Liliana laughed. Do you really want Srin on him? she mentally asked Tombz. "Go on, Kinetav. You are safe here," she said with a smile. "Lord Tombz, maybe we can converse somewhere comfortable to explain what I saw?"

*Kinetav's eyes narrowed at the mention of that Citadel, thinking a little about going back and taking some of the tools a few days later or after it all blew over; he was itching for some permanent tools with which he could always repair his gauntlets and make modifications if he saw fit. As the Meacha looked over his gauntlets and told him that he was allowed access to the tool section, he thanked him and mentioned:*

"I know...Srin sent me to the Devil's Eye Desert with Legion escort, and I was promptly captured. I was lucky that their Lord was Krayth... The Citadel has a few answers to give me when I go there next, that is for sure...Thank you for your assistance, Lord Tombz..."

*Looking back at Liliana, Kinetav nodded as he was told that he could enter the castle and waited for Tombz's permission/dismissal before entering his Castle.*
”….enjoy eternity in my Edge.”

"Go ahead, Lili and I have things to discuss." he said, making a gesture towards the large door in front of them. He held his tongue for a moment, waiting for Kinetav to be out of ear shot. "Lili, if you'll follow me to the old graveyard, we can talk there with no fears of anyone interrupting." he said.

”If you thought Hell was frightening….”

*Kinetav nodded at Tombz and entered the magnificent palace behind the meacha, finding the halls just as the man had described and a set of stairs leading to the basement. He ran down and entered a room filled with tools, metals, and everything else he'd need as his eyes widened at how easily he could find everything. Walking around the room, he found extra cords, cogs, a few springs, and he sat down on the bench with a mechanist's tool kit and a computer that was on it.

He took one of the cutting tools inside of the kit, and took off his gloves before beginning to cut one of the metal plates on the forearm of his right gauntlet as he cut out a square plate of it and set it on the table before him.

(1/3) Drawing Edge, he grasped the hilt by the Exodus core and starting willing Edge to get smaller. The Exodus screamed out that its natural form was the smallest it thought it could go. The blade had not gotten much smaller than the dagger.
(2/3) The Anima began feeding energy into the Exodus as it finally began to get smaller. Edge continued to hiss as the blade began to evaporate. With 5 energy spent, the blade had evaporated halfway.
(3/3) Finally with 5 more energy, the blade evaporated completely. What was left behind was the core itself only, Edge completely exposed. The Anima set the core onto the black piece of metal as he sized it up.

