"Quitting what?" Javor asked. "Well, come on. Bring him in." The cat boy seemed to be in very bad condition. As he waited for Sethrian to help him to one of the beds, Javor gathered up some medical supplies. The boy had a faint, but audible wheeze as he breathed. That was not a good sign at all."He's a smoker," Sethrian said as he helped Jukka to one of the beds. "I found him in the restroom barely able to breathe, and nearly ready to lose consciousness. I brought him here straight away. "Ah..." Javor gave Jukka a blatantly disapproving look. "Most unwise, and a repulsive habit," he said bluntly. "Is there other medical histories I must know?"

Jukka shook his head, "I work on my families fishing vessel.... so I picked up smoking from the crew members," He coughed as he sat down on the bed with Sethrian's help. His ears twitched a bit but remained limp for the most part. "My family doesn't have anything real severe for health issues," he answered. He winced a bit, his chest hurt horribly. But lucky for everyone else in the school Jukka had picked up the non-contagious form of pneumonia.

Hmm. This might actually be the perfect opportunity to take some samples for his and Suzanne's experiments as well. With this two, he could surely get some interesting DNA for their use. Hmmm.
((Okay, sorry it took so long to reply. I was kind of considering how to handle a disease that requires tests and treatment a school doctor normally wouldn't have available.
I hope no one minds that I'm going godmode a bit for the sake of the RP and say that Javor has a bunch of magic medical instruments that let him run tests and give treatments (like antibiotics) that otherwise he wouldn't be able to do. That way he can treat Jukka without sending Jukka away---since that would be weird.
Also, Ayameeeee. Can Javor use a sample from Jukka to create a cat-monster that will terrorize the school? emotion_awesome Not like a Jukka clone or anything. Just a humanish-cattish monster thingie. I was going to have him take a sample from Sethrian as well.))

"I started trying to quit yesterday," he replied before going into a horrible coughing fit. After a few moments he stopped and carefully removed his shirt, wincing as he did so. Due to the hard work that Jukka had been exposed to everyday back home the boy had a healthy build. But it was his smoking habit that was destroying his overall well being.(Thats okay and go right ahead! ^_^ )

Javor placed his stethoscope in his ears and put the chest piece against his back. "Take deep breaths," he commanded. "I will give you something that will aid in weening you off the nicotine. For now, we will find out what is wrong with you."
Idiot boy. Mortals were always so eager to kill themselves slowly, but when you offered to do it for them, more quickly, they got all huffy. It really was quite ridiculous. "Now. Breathe."

Jukka did as he was told and drew in a deep breath, wincing as he did so. It was incredibly painful, and shaky. He merely ended up hacking. Jukka rubbed his head and tried again, taking several more deep breaths and releasing them as normally as he could.

As he suspected, when Jukka took a breath, Javor heard a faint cracking sound. "Lay down," he ordered. He went to retrieve a small device of his own creation, bringing it to the bedside. When he had taken this role, he knew that with some of the students it might not be possible to refer them to standard physicians for more serious illnesses and injuries. Due to the physiological abnormalities among the different races, traditional practitioners would likely have no idea how to treat them. For that reason, he had brought along a number of instruments and medicines that would allow him to treat nearly every illness at the school.
Many of them were intriguing blends of science and magic--something that had always fascinated him.
At any rate, this device worked something like a standard x-ray. He held it over the patient and focused his energy into it. And it projected a faintly shimmering image of Jukka's lungs, which confirmed what he had suspected.
"You have pneumonia," he told the boy. "I will confirm with a simple test of blood, but I am certain you will need treatment for pneumonia." ((Sethrian is just...lurking nearby. LoL))

Jukka blinked, "Pneumonia?" He asked, then sighed. "Alright, what is the treatment for it?" He asked as his eyes wandered over to the x-ray type machine. As far as the blood test went, he wouldn't mind, Jukka wasn't scared of needles. He was more worried about the fact that he had pneumonia, which could be fatal. (lol xD )

