Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid Junior"Um... I think I'll save my appetite for the cook out." Knowing Franny might not stop bugging him about it, it looked like Luis had no choice "I never said I wouldn't stay... Fine, one hour. I'll stay for one hour. If my friend does come, I'll try to stay longer." he hoped Juliana would come. It's not fun if you didn't have the people you care about. "Romero, do we have any extra beef? Some thick flank steaks would be nice. I want to make churrasco. Also, where do you keep the clilantro, onions, and olive oil?" He hoped Esperanza would forgive him for not pampering her.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: go right ahead xD) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

"Sí, we probably do. Everything ought to be in the refrigerator." Romero gave his brother an amused grin. "Why are you asking me? You've had the dorm longer this year." The Venezuelan gave an exasperated snort when both Franny and Luis turned down his offer. It seemed no one wanted to try his food. Admittedly, he couldn't fault their logic. He needed to save his stomach for the big event, too. "Hmph. Suit yourself," he said, playing the injured cook. He picked up another hallaca before setting the plate down on an isolated corner of the stove to keep it warm. (Phone)

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid Junior"Not that long... Jeez...." Argen went over to the fridge and opened it up, taking out the contents he needed to make some chimichuri sauce needed to put on the churrasco "Oye, hermano, we should make some tamales as well. I know they're normally made by our siblings up in the Northern hemisphere, but they're so delicious." It was commonly eaten by the poor folk, but they were so good. Each Spanish country have their own way of making tamales. Mexican made them spicy, Cuban tamales contained small chunks of meat, Nicaraguans add bits of banana in them to make them a little sweet, etc. "Ooh... So much to do.... But, can we please not have alcohol? I'm sure we can still have fun without it..." he can't handle alcohol, even the smell got him woozy.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

Franny A free spirt that stays with Conneticut for some reason... ________________________________________ Franny made her self at home and sat down on the couch. She was only here because she was bored, not to cook. She was happy that Luis was going to stay. She was not going to give up on her quest to make him more of man, and these were the first steps.

Romero paused in the midst of handing Luis the appropriate ingredients for tamales when he hard a knock on the door. His pulse unconsciously sped up in eager anticipation. At last! Someone had arrived! Who was it? The Venezuelan all but raced to the door and flung it open wide.
"Hola, Kiku!" he cheered, letting the Japanese boy in. "So glad you could make it! You brought cookery too, I assume?" he added, eyeing the bag curiously.
"Luis, Franny, this is Kiku, from Japan. He's one of the others I invited over here," Romero said, introducing ghost and brother to the fellow senior. He pointed to each person as he called their names so that Kiku could distinguish them.

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorLuis Esteban got a little nervous around their guest. He's heard that Japanese people were very serious "H-Hola, senor Kiku. I'm Luis Esteban, Romero's little brother. I'm known as the Republic of Argentina, the biggest Spanish-speaking nation in the world. N-Nice to meet you."{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

 Sr. Romero Valentín

The Venezuelan watched the other three and the door as Luis and Franny introduced themselves. It seemed that no one else was following Kiku here, so he shortly turned his attention away from the door and back to the few who had come so far. Romero hoped the others would arrive soon. An hour had already passed, and he didn’t want this cook-off to be a total fluke.
“So, Kiku, how was your day? Anything interesting happen? And what do you plan on cooking tonight?” he asked, rubbing his hands eagerly. He had thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese food he had been served while on his business trip, and looked forward to something just as appetizing. He hovered around the stove as he talked, debating whether or not to cook another dish.

❋-'-,-xxxx MY NAME MEANS "CHRYSANTHEMUM" xxxxxx本田 H O N D A x K I K U 菊 日本 | Japan President of the Anime Club⊱ the senior who senses the mood ⊰ Kiku stepped inside and smiled politely as he bowed in Luis and Franny's direction. "Hajimemashite." He couldn't figure out why Luis seemed so nervous, though...He wasn't being intimidating, was he? Or so he hoped.
Kiku could already smell the delicious aromas that wafted about the room, and glancing around he located a plateful of some kind of food that reminded him of...What were they called? Tamales. They looked slightly different from the tamales he remembered, though, especially in the way they were wrapped up. He would probably try some later - first, though, he had his own dish to make.
"It was fine, thank you," he replied to Romero's question. He decided not to divulge Feliciano and Zlata's...meeting, figuring it would be fairly awkward to bring up. "Not much, really...I brought ingredients for korroke - meat and potatoes breaded and fried." Come to think of it, he could probably make some okonomiyaki as well with the ingredients he had brought. Romero seemed to be using the stove, however, so Kiku just stood nearby, waiting his turn.Hajimemashite. Nihon desu. My hobbies are to sense the mood and refrain from speaking.

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorHaving his tiny little freak outs he gets around strangers, Argen figured he should head to the kitchen and get started "Hermano... I'm, uh... Going to start cooking." As he rushed to the room, he tripped on his own shoe laces "Ay!" Embarrassed, he quickly got up and ran to the kitchen. He felt so foolish. Falling. What a great first impression. Well, guess it's time to cook the food. He looked through the fridge to gather ingridients before turning on the stove and chopping up the cilantro and onions.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorLuis Esteban poured a little bit of olive oil into a bowl of chopped cilantro and onions, and mixed the contents together "No thank. I'm good for now. Why don't you talk to Romero and Kiku?" he grabbed the flank steaks and put them on a pan before sprinkling some salt on it. "I wish we have a griller. These things taste better grilled but a pan works."{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

It seemed that both Luis and Kiku wanted to use the small double-stove, whereas he really didn't have any reason to. Romero backed away from the burner he was currently hovering over so that Japan could use it. "Your day couldn't have been that boring, hombre!" he told Kiku. "Or was it just the same old, same old?" he added with a wink. Korroke... Romero had never heard of that before. But from the Japanese boy's description, it had to be good! He nodded full agreement at Luis' desire for a grill. "Sí, steaks always taste best grilled. But you're so good at cooking them, we don't really need it at all!" Argentina had a long history with ranching, so it made sense that Luis would cook the flanks well. If Luis happened to need a grill, there was always a chance that one of the people Romero had invited knew fire magic... It seemed Franny was bored with nothing to do. "Have you managed to find Connecticut?" he asked, in an attempt to engage her. "Didn't you say you were looking for him?" (Phone. Ugh, where are Austria, Hungary, Tennessee, and Brazil? || EDIT: Found the last two... Kinda.)

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorThe Argentinean blushed slightly and rubbed the back of his head "Aw, gracias, hemano. But something about cooking it over a fire makes meat taste good. It's kinda hard to explain." he put another thick steak on the pan "I hope you don't mind the meat being medium, it makes it a bit juicy. But if you want it well-done, I can do it." he told his brother and guest.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina
