"It was nice, I tried to bring a little bit of home with me as far as my room goes." She said with a nod. Pausing, "I'm sure yours was just as lovely." She smiled, "Though what's important I think is if you feel at home where you are." There was another diffident nod.
She chuckled, "Well if running away keeps you from ending up back in the nurse's office. I'm sure it's a good thing." The tigress seemed thoughtful, "There's times I might would've run away but I think, if I had to do it over again, I would've rather ran faster after them." There was a small almost sadistic grin, what would the hunters do if a tiger was running at them with super speed?
She was drawn from her thoughts to look blankly at the Zombie when she seemed surprised. "Well of course, not everyone has to enjoy crowds. I'm getting more use to it, I would just rather not be in them. Normally I end up more on my guard, worried something bad might happen, Do you ever feel that way?" Ice blue eyes were looking over Shine with curiosity. Surely she wasn't the only one that would swear bad stuff happens when there's large groups.
There was a soft nod, "Yes, I would be happy to show you how to swim. It's really sort of easy if you can get the gist of it."
There was a pause as the tiger thought, "Do you mind if I ask why you came to the school?"

Willow was so smart. She seemed to know exactly what to say to make things a little better for Shine, and the ghoul showed her as much with an appreciative smile. "That's...a really nice way....to think about it. This school...and all the nice other students...make me feel like...like, um, this is home." She couldn't imagine anywhere else she wanted to be, at least. As she imagined the other ghoul chasing away scary things, she couldn't help but giggle. "Maybe...we can try that next time...and then they will...will have to tell their friends...how scared they were. Scared of...us." The two of them were not particularly frightening to her, but they were creatures of FEAR, so there had to be people out there who would run screaming at the sight of them. "It...um, might be hard...to not laugh. While scaring them," she added, giggling to herself again. "I'm...well...I...around crowds...I'm not scared so much of...what might happen to me, I...just..." She shifted uneasily. "When I'm startled, it's...hard to control...um, what I do. So I don't...want to hurt someone...especially nice someones." She hoped that she wasn't the type of "bad thing" that Willow worried over. "But...thank you! For the swimming...I would like that. Lots." Her discomfort melted away as she continued. "Well...I wanted to make friends. And learn how to...to know people. What about you? Is...there something special? Something...you wanted to learn?"

Willow nodded, the school was like home, it would be hard to go back to her 'old ways' of being secluded and stuff. There was a small smile, "My mother always said if you feel comfortable where you are, then it's home."
She nodded, "It's always interesting to try and find methods of scaring others." Willow grinned cheekily, "I'm sure they'll be running to hide in their beds if that happened. We could always laugh after they've left?" It was an amusing thought.
There was a pause as she thought, "Oh posh, silly stuff like that happens all the time. I got drowned once 'cause Eris set off the sprinklers. And actually my tail fluffs when I've been startled." It seemed it wasn't someone going on a rampage that scared her.
"You're welcome," Willow looked around, oh she hadn't brought a pen, "You can find me in the ghost dorms whenever you're ready for that lesson."
The tigress listened to the other ghoul as she explained why she came to the school, "That's a good reason." She nodded, "Me? Uh, well ... I came to learn about other species. That and the pets are very interesting. Where I'm from we're not very diverse, and pets are rare to come by since sometimes it's eat or be eaten."
She paused, "Speaking of pets, do you have a favorite one?"

Another soft giggle bubbled up from the zombie, who was beginning to look like she was really enjoying herself. "Your tail? That's...funny. I wish...I wish that was all that happened...um, when I got scared. Though...I guess it's not too fun...for you." Shine immediately regretted not bringing anything to write with, but thought that she could find her well enough. "I...can't wait. I'm in the...very bottom floor...of the undead dorms. If you need me...for...um...any reason." She couldn't think of a reason, but maybe there would be one. Eventually. "I do...like the pets. They're nice...and good for company. That's...um, a good reason. I can't imagine...eating them...because they all...they seem so nice." The ones she'd encountered had, at least. There were stories of less friendly pets. She was okay with never running into those. "If I had to pick...I think it would be...Bandages." Satisfied with that answer, she waited for a moment before realizing that Willow would have no idea who that was. "Oh, um...sorry. She's a Wishing Helper. She helps when...well, if I get hurt...and if I'm sad." Bandages was a lot like a minipet version of Rain, now that she thought about it. That would explain why she liked her so much. "Do you have...a favorite...um, class? Maybe...is it a minipet class?" It would make sense for that to be her favorite, but she didn't want to make an incorrect assumption.

Amarus did not smile back, because to her it looked more like a grimace than a smile in the first place. Was he in pain? She stared at him with her mirror-silver eyes and didn't blink. Finally, she took a deep breath, leaned forward and folded her hands in front of her on the table. She had never met him before, so she didn't know that he was usually more well-groomed, or however that might be said.
"Yes, that's my name." Silently, she was grateful he hadn't called her Am like others seemed to keen to do this event. She hadn't known she could dislike a nickname more than the ones she already had. "So you are Deacon, of course?"
Amarus leaned back in her chair. "Well, I guess this event is a good place to get to know new students. How long have you been at Amityville?" She, herself, hadn't gotten out much until recently.

