadn't heard /any/ of it.
And then they were heading into a pitch black abyss. Why the ******** not, right? He was trying very hard to think of ANYTHING that wasn't the dark. ANYTHING.
Oh and wading. Yeah wading in water where he couldn't see the bottom. Couldn't tell if one step would have him up to his neck in icy cold muddy water of death.
He was freaking the ******** out and the only thing that was stopping him from trying to leave was the fact that he knew if he did he'd have to go back there, into the dark /alone/ and that was somehow worse than being here in this place with more eyes and more flashlights.
And more chance someone else would be eaten first.
As he wandered around he carefully traced the floor, too leery to actually look for the tablet properly, puzzled by the unusual craters.
Quote: 81-100: You notice that there are certain parts where the ground is more uneven than others. Upon tracing the uneven areas with your foot, as it is too dark for the flashlight to even see, you notice the form odd, semi-circular craters. However, this does not really help you find a weapons tablet.

He hated this. He really hated this.
The clicking noises unnerved him, but since the cave did not smell of that putrid, nauseating, decay that reminded him of the Incident, it was not quite as horrifying as it could have been.
Yet.
And it was not as if the disappearance of Caelius, nor the fact that Sandy seemed very uneasy made this any better.
Following along behind the rest of the trainees, Gale remained silent and stoic, his lips pressed together in a thin line, his gloved fingers subconsciously clenching and unclenching around the barrel of the rifle. He swung it up, holding it with one hand on the trigger, his other hand tugging at the FEAR scanner he had strapped to his waist. Eyeing the water warily, Gale gave a small sigh, squared his shoulders, and stepped in.
It was freezing.
Peering through the dim, dirty water, his gaze traced the lines of something light, something white. Gale dipped his hand down, pulling it out with a frown, but to his disgust - and slight horror - it was not a weapons tablet at all.
He knew what that was.
His fingers were trembling as they dropped it back down instantly, taking several sloshing steps backwards. Nausea rose in his throat, thick and heavy, and it was all he could do to not heave out the contents of his stomach right then and there.
Jinhai.
<< I know. Breathe. Slow and steady. >>
It wouldn't do much, but it would hopefully at least keep his stomach settled. Gale closed his eyes briefly, inhaling and trying very hard not to breathe in where he was.
Slow but steady.
He moved on.

Cass turned her FEAR sensor to 'on', just to be safe.
Still, she didn't really like the illustration on the wall. Cass shone her flashlight up at it as they walked past it, getting a good look at the drawing, if only to try and note what the design was. It was ominous, if nothing else. She could tell what it meant clearly enough - the end of the world where the Horsemen desired to win everything. She wouldn't have that. Even if the three sixes stood out to her - the Number of the Beast in the bible.
First step: Become immune to excruciating pain and possibly being smashed into oblivion. Maybe she could ask Caelius about that second one. He was good at smashing things, or so she thought. Work hard, get strong. She'd make that damn Horseman regret that she hadn't been killed by him.
She'd make them all regret messing with humans.
Heading down the stairs was a dizzying process, and Cass made a point to not look toward where it was they were heading, just making sure to stay within arm's reach of Marcus as they descended, lower and lower. She should have been more afraid than she was - it almost felt like the growing bravery as they traversed deeper was a panic-reaction of some sort. Instead of being afraid she was getting braver to the point of possible stupidity if something were to happen.
The murky water simply got an annoyed face, but it looked like Sandy knew why they were there and she soon shared - Tablets.
Like what I was, Cassandra. Nicodemus clarified, and Cass's lips grew tighter. << But why would there be...... Oh my god.>> Cass seemed to realize why the Horseman's lair had the tablets of weapons in it. She knew exactly why.
<>
Just remain calm, Cassandra and reclaim what you can find.
<>
Something in the water got her attention as she shone her flashlight over it, but when she fished it out, it broke apart in her hand, causing her to make the mother bothered face yet.

Just...what was that smell? Eva's hand flew over her mouth and nose as she tried to block it out as best as she could, shooting a look over to where Before had gone off to search.
"No tablet here! Having any luck where you are?" She took a few steps back in an attempt to distance herself from wherever that smell was coming from, lips twisting into a slight grimace. There were a number of things that she imagined could make such a terrible smell...
...But she really didn't want to think about it.

Sydney sludged forward, feeling the cold through her waterproof boots. She really hoped they were as waterproofed as they'd been sold to be, she thought--
She jerked, swearing she heard that creepy clicking noise again, and searched the area around her with the flashlight. No one else seemed to be hearing it, she thought as she glanced at the other hunters. It was probably all in her imagination.

Rin continued on when she started to hear the clicking sound again and paused in her tracks. Turning the flashlight around in efforts to locate it... but saw nothing with a frown.
"I really really don't like this." She spoke softly to no one in particular.

Click...click.....
Cass paused to try and find the source of that noise again, shining her Flashlight over the room, frowning as she looked up the walls and the like, before she turned away to look at the other hunters around.
Wasn't them either.

Quote: 41 - 60: You nearly trip over something, what seems to be a dislodged piece of stone. Upon moving your flashlight over it, you realize it is a weapons tablet. ... You have found ONE WEAPON TABLET!
Saya was hanging around Justin too much. The pokemon soundtrack played in her head. To be honest, she had tripped first, stumbling, her knees stopping her fall to the ground. When she stood up, her foot brushed against something. She leaned down to pick it up, her flashlight shining over it.
Was that ..
Thankfully, it was dislodged. And not a skull. Because a scream would have rang through the echoing cave. Saya fit it into her tool bag on the side, although it made for a very lumpy and uncomfortable storage.

Even as Eva tried to back away from wherever that smell was coming from, she found that it was still assaulting her sense of smell quite violently. She certainly had no intention of making her way through the darkness up ahead--not yet, at least.
Time to keep looking.

Sydney was so busy searching that she stumbled slightly as her boot caught on something. She pointed her flashlight down, staring hard for a moment before realizing what it was. A bit reluctantly she reached into the water (mentally noting that she should bring rubber gloves next time) and pulled out a weapons tablet.
She had found one. She would try to find another, because the sooner they got them, the sooner they could leave, right?

He was finding more of them - more of the brittle, yellowed objects, and each one that he picked up, Gale dropped back down without a word. His mind kept repeating one mantra, over and over inside of his head, a constant, throbbing reminder.
Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Don't think about it.
This was work. This was what being a Hunter meant.
Silently, his face pale, Gale kept searching.

Cass picked up another something from the water, turning it over in her hand and getting one reasonable look at it before it shattered away as well, leaving a pasty residue on the palm of her glove. Horror came over her face and she suddenly moved to find Marcus.
"Marcus? Marcus! Oh my god, Marcus..Marcusmarcusmarcus....."
She wasn't quiet in the least about her sudden onslaught of 'Oh god, oh god' that was happening, so it would not be a surprise if anybody else nearby suddenly heard the Mist Hunter suddenly babbling to the Moon Hunter;
"Marcus, we're wading around in a Hunter Graveyard."

And when Eva wasn't smelling mysterious things, she was hearing them.
The clicking noise made her perk up, and she immediately scanned her immediate surroundings in an attempt to determine where the noise was coming from. Unfortunately, she was having some difficulty in detecting its source...and difficulty in detecting any sort of tablet. With a frown, she took a few steps back.
She didn't realize that she was backing into Otto until she actually did so. With a little jumped, she whirled around to face the boy, eyes wide. "Puppy! Wha--ah."
It was dark in here, wasn't it? Dark, and kind of claustrophobic, and just..."How are you holding up?" She had lowered her voice to a whisper for this.
