"Get some rest," she said simply. "Let's head into the nearby town, get a room in the inn, and then you can take a long nap."

Vince reached up, grabbing Calamity by the handle before standing, using the sword as a crutch. "...Ok...I'll pay."

Takai rolled her eyes and got to her feet. She stayed close to his side so he could use her as a support rather than the sword. "Don't be ridiculous. I can pay."

Vince actually took the gesture, leaning against her, but kept a bit of his weight on Calamity. "...In this plane, isn't it normally a males responsibility to pay...?"

"I suppose, but of course, I'm not technically from Earth itself, so I choose not to follow the rules," Takai explained as she started leading the way towards town. "Where I come from, it is simply a nice deed to do something to help others, especially for those who are close to you... Memory is fragmented, but if someone was to touch another's soul in some way, then the two of them would be bonded forever."

Vince listened as they walked, and when she was finished, he looked at her slightly. "Why are you telling me this?"

Takai only smiled slightly and glanced up at him. "Because whether you believe it or not, our souls have touched... And since you were commenting on how those on Earth act, I was simply inputting how I act... how I'm different from others of the world... So if you were to ask me of some favor or something else from me, then you must understand how I act so you'd know how I'd respond..."

Vince looked at Takai before nodding. "...Quite honestly, I think you're the only person who understands me. That's saying something. I usually stay away from everyone to stay away from the pain."

"Well it's alright. I usually don't hang out with the living too often," Takai said with a small care-free shrug. "Besides, I find more interest in the dead. Despite actually being dead, they have many stories to tell."

"The dead always have the best stories..." Vince replied to her statement with a thoughtful look. As they came into the town, the thoughtful look stayed, even as he looked around at everything, getting a few looks from some of the citizens.

Takai smiled at Vince and led him to the inn. Once inside, she paid and continued to lead the way up to the room. There were two beds in the room, so Takai helped Vince to the first one and sat down on the edge for now. "See? It'll be alright. Now get some rest."
