No... It's godmode. The term is godmoding not godmodding.

Because when you god mod, you are playing a divine moderator, when your character IS A god mod, then they are playing a divine moderater. A god mod technique is a technique that mods the roleplay. To say a character IS A god mode is to say they are not actually a charcter but a mode, the only way this would make sense is to say a person entered god mode, or a god mode, which people don't say for a reason. You can't say a technique is god mode, you could say it can only be used in god mode, but once more not what people say for a reason. To say you are a godmoding would mean that you yourself are in a god mode, which as a roleplayer you are not >.>

Sigil Warden Epic Myth Well, I guess I was going to have to explain myself eventually. Thank you Virtue for stating it before I had to but let me put my 2 cents in. Ahem. No god-mod. All legit. You can ask ImNoHero himself. He'll advocate for me. It might not be to your liking but that is my style of writing and more so than that, it's a style of logic. A lot of ImNoHero/Jamal's moves were easy to capitalize on based on simple positioning and movements. When it comes down to Hand-to-Hand fighting, there's always an answer unless you lunge/tackle/or shoot to the point that momentum makes it hard to evade. I also set up a good amount of traps for him to walk into based on the flow of the battle. The reason why it seems like god-modding is because I opted out the use of "if, attempt, when," and all those words since it seems redundant most of the time. It does not mean that the blow has landed. But the way I write, I write to convince that it will most likely land based on the forces of logic. For example: When he tried to strip Joe of his weapon. He committed two hands a kick with his leg. Indeed so, he did strip Joe of the staff but Joe got in a good kick based on his right side being open from his movements. Also, I don't like quoting out powers or moves. Everything I do is in the realm of Joe's powers but fresh out of my mind. But if you like to know. It's Martial Arts Superiority. Chi control. And Air Manipulation. That's all there is but with those three abilities, there's tons of s**t I can do that's reasonable and even simple. Too much to actually list. So yeah, fighting me will make your lives difficult. I tend to do that. ninja You're up in arms when you've no need to be, my friend. I was more pointing fingers at Virtue's fight which is just a giant NO U being thrown back and forth, Samayou's fight in which he seems (and I base this on his previous fight as well) more or less invincible, and in yours there were hints of it from both sides, although if you guys worked it out then great. Also, props for waxing philosophical about a simple punch. Our fight is going to be fun. They weren't really giant NO Us, it was simply that there were specific provisions in my profile already that allowed me to well, not take damage from those types of attacks. Like I said, luck of the draw and crafty character creation. Likewise, neither of us really complained to each other about the one attack that each of us just outright dodged. They were reasonable, especially for this tier of competition. I mean, throwing a small fireball from a distance and trying to stab someone's free hand aren't known as the most sure-fire ways to land a hit. Like I said, you don't have access to the details of my character so you wouldn't know that. But really, there's no reason for me to interrupt the flow of my post to unnecessarily explain something that everybody who needs to know already knows. But now I'm just repeating myself.

WoTS5567_No_Okami So do I, ya know, 9 years of roleplaying, actually using logic since godmode makes no grammatical sense, etc >.> Obviously a character can't god mode... "God mode" makes perfect sense in the same way "rage mode," "berserker mode," and so on make sense. You can't really "mod" an RP. That is, mod meaning modification, you're not making an actual modification.

Neither mod as in modification or mod as in "moderator" make more sense than mode.

Actually, you are wrong, and your proof supports me. God mode, is a MODE in video games. The only one that speaks of roleplaying is "godmod" which may be an abuse of god mode cheats according to the site, but the term is still godmod.
And no, mod does not refer to modification, it refers to moderation, or moderating...

You're still not moderating anything either...
The idea being "god mode" is that your character is doing something pretty much impossible, like not taking any damage from an attack when there is no reason why the character shouldn't. There is a change from being a normal character to being a "god".
You can think of it as plot armor and stuff too.
So for that instance, your character stops being a normal PC and jumps into being god, or possessing godlike powers. That's all it means.
