Sylas struggled as well as he could, the hands on him too strong and painful for him to break away. He felt one of them over his mouth, silenceing his cries of panic. What would Dementia do in a situation like this? He thought, still kicking and squirming, hopeing he could break away from the larger man that was dragging him down the hall. The sad thing was that she had more of a defense than he did. His feet were not bothering the man as he kicked back, his thrashing was doing nothing at all, and he couldn't even bite the hand over his mouth.
If I hadn't have hide.. if I had just gone with everyone else this wouldn't have happened. It was too late now to worry about what could have happened before. He was not going to be able to go back. Any hope that this was just a teacher, albeit a heavy handed and perhaps very mean one, went out the door as they passed the gym class, a glimpse of the people in there passing his eyes. His class, he would have been safe with them. It was gone again fast though as the man headed to a fire exit, and pushed on the door.

The teacher had been watching the time, and after ten minutes, blew her whistle sharply.
"Okay, kids, time for a break, and then we'll switch sides, invaders will become defenders, and defenders will be invaders. Go get a drink if you need one, otherwise just sit tight for bit." She smiled and nodded as a couple of the kids immediately headed for the water fountain. They had all been doing an awful lot of running. She was proud of them, since half of them had that terrible medical condition... poor things.
Alida didn't immediately run for the fountain. She looked around a bit puzzled, because she had wanted to see how Sylas enjoyed the game. She knew he was a bit shy. But she couldn't find him anywhere...
She bit her lip, and then made her way over to Halley. She took out her mini-notebook from her pocket, and scribbled, Where's Sylas? Did he get a drink?"
Halley shrugged and said, "Hey, I don't know. We can go check. Teacher said we could get a drink." She grabbed Alida's wrist and pulled her towards the hall door, where the drinking fountain was just outside.
When they got there, there was a line, but Sylas wasn't in it... Alida frowned. He was in class before... I don't think he'd skip... maybe he got sick... She was looking around puzzledly, when her sharp ears caught a muffled noise from around the corner.
She tugged on Halley's arm, and when they rounded the corner, they saw a man with a struggling Sylas under his arm. Alida's eyes widened, and Halley took a deep breath, and shouted, "Hey, stop that! Someone get the teacher! Help!" Before charging fearlessly up to the large man. Alida ran back to the line of kids, grabbing someone randomly, and pulling them with her, her hand firmly holding a fold of clothing.
The man had paused a moment to look back at the commotion, and when he saw the little girl charging at him, he sneered.

Though the man stopped he didn't seem at all worried by the child that was running at him. He sneered and turned, forceing the door open and carrying the struggling boy through it and out into the parking lot located just outside the school. One hand was still firmly clamped over Sylas' mouth which muffled the sounds of struggle coming from the young form.
"Shut up boy.." The man hissed looking down at the back of the child he had taken. It was all too perfect and oportunity for him. A boy that had been left alone in the class. There were not many that noticed the whole scene, which ment that he didn't have too much to worry about. Over all this would have been better had no one seen, but it could have been much worse.

Yuki grinned at halley "I'll tkae that as a promise then, next time don't bore me." he laughed a bit, the joyful feeling of being normal for once almost overwhelming him. He continued with teh game, giving a sigh at ritsu..
The wistle blew, and he stopped with teh other kids, coughing a bit he moved into the line of kids to get a drink.. he wasn't feeling all too well.. and just when it was almost his turn some girl came up and grabbed him by the shirt.. "Wha.. what?!" he stuttered being pulled along after her.. she was a mute like ash wasn't she? He followed along willingly, not asking anymore questions of her.. he blinked when he saw a man taking a child..
His eyes narrowed.. it only took a second for him to figure out what was going on. Forcing Alida's grip off of him he ran up infront of the man, taking a fighting stance.. He was still learning the martial arts.. but.. supposedly he was really good. He gave a light cough and held his ground, a serious expression on his face. "Put him down.." He threatened, if his request was denied.. then he'd just have to use force. A small smirk lit his face when he expected the man to refuse..
Though it'd be fun trying to explain his.. abilities to the two girls.. A child with bronchitus taking down an adult all by himself? The curse did have some positive sides he guessed...

Halley blinked in surprise as she was passed by the boy she had faced off against in class. As he went in front and confronted the man, she grinned and set herself behind. She didn't have any formal skill, but she watched her dad and his punching bag all the time, and they wrestled.
"Yeah! Put him down, you creep! I'll punch your lights out!" She balled up a fist, and shook it at him, baring her teeth at the same time.
Alida watched worriedly, and decided that Yuki looked like he knew what he was doing... maybe she could go get the teacher... She ran back the way she had come, wishing she could shout for help. She skidded around the corner, and almost took someone else down, but managed to dodge them by using her wings as little rudders, finally they had a use! She pointed back the way she had come frantically before charging into the gym towards the teacher.
"What is it... Alida? You look upset. Is someone causing trouble?" The teacher took her by the hand and followed, taking faster steps because of the child pulling on her hand. She didn't understand what was wrong, she thought it was something with the kids at the fountain.

Dumb girl... She'd show that boy one of these days...even if it wasn't in gym class... She'd show him. Stupid bully.
And then, the teacher called for a break. She wondered towards the water fountain to get a drink just in time to see the events happening in the hall. She heard Yuki's voice. Her new friend didn't sound happy at all...
Quickly, she took off towards it, skidding to a stop beside him only to fix a chilling blue gaze upon him. Her skin seemed to grow a great deal more pale than usual. It was almost as if she were trying to frighten him. A little girl? Frighten a grown man?