Javor set the device and picked up another smaller one, with a tiny needle-like device on the end. He took it and pressed it against Jukka's finger, to take a small blood sample which he already knew would confirm his diagnosis. He replaced the needle and handed the device to Sethrian.
"I will need a sample from you as well, Tamanitsi," Javor said. "You have been in close contact and we must make sure you are not infected."
Sethrian scowled slightly, but took the device and pricked his finger against it as well.
"As for you," Javor said, taking the device back from Sethrian, nearly overjoyed to have precious samples. "You will begin a regimen of antibiotics. I will start the treatment today. You will stay in the infirmary for now so I may observe your progress. You are young and strong. This will aid in recovery. However, the damage you have done to your health with those smokings, Ma'ce, cannot be ignored. We must be cautious to bring your lungs back to full healths.

Jukka watched Javor and nodded as he listened to him carefully. he then closed his eyes. The poor boy was absolutely exhausted. he hadn't gotten any sleep the night before due to cold sweats and fevers, and now he was paying for it. His chest hurt incredibly and he wasn't sure how long it would be until he would finally feel better. Jukka hoped that he would be better in time for the dance. He also feared that Angela would be extremely disappointed if she found out about his current situation, though he wished more than anything that he could see her right now.

"You may go," Javor said to Sethrian. "If you have infection in your blood, I will call you back for antibiotic treatment." Seth hesitated, a little reluctant to leave the boy by himself. But honestly, as weird as Javor was, he'd never really done anything to indicate he was anything other than a slightly eccentric, but very adept doctor.
"I will return to check on you later," he finally told Jukka before heading out.
"Now, I will prescribe analgesics for the pain," he told Jukka. He went to a cabinet at the back of the room where he kept his stronger medications. First releasing the potent magic seal on it, he then unlocked it and pulled out the pills.
Javor retrieved a cup of water and took the things to the table beside Jukka's bed. "If you have things you require from your dorm, I will send for someone to fetch them. Otherwise, take this medications, cover yourself and rest."
((Angela is off at the beach with another guy, the little hussy. emotion_donotwant She'll feel guilty later though, I'm sure.))

Jukka nodded and took the medicine. "I don't have anything in my dorm that I need. I don't own a lot of things," he replied afterwards and then laid back on the bed. He grabbed the blanket and covered himself with it, closing his eyes. The poor boy was absolutely exhausted and all he wanted at that moment was sleep. Of course with the medicine it didn't take long, he was out like a light, sleeping rather soundly.
( gonk poor Jukka! Bad Angela! Bad! hahaha xD Well, I don't think that Jukka has the right to get mad anyway. They are not dating, he is just taking her to the dance. Though he does have a wicked crush on her. So long as Angela doesn't go to the dance with someone else I think Jukka won't be angered too much lol )

we must not buy their fruits... Murren had to resist the urge to giggle as Briar "saved" her and promptly panicked. And then he decided to take her to the infirmary. Hehehe. That was sweet. And it wasn't all bad being carried around by one of her own kind for a change. She let out a soft moan.
"Briar...dizzy...h...hold me!" Well, he already was, but she actually had wanted to say that ever since sneaking into a theater and watching return of the Jedi. Even if Briar wasn't quite Han Solo (oh goodness, if she ever met Han Solo as a faerie, she would just propose on the spot!) but he didn't let her hit the ground! And he didn't have a Wookie following him around. Which honestly was for the best because she did not think Wookies smelled nice most likely. Saying of which, Briar did.
She wondered what the infirmary was like--Briar said he'd slept in the doctor's hair. She'd never done that before, but it sounded interesting.

After watching Jukka sleep for a while--and poking him wit a stick once or twice--Javor went to study the blood samples he'd taken from the two boys. Jukka's confirmed his infection. Sethrian's was clean. All that would remain would be to purify Jukka's from the bacterial contaminants. Then they could both be used for the creation of monsters.
He was currently leaning over a microscope, studying the abnormalities in Jukka's blood and taking notes. Of course, he did it in his native tongue so no one else would be able to read it.
Huh. Cat people. Very interesting...
