Blu_Libra My recomendation: Make her a 16 yo alan that can commune with animals and has very good snipiing skills due to her eyes making up for what she can't hear? That is actually a very nice suggestion. Let's just see what Fruit Loop thinks. ^^

Rainbow Ramen Cookie Yes, I saw your edit. Sixteen is fine by me, so long as it's maintained she's very small for her age. I'll edit that and then post it in the Accepted Thread. :3 Now that I think about it, being deaf is a severe disadvantage. Too much of a disadvantage even. And the bit about music... the deaf cannot hear music. They can feel vibrations, but that is it.

So, I was thinking that she was previously exposed to music, so she knows the vibrations of the sounds, she uses her memory for the sounds themselves. Therefore, she doesn't hear, but she can relate the vibrations to that of the few sounds she knows. For example, someone with a deep voice would create distinct vibrations through the air when they talked, so she would relate that to a B flat or a baritone voice. Clearer? I hope so ^^

Would you be able to explain why it would cause her to die? Because of all the energy put into transforming would put too much strain on her and cause her to die of exhaustion or a heart attack.

Derrik is cold, incredibly irritable and impatient and won't hesitate to destroy anything in his way. He's the sort of person that you avoid if at all possible, no matter which side you're on. As a leader he is a tyrant and his plans for his kingdom frighten many.

Prince Derrik's parents raised him the way bears do: instilling a fear in their child that some day they could kill and eat him. As with most children with powerful parents he disagrees with them on almost everything but does admire the iron fist with which his father rules. Derrik has a vision for his kingdom and cannot wait to ascend to the throne.
His parents sent him off to compete in the Minevica Games, though with an ulterior motive: If Derrik were to succeed and bring home the Stone of Prosperity, then they would be proud and gain favour. Should he fail and die… well, that would be even better. Derrik feels that either way he better bring home the Stone or die because nothing less is acceptable. The Stone would give him the opportunity to obtain dominance over the whole world, be it by choice or enslavement.
During Derrik's spare time he trains, practicing his shadow abilities be it travelling through them, using them as weapons or using them to trap his prey. Over the many years Derrik has spent training he's grown quite skilled and has very few physical weaknesses.