Halley grinned as Ash joined them, and then said, "Hah! You're way outmatched now! Put him down!" She continued to try and look as threatening as possible.
Meanwhile, the teacher had just left the gym, being pulled by the hand by Alida, and rounded the corner to see the man confronted by the three children... And then she noticed the one captured in his arms.
"You there, stop this instant, and put him down! Who are you, how did you get in here!?" She moved towards him now, an angry expression on her face. She might have a kind demeanor most of the time, but she was the gym teacher after all, and chasing after kids all day had kept her in shape. She was no pushover.
Alida followed, but instead of confronting the man, she studied his face and clothes. She didn't remember seeing him in the building before... Maybe he was someone Sylas knew from before he was adopted? This didn't make Alida feel good... not with the way Sylas was always acting, like there was something for him to be afraid of.

The man grunted something and looked at the scared boy in his arms. He shook him once before dropping him to the ground, hard. Sylas found himself gasping in pain and trying to roll away before more damage was done. He didn't know what had happened or why the man had grabbed him, only that something about the man was mean. He looked over at the other kids then back at the man that was beating a hasty retreat. No this wouldn't be the end of things. He knew that. The man would come back again for some reason and when it happened he may be alone again, and no one would find him.
The thought caused a scared shiver to run through the young boy, his face dissolveing into a frightened sad mask. He wasn't ashamed of his tears. He felt they were valid and it wasn't as if he was trying for pity. He truely was upset and worried about what had just happened.
All those kids.. they had helped him. They had come out here to stop that man, but why? None of them owed him anything. None of them had to do it. Rubbing his sore backside he got up and looked at them, whispering softly. "T-thank you.. I.. I don't, don't know how to.. to make it all up to you all.."

Mrs. Dominguez made it to the group just as the man dropped Sylas and made a hasty exit past Yuki. "Oh, I'll never catch him, he's got too much leg... And by the time I get to a phone..." She looked down at the children, her first priority their safety, in any case. She quickly shut the door, and ushered the children back towards the gym, where the other kids were waiting with apprehensive looks on their faces.
Alida, on the other hand, had seen Sylas' tears, and her first thought was that he was hurt. She rushed forward and peered anxiously into his face before hugging him tight, wanting to cry herself. Horrible man... I can write a good description of him. Mrs. Dominguez can tell the police... I hope Sylas is okay. I wish I had my notebook here so I could ask him...
Halley had made a start towards running after the man, but was stopped by the teacher shutting the door. She pouted, and instead, slapped Yuki on the back before putting her hands on her hips and grinning at him. "I thought you were a scaredy-cat before, but you're pretty brave. You looked like you knew what you were doing, too! I'm learning boxing from my dad. Where did you learn?" She knew she was foreward, but if he didn't want to answer her, she wouldn't take offense at that, either. It was just her nature.
((Heh. Halley's dad is single, so she learns social behavior from only him. Can you say extreme tomboy? ^_^))

Yuki snorted, watching the man run off and lowing his fighting stance, he looked over to sylas "Its fine, Are you okay?" the boys tears didn't really bother him.. he could understand it a bit. He'd probably act the same way if akito decided to show up.. He gave a cough jumping when he was slapped on the back, looking startled to the girl. "I guess..." he blinked, still looking startled "Kuzumo, he's a martial arts trainer." he nodded a bit, "He taught some other people too, supposidly i'm better... Kyou and Haru are really into it, but I could.. try to teach you, if you wanted." he looked a bit nervious, but he smiled.. trying to build his courage up. "You were good yourself, You too ash." he quickly returned the compliment awkwardly.. he wasn't used to talking with people, and it showed.

She felt a bit of color returning to her cheeks as the compliment came from Yuki. Of course, instead of looking like a blush, the color just took away from the extreme paleness that had taken over her features.
She smiled brightly...finding herself wanting to give him a hug...but remembering the whole awkward 'no touching' thing that seemed to effect both of them. Instead, she looked away rather quickly, a few strands of hair sweeping against her face.
This whole school thing was strange...and exciting... She'd have much to tell her brother about...and much to write in her journal about as well when the day was over.

"Hey, thanks! And yeah, learning martial arts would be so cool!" She made a triumphant gesture.
"Oh, right! My name's Halley. I keep trying to get people to call me Hal, but they all laugh and say that's a boy's name. So what, I say." She shrugged, and then looked at Yuki and Ash. "What're your names?"
The teacher herded all of the children back inside the gym, and then told them to wait a moment, and that they were free to play as they wanted. She went to her office, and called the principal, detailing what had happened.
Alida continued to comfort Sylas, wishing she could do more. I can't even tell him what I'm thinking... For the first time in a long time, Alida rather regretted her inability to speak. And at the same time, she was glad it hadn't been her that was grabbed, because the sounds that alerted her to Sylas' plight wouldn't have been nearly as loud without a voice.
Even though she was mostly preoccupied with Sylas, her mind was working hard. Maybe a whistle? She didn't even care that her hat had fallen off onto the ground beside them.

Yuki looked at Sylas and Alida.. He felt bad as they were all being ushered back to the gym. He wanted to say something.. help them, er.. him.
"Uhn.." he noddd to halley a bit "Hal-kun.." he repeated, why not call people by what they wanted..? "Sohma, Yuki." he paused "Er.. Yuki..is my first name, and this is Ash." he gestured to her, hoping she didn't mind him introducing her.
"Ash.. would.. you like to learn too?" he leaded them onto a more clear spot of the gym.. he minas well start teaching now.. if she wanted to learn that was. he glanced around the gym, watching as the kids started horsing around with the teacher gone. He vaugly wondered if anyone would bother them.. like that idiodic bully. Where was Ritsu anyways? he glanced around trying to find his cousin.