(1/24)Kinetav began to dig through the forearm cables of his right gauntlet. He pushed entire sections of cords to the side as he needed room enough for the core to be put in. He began to size up the inner dimensions of the gauntlet.
(2/24) He began to cut on the opposite side of his right gauntlets, wishing to put in a button by which to operate this socket. He cut out a small hole, barely an inch wide on his wrist on the outer forearm and set it on the table. He started to gather the springs and cogs by which the socket would open and close.
(3/24) He gathered wires and started to thread them through the gauntlet. After some trouble he found the cables poking out both ends of the gauntlets. He gathered up the small round piece of metal he had cut out.
(4/24) He placed a spring in until it was pressing somewhat to the top of the gauntlet. He put a small pressure pad on the very surface. He then covered the pressure pad with the black material.
(5/24)Satisfied that that pressure pad would work, he took it all out for a second. He took a small piece of circuity and put it under a microscope. He used wires to hook it up to the computer beside him.
(6/24)As Kinetav pulled up a programming program, he began to input code. He started making it so that the chip would respond to electrical impulses caused by pressing the pad down. Afterwards he placed the circuitry in the hold on the wrist part of the outside of the gloves.
(7/24) Using a small screwdriver, he secured the small piece of circuitry. He began to wire the button up to the pressure pad, allowing a small electrical circuit. He then placed the dark metal on top of the pressure pad.
(8/24)First, he ensured that the circuitry was hooked up such that there were more wires from the first computer chip all the way to the inside of the gauntlets. Then he began to use a fusing tool to meld the dark metal to the pressure pad and spring. He grinned as he finished, the button barely noticeable if at all.
(9/24) Gathering up a second chip, he hooked it up to the computer. After programming it to respond to electrical responses from the other chip, he placed it inside the inner forearm of his gauntlet. He used a screwdriver to seal the circuitry in place.
(10/24)He had to begin to focus on the cogs and socket itself. He measured the core of his Exodus on the piece left out. He picked out a few sections of the dark metal he had gathered.
(11/24) He began to form an actual socket. He measured the depth of his gauntlets again. He began to cut precise pieces of raw metal.
(12/24) Double-checking his measurements, he placed the metal inside of the gauntlets. He took a blowtorch, and began to weld the pieces of metal together outside of the gauntlets and sealed it such that there was only one side open. After a while, the outer part of the socket was ready...he hoped. He knew that with Edge so tight in the socket, that it would take time to get out
(13/24) He took the cogs he had gathered and began thinking of how best to make the mechanical mechanism. He began to place cogs inside of the guantlets. He fused them such that they could rotate on each other.
(14/24) He started to hook up a sensor to the cogs in order to make them rotate. Taking some of the free wires from the opposite piece of circuitry he began to tie them to the front piece of circuitry. He then tied more wires to the front piece of circuitry.
(15/24) He then began to hollow out some of the cords he had gathered. He cut a slit on the wrist of the outer forearm of the gauntlet right beyond the button. He then cut two holes in the socket outside of the gauntlet.
(16/24) He placed Edge's core in the socket outside of the gauntlet. He smiled at it fit perfectly, and began to thread the hollowed cords through the gauntlet. He grinned even wider as he felt the cords hit the slit on the opposite side.
(17/24) Using a glue, he sealed the ends of the hollowed cords to the inside of the slit. This would allow him a channel for the Exodus metal to go through. He took the socket and began to place it inside the gauntlet.
(18/24) The socket rested a good two inches outside of the gauntlets on the cogs. He smiled as this would work perfectly, and took the socket back out for a second. He then hooked up the ends of the hollowed out cords to the holes in the socket.
(19/24) He began to hook up the wires such that the cogs would turn as it felt an electrical impulse. This impulse would be initiated by the pressing of the button on the opposite side. He then pressed the button and watched the cogs turn.
(20/24) He set a small "floor" for the socket and spring inside of the gauntlets. He pushed the floor almost to the circuitry, and hooked it up to the cogs such that it would be kept it place. If the button was pressed the floor would rise and fall around two inches to the surface of the gauntlets.
(21/24) He tested this theory, hitting the button of the opposite side. As the cogs turned, the "floor" of the gauntlets rose to its proper height. He set the socket with Edge on the "floor".
(22/24) As the socket rested perfectly, he began to weld the pieces of metal together. Edge cursed as the flame heated him up a little, and Kinetav began to sweat in accordance. At last the pieces were welded together.
(23/24) Kinetav double checked everything. The Gauntlets seemed to be in order. He turned them around over and over and in all directions, sastisfied that Edge wouldn't fall out by mistake.
(24/24) At last, it was time for the final test. He pressed the button and watched breathlessly as the socket was lowered perfectly into the gauntlets. It was hardly, if at all, noticeable due to the black metal blending perfectly in.

”If you thought Hell was frightening….”

*Seeing as how nobody was around at the moment, the Anima decided it would be best to learn some new techniques and test out his new socket a little further.

(1/4)In the meanwhile, he began to practice some shadowmancing. Drawing his mind deep into the Void, he saw shadows mentally beginning to come to life at his command. When his eyes re-opened, tendrils of darkness could be seen in his eyes as he extended his open left hand to the darkness.
(2/4)At first, his move failed. The Anima lowered his hand in defeat, only to raise it back up again after a few second's hesitation. He wasn't about to let down the Void, Devil's Eye, or Ba'Shev as he tried to control the darkness.
(3/4)A shadow began to stir to life, barely moving in the darkness but still moving none the less. It wouldn't be sufficient in combat yet, as the Anima poured more of his focus and will into the move. The shadow began to move from slight millimeters to inches as the skill began to work.
(4/4) Finally, the shadow began to move at his mental command. It flew around him, the cool shade comforting the Dark Avenger as he knew this skill would come in handy later. He wondered how long it would last in this state.

(1/4) But it wasn't enough to be used that effectively in combat as the Anima could run his gauntlets right through it. He began to focus on the shadow, a second skill coming to his mind from the Void. He wanted to transmute the shadow into a physical entity in order to use it in combat.
(2/4) He stuck his open left gauntlet into the shadow. He swirled it around as he continued to concentrate on the shadow and make it manifest into physical substance. He felt a resistance on his arm as the shadow began to harden around the gauntlet.
(3/4) He spoke a little Black Tongue to help ease the process, calling upon the Void to give strength to the shadow and its agent. He began to release his hand, and the tendrils of the shadow began to coalesce. Building from the floor up, a humanoid form began to appear.
(4/4) He began to walk around the shadow, taking in every detail of it. The tendrils faded away, and all that was left was physical shadow. Although it was a little wobbly to his touch (rubber), it would certainly come in handy later on.

”If you thought Hell was frightening….”

*Kinetav extended his right arm in front of him, inspecting the gauntlet and running his left gauntlet over the other; the black fingers brushed over the dark metal, and only snagged on the slit that was cut to allow the Exodus material to form outside of the gauntlet. But his primary goal was done, and he did not wish Edge to ever fall into the hands of another again...It was bad enough that the High Priestess before he was tossed into the portal had to hand back his Exodus, but to have it taken yet again by Gerdane was more than enough to have pushed the Anima over the edge.

