She was slightly startled when Amy hooked an arm around hers but she let it go for now. At least while their arms were hooked she didn't have to worry about the other girl getting lost or something.

It was easy enough to catch up with the group but she stayed on the edges of it. She had no idea who anyone was (then again she didn't know the girls who she was currently with) and any of them could be the reason they'd all been brought here. It wouldn't be good to be near that person if they weren't here for something good.

She was trying not to start thinking about aliens herself when some blond hottie showed up. "Well.... he was hot whoever he was." She raised a brow as the blond appeared and then ran off like the road runner. "Next time he does taht someone should ask if he speaks meep."

"...I think that might have been an improvement over.... I don't know... mechanical dragons." Holi offered, to the young woman who had proposed, and been ignored when she suggested that the strange noise had come from a dragon.

She was twisting her hair absently around her finger, chewing her lip anxiously as she tried to figure out a rational explanation for walls that flickered into view only when touched. Some kind of fiber optics?

"There has to be an explanation for the walls. There has to be. And the running. There has to be."

At least he was kind of hot... I mean there weren't too many guys that she could think of that pulled off hot pants without looking like they'd escaped from the cast of La Cage Aux Folles.

"The Surrounding? The Surrounding WHAT?" She asked though this particular question wasn't directed at anyone specific. Was it the name of this... this place? And if they'd been kidnapped, did they want to meet who was responsible? Maybe the cute boy in short-shorts was just to disarm them? Nothing still made even the slightest sense. Not at all. It couldn't be space. They couldn't be standing on a rainbow. The technology didn't exist, and magic... magic wasn't real.

"I'll um. Grant you that he was um." She twirled her hair some more. "Those shorts are hard to pull off." She corrected herself, as close as she was planning on coming to agreeing with Kes, though it wasn't really hard to pull off.

"That's what I'd like to know...among many other things," the huffy 17 year old replied (to Holi)

Perhaps if Natalia wasn't still believing this was a dream, she would have asked the question, 'why us?' What made them so special as to be pulled in to this place? However, she was still very adamant that this was all her dream, and her IMAAAGINAAATIONNN. Because yeah, she would totally dream of hot guys like that.

Mal had a feeling she wasn't speaking the same language as everyone else, an issue that could prove troublesome if they were all expected to work together at some point. She wasn't particularly compelled to make the effort to reach out, though, which was why she decided tweeting about everyone behind their backs was much more preferable than trying to communicate with them.

She sighed as she snapped her cell phone shut, slipping it and her woefully unused smoking materials back into her pockets. No food, no nicotine without the risk of further bending the laws of the universe, no way to convince everyone to just chill out and enjoy the best light show this side of the DC Planetarium. Things were looking bleak, as further evidenced by rainbow road's music selection. What the hell was that? She could only describe it in her own words as the melancholy tolling of a bell... in space.

Dire circumstances or not, at least Mal would never grow tired of adding "in space" to describe everything around them. Which is why she was pleased by the sight of the rapidly approaching figure... in space.

Or at least she was until the man only seemed to complicate matters further. Not that, with the way things were playing out, Mal expected anybody who they encountered to be entirely forthcoming or rational. But somehow the sight of genuine aliens would have been more sensible than that of a six-foot blonde with a sunny disposition.

"Nice?" she asked in genuine surprise, looking around at her group. "You wanted an indication that this was bad? Did you see how small that guy's shorts were?"

Virgo didn't like the necessity of forcing everyone out of their comfortable routines to check on their Outposts, but that didn't mean she didn't do it. Mackie might have been inaccessible, but she knew at least Andeon would be taking a look at Gemini; despite their recent fight, Leo still checked on his assigned day. So did Zue and Cancer, leaving them with a group of seven to cover seven days in a week. That seemed to be as often as they could muster enough energy to go. Save Chronos, of course, who went every day. Virgo went with her, as often as she could.

Today, she felt the difference as soon as she stepped into what should have been the quiet stillness of space. Neso's warning gave her enough forewarning that she wasn't shocked by the revelation of these civilians in her homeland, but still... it was hard to keep her temper as she ran along the Surrounding from her home outpost, towards the point where Neso said he had seen the civilians. Much like the Hand of Summer, her approach was meteoric; but unlike him, she had plenty of practice from hours spent roaming the Surrounding. She slowed to a stop a few yards from the civilians, and clenched her fists in the ends of her fuku.

Civilians. A horde of them--she counted at least thirty, probably closer to fifty than forty. A man calling for order--children sneaking off--children!! Some of them older than Virgo, but they weren't senshi; they were civilians; ergo, just children. Virgo had an entire lifetime before the one she experienced now, and didn't think any stretch of the imagination could truly call her a child. But these civilians? They didn't know anything about where they were. They couldn't. One of them said something about green aliens, even. As far as she knew, the only green aliens had been destroyed in Destiny City a year and a half ago...