Seating herself down at the rather posh looking tables (good job student council), the ghoul took a moment to make herself comfortable. Was she supposed to be feeling a little nervous? .... There really wasn't any reason to be. Besides ....
Happily, the frost demon settled for filling the rather empty vase on the table with a few stalks of ice flowers. Really now, Edel was making it seem more and more like a proper date than what it should be. But hey, the least she could do was make it pleasant for someone else!

Once she was assigned her student to meet, Evelyne-Aglaya made her way carefully through the room in search of said ghoul. She'd met her before, except in a different gender... the Grand Bois had no opinion of the frost demon from that brief meeting. They hadn't spoke that much! But it would be nice to talk to someone and breed the possibility of friendship!
Finally spotting the pale figure, she gracefully strolled on over, moth swarm in tow, and took to her seat, "Good evening, Edel? I believe it was?" she asked upon pulling back the chair and seating herself.

The frost demon didn't have to wait too long until Ev showed up, recognising her immediately with the swarm of moths in tow. Ah yes, she did look much better as a ghoul .... was her opinion.
“Yes, good evening Ev, it's a pleasure to meet you again,” she greeted, nodding and smiling at the Grand Bois. Now the last time they met ... it wasn't too fortunate – the gender mix up on top of the clash with the hunters. “I hope you've been well,” she continued with that thought in mind, then pausing again to think of what to say.
“Please pardon me for asking, but could it be that you are rather new to the school?” By then, the frost demon had already been at Amityville for quite some time and recognised a good few faces despite not being the extremely social type. On hindsight, that had been a terrible question to ask, and the frost demon took a quick glance at the sample questions on the card before turning her attention back to the other ghoul. And then she smiled sheepishly.
Oh gosh this wasn't going well.

Oh Danny watched Edel go and sit down with her moth friend. She watched it long and hard. Stupid Edel. STUPID EDEL. WHY MUST YOU RUIN ALL THE HOLIDAYS. However, this was a time for lovey dovey feelings, and the wonderful scarentines effect was leaving her feeling generous, so she let Edel enjoy her time.
For now.
At the moment, she sat herself down at TABLE NINE, the table she'd been at earlier. Apparently her partner was "Willow," but Danny had no idea who that was. Then again, she hadn't known who Shine was either, and the ghoul had all but bowed down and praised her for her awesome.
So it could be a good experience. As long as Edel didn't make a U turn for her table, she was okay. Also, Danny wanted to inform Edel's rper that she should get on AIM. But that was a joke because Danny doesn't know what an rper or AIM is.

Sensing the vibes coming over from the table where Danny, oh dear lords, was sitting, Edel turned around to break the fourth wall and convey the message.
And so her rper logged on to AIM. Funny how things worked like that.

Comfortably seated, Ev also took the moment to recognize the nice chairs. Reminded her instantly of home! Smiling lightly at the thought, she turned to give her attention respectfully to her pair-up, moths settling along the table, as well as the chair. Some fluttered to Edel to perch on her too, inspecting in their dainty way.
"Ah yes, I've been quite well, thank you! I hope the same is for you." her root formed legs relaxed a little, allowing the tendrils to not hold so tightly to one another and lax to a more natural state for the time being. They would be here awhile, after all. The first question made the demoness brighten, "That I am. I've not been here that long at all. Just arrived a little over a month or two ago. Would you happen to be a veteran here, Ms. Edel?"

Apparently Willow's questions had been answered, as she found the other sitting at a table already. "Danny I presume?" She asked her tail flickering behind her, there was a cheery smile on her face, and she had in fact picked up more punch while on her quest to find the demon, one for herself and one for Danny.
"Would you like a drink?" She offered the cup towards the other, unsure if the other ghoul would take it. Though it wouldn't matter if Danny didn't accept the drink, Willow was still all smiles.

Edel leaned back reflexively as the moths fluttered towards her, but did not flinch when they landed on her, afraid to harm the delicate little things. She soon relaxed however, and continued the conversation as per normal.
“Veteran? Not quite,” she answered meekly. Veteran of war probably, she pondered, recalling the terrible incidents that she had experienced since ... “I've been here for a little over half a year, though I am now a Year two student. I'm glad you're doing well too Miss Ev.” So she was a rather new student! In that case ...
“Would you happen to have joined any clubs? The Fright Music club for instance – do you play any instruments or sing, perhaps?” Her enthusiasm might have showed when she leaned forward a little. My my aren't you proud of her Roch? And she isn't even the vice-president unlike someone else sitting over there.

Danny looked at the ghost tiger ghoul with a bit of confusion. "Yup, I'm Danny. Are you Willow?" she asked as the ghoul pulled out a pair of cups.
Oh man. She was so thirsty. Why did they only have punch here at the dance? "Err. No thanks. Kind of a flame demon," she said, wiggling her tail in the air. It sort of inhibited all liquids. She could sometimes bare soda though. It was a work in progress.
"So how're you?" she asked idly. "I mean uh ... do you like Scarentines?"