Slowly ascending the stairs, Kinetav moved silently as he walked about the halls, not wishing to disturb anyone or even draw attention to himself. It was time to find an open room and be to his own thoughts for the night, for better or for worse. His footsteps did not falter on the icy floor as he rather enjoyed the Kishu Tundra, looking around at even doors made of thick ice through which nobody could see.

His mind was in motion just as much as his body, his gauntlet darting to his chest but not pulling out the locket hidden within his armor. The Anima started opening some of the icy doors, trying to find a room to stay in as he accidentally disturbed a few sleeping people and apologized quickly. Being exhausted, he eventually tried all of the doors along the way and finally found an empty room. It was beautiful, well furnished with a bed and pictures of what must've been the Lord and Lady of the palace...which was weird as the Lord looked perfectly human. The room was somewhat well lit, and the Anima cursed at the light as he searched frantically for a switch to it.

The light switch was nearly knocked out of the wall by his gauntlet as the Anima's memories began to come to life and he recalled the day, no more training or chaos to help keep him focused. The coldness and the shadow soothed his soul as he thought of the better parts of the day. He thought of the day in a backwards motion, of the Tundra, the training, the Vestitor, so on so forth until he reached the original meeting of Krayth. He felt comfortable in the Devil's Eye, more so than any other place he had been, but still it was unusual to the Anima to be in another world, as was to be expected. As the memories from the past day began to rise, so too did the soul's memories in Edge. He stumbled groggily into bed as whispers and voices began to tear his mind apart for the night, an Anima stuck in a foreign land. He, or more precisely they, began to curse Kinetav as an insufferable being of darkness worthy of exile as blades struck him in the heart and skull, and he could feel the sting of both Edge and the Light and see the darkness cloud his eyes either way.

Sleep would not come easy to him that night as various thoughts continued to plague him and he broke out in a cold sweat, the Anima pushing the button on his gauntlets and with trembling fingers took out Edge as fast as he could before resealing the gauntlets. The metal began to reform around Edge's core as the black fingers grasped it to the point where Edge and Kinetav felt discomfort, needing some kind of physical reassurance of his safety, the b*****d who gave up his soul to the Void for a chance of justice against the Temple that he might never see again. He took out the locket of Eraysia and let it dangle freely around his neck, just more pain shooting through him as he remembered the Light that tore through his leg. After a few minutes he couldn't stand it anymore and took it off, placing it on a desk next to the bed; as he wrapped himself tightly in the sheets, it would be a good hour or two before the Anima would fall asleep, drowning himself in the memories and becoming emotionally exhausted until he literally passed out grasping the regenerating Edge in his hands. He prayed to the Void that the next day would bring even better prospects as that day was the first "decent" one he'd had in a while, growing into his powers and new place in society.*

Liliana's footsteps echoed against the floor as she followed the thread that connected Kinetav to her. Finding him in one of the farther rooms, she could see the images that flickered through his mind in sleep. Sitting beside him on the bed, her hand brushed away some of the hair that clung to his face. It was a shame his old world had to treat him like they did. But at least he was away from it now. Knowing he had gotten enough rest to at least recharge him, Liliana became a full presence in his mind to drown out all else. It's time to awake, Kinetav Voidsworn.

*Kinetav's eyes continued to flutter underneath the eyelids as memories continued to flow through him subconsciously; as the shadows swirled around in his brain, the Void began to flood him with memories of skills that he could possibly learn...he heard raspy voices in his brain from the Void as his gauntlet grasped Edge's core still, telling him to go forth and kill those Priests with his new found power...and he heard the Priests dismiss him as unworthy of life. All of the sudden...the voices began to drown away, moving in motion as some foreign thought entered his mind. It was a soothing, yet familiar tone as he heard the feminine voice and his eyes popped open at the command, seeing a figure in the darkness looming over him. It took him a good second to recognize the soul of Liliana before he took a breath of relief and melded back into the sheets, rubbing his eyes:*

"Oh, hey....what's up?"

*Kinetav quickly got out of bed and started preparing himself to be on the move, happy that his mind was once again engaged as he stretched for a minute; pressing the button on his gauntlet, the new socket opened up and Edge's core was placed into it, a "click" sound coming from the tightness of the socket. As it was being lowered into the gauntlet, the Anima reached for the locket on the counter and placed it back around his neck before securing his vizor back onto his face:*

Liliana chuckled as her necklace glowed. "It's for the good of all one is friendly to the other rulers. It makes for better trade and quick solutions to international problems." Alewar appeared in his full size but didn't become solid yet. "Also, he more than likely now believes you dead or turned from his nation."

My binding, my oath, my life
Not for revenge, justice, or even thirst
All that One yearns for is acceptance
There are no exceptions to this rule

Which destroyed wounded my heart,
But one to my leg…Her bolt…Why?