"Excuse me!" Virgo had been practicing her Captain Presence, and hoped it would be enough. She stood shorter than most of the civilians, and didn't anticipate this being easy. "My name is Zodiac Captain Virgo, and you're all in the Surrounding, and you should not be. If you would all be quiet, please, I can try to figure out why you're here." And if you don't shut up, I'll get mad, she added in her head. But that would be counterproductive. So she kept that bit to herself.

"There was a mass coma? How long ago? I have only recently moved here, i was in college these past few years... your a reporter." It was a statement more than a question. He would know things going on if he was a reporter, they could never keep their hands NOT dirty." That was SO not a groan either..." She sounded slightly childish in her wordings, but hell when she was out of her element, trying to keep calm, stuck in weird surroundings...

"Oh hell. Where the hell are we?" She mumbled, almost as if i cue, some sort of....bouncing orb floated their way. Squinting, she watched slowly as the orb took the shape of...a man?

...A man wearing hardly anything.

"...... Oh this must be a dream. MUST be a dream." She would never admit it, but she could feel a blush rising up her neck and setting into a pinking tone on her face. Damn it to hell, you'd think being used to seeing bodies in her work space would make her more tolerant! But this was not her work, where she could disassociate herself with the patient.

Thankfully, as soon as he was here... he was gone. Wait, thankfully? Shaking her head, she watched with everyone else as the chunk of rainbow extended.

"....Who else thinks we should follow him?" I mean hell, he seemed to know where they were! ..Then another voice. The hells with all these random people in.....random outfits?

She dared not speak up again. This woman spoke like she had authority, maybe SHE knew what the hell was going on. Then again she was speaking to them like being a civilian was a BAD thing..?

Kes wasn't impressed when a girl arrived. She screwed her face up and couldn't help but let the words slip out...

"Where has the hot guy gone?" She spoke a bit louder directing it to this so called Captain Virgo who was apparently in space and should have been because they shouldn't be here? Well duh! She could have told you that.

She looked back at Holi and then at Natalia who Holi seemed to have spoken to and was just a little annoyed that the hot guy hadn't come back. Wouldn't it make more sense to deal with a hot guy, would be much more of a reason to listen to him and you know swoon over etc. It seems that wasn't going to be the case though.

"So why are you here? If we aren't suppose to?" Kes was going to keep shouting questions to this so called Captain Virgo if only because she seemed to think they weren't suppose to be there which meant she was but yet why should she be in space? After all it was ******** space!

Amy was a bit thrilled at the appearance of this alien...but then sad that he looked so human. She was really hoping for something crazy, like how aliens were in some video games. She assumed that Regina was feeling vastly more disappointed than she was, and tried to give her some sort of encouraging squeeze.

"Yeah," Amy agreed quietly with Joce. "I didn't know aliens could be hot.." And she was more shocked than anything when he just...disappeared as quickly as he had arrived!

Before Amy could really question Joce and Regina on what they thought about this "Surrounding", another one of these human-ish aliens appeared. A gorgeous girl that looked quite irritated. It certainly hushed Amy into silence for the moment as her orange eyes admired this gir- Captain Virgo's outfit.

Oh, great, terrorists now ?

At least, that was the impression he got from the blonde girl who suddenly took form near them. Zodiac Soldier... What now ?

Terrorists were so wacked up, and Joshua had a good idea that he might not want to make her angry.

He liked being alive. Even if this was probably just a dream.

He was going to wake up anytime now.

Right ?

"I would appreciate going home, m'dam." He addressed Virgo politely. "My intent was never to end up in... here." Whatever it was.

Politeness got you everywhere, right ?

Prosper didn't do weird.

Weird did Prosper.

Try as he might, every effort he made to block out all discussion of aliens and space dragons invaded Prosper's sense of security like a disease. He was a non-believer; a young man most at home with the mundane, and the familiar. All of this was so far out of Prosper's comfort zone that he felt a little sick with it, and had to suppress the urge to push Darwin over the edge of the road.

Despite the way that it looked, they simply couldn't be in outer space. Castles existed only on earth, and rainbow roads didn't exist anywhere at all.

Except. He was walking on one. In what appeared to be outer space. And there were castles.

There were only two logical explanations for this. He was either dreaming, or dead. Prosper knew which of these options he preferred, and violently pinched the skin under his arm to check. Pain rocketed up his limb, and he remained standing exactly where he was.

His mood darkened. If he was dead and there was pain, this must not have been heaven.

Damn it. Prosper just knew he should have nagged his mother about donating to more charities.

Or--

He glanced irritably at his companions, and wondered if he shouldn't have been on worse behaviour in his life. At least then he could have gotten a first class ticket to hell, and not had to suffer in such lacklustre company.

That mysterious sound tugged Prosper out of his self-pitying reverie long enough to groan. He froze when it sounded not once, not twice, but five times, and watched the swiftly approaching blur of yellow light with no small amount of trepidation. Whatever it was seemed, somehow, more cheerful than anything Prosper was prepared to deal with right now, and he wished that it would go away.

But then it turned into a man. With answers. And he was going to fetch somebody responsible.

Oh good. Prosper loved responsible people. They drove him places. They took care of bills. They made sure his teachers didn't fail him.

Prosper was grateful to Neso, and even brightened enough to chance a smile at the Captain of the Zodiacs when she arrived. She brought with her such wonderful news that Prosper was almost compelled to hug her. But he didn't.

"Oh!" He breathed dreamily, as though this were some fantastic revelation, "I knew I didn't belong here."

Between the tall tan man with minimal clothing and the tiny girl in the veil, Ricky was more than concerned. Aliens. He was right. It was the only logical explanation. He bit his lip as he stepped behind Anna, Grant and Mal as if they were a human wall to protect him. If anyone was going to get probed, the aliens would have to go through them first.

Once behind them, however, he couldn't help but keep his mouth shut.

"Are you gonna be able to take us home, girl?" he asked, already unable to remember Zodiac Captain Virgo's name. He just remembered it was something alien-sounding and un-Christlike. "And whaddya mean we ain't supposed to be here? Its not like we're tresspassin' or nuttin, we were broughten here!"

These aliens were so disorganized.

Not supposed to be here? Uh, hello, this was her dream, Natalia would like you just let you know. Besides, it wasn't like she asked to be here. You never knew what dream world you'd pop in to. So uh, yeah.

This girl was pretty though. Natalia let the others ask her questions for her. They seemed to be pretty good at doing that. And if this was the someone more responsible the hot guy talked about? well, maybe she'd finally get some answers.

Jett’s plans of venturing further came to a stop. There were people here, dressed in odd outfits who did, in fact, not look like they were people he would have noticed just meandering around town. Not in those outfits, anyway.

He wasn’t necessarily one who liked to obey orders given by strangers—he never really liked obeying orders, anyway, but he’d already decided that this was a special occasion. He fell quiet, not like he was really making too much noise to begin with. He’d noticed Raven glancing in his direction and locked eyes with her, raising a brow as he gestured to Captain Virgo. He had been only very slightly of some other stranger appearing in the distance, but neither had he been close enough to see nor hear him and wondered if Raven had any better luck.

But, it didn’t matter. Because, here were people who might not have known what was going on, but they knew that something was wrong, and then weren’t stumbling around asking questions. Jett could respect anyone with an authoritative air and so crossed his arms over his chest and did what he’d been doing this whole time—he observed. He wasn’t about to leave Molly since at present she was his only ally, nor was he going to go putter along back to Raven’s party. He was content—as content as anyone could be under these circumstances—where he was, though his curiosity had since begun to spike. They weren’t supposed to be here, but did that mean that there were those who did? Who could they possibly be?

"I hope so," Ian answered. "Otherwise we're not going to get very far." That was a depressing thought, and he quickly changed the subject. "Wish I had my camera. This place would be amazing to take pictures of."

When the golden man appeared, he could only blink. "Wait, what?" He had appeared out of practically no where, and had vanished away just as quickly. "This place has inhabitants?"

He was mostly talking to himself, but when Virgo appeared and appeared to be wanting to take over, he grew quiet. If she was anything like some of his teacher, he didn't want to upset her, and if she could get them home, they really didn't want to make her mad. He couldn't resist making a comment though, leaning in close to Raph and whispering. "Looks like we've run into the people who live here."

Anders was a little slow to pick up on what Hawke was trying to tell him. What did it mean? The moment Hawke mentioned The Keeper, his eyes lit up and his expression took on a momentary 'aha!' look. That was it! A Keeper, or someone with the skill, had sent them all into Space Fade. It had to be a pretty good Keeper too, if they were sending more than a few people. Perhaps it didn't require any extra skill, though. Anders was an apostate, not a Keeper.

"I don't even know what to buff you for right now, let alone what buffs I should do. I say we keep on walking forward and when we run into something, just know that I've got your back." Anders gave Hawke a reassuring pat on the shoulder, which probably wasn't that reassuring since Anders was inclined to do things like blowing up chantries. "We'll take it on the next run through." Apparently the best way to cope with an unknown situation is to make it into something that they did know about. Anders and Hawke knew a shitton about Dragon Age. It was only logical.

"Is that a spirit?" Anders pointed indiscreetly towards Sailor Neso, who was dressed even more strangely than the pair of LARPers. Either he was a spirit, or he was into some game that Anders had not heard of. He suspected that Neso had to be a spirit. He had not arrived here with them, and instead had come towards them... and was now telling them to sit tight as he wandered off again. Great. They had met the most helpful spirit ever.

In his place another spirit showed up in the same exact style. Anders would have guessed her to be the Keeper, but then she wouldn't be wandering through the fade with them. She also dressed like she was a sister of the chantry... but he came to the same conclusion about her as he did Neso. It was a spirit. Or, they could be demons. But, Anders got the feeling they were spirits, and he put a good amount of faith in his feelings. "What kind of spirit are you?" he ended up asking her, disinclined to be completely quiet.
