Dare smiled sweetly, enjoying her sentiment. "I love you too, Princess. Get some rest now, I can't risk you getting tired too quickly in the fight."
He calmly spoke a spell of renewal and energy over her, making sure she'd feel rested on the morrow. His heart raced, though. He was the first demon to hear a sincere declaration of love from another of his kind for more than ten thousand years...and such a precious little demoness she was.

Lucy gently nodded her head as he told her to rest and she curled up under the blanket. She was soon completely out again, getting as much sleep as she could for the morning. She seemed so peaceful, not even thinking about tomorrow's fight. In reality, she was dreaming about a beautiful wedding for herself and Dare.

Dare woke her gently, a good six hours before the fight was scheduled to commence. "Wake up, sweety. We should go over some things before it begins."
He didn't mention her dreams, though his smile seemed wider this morning.

Lucy's eyes opened as she heard Dare waking her and she let out a soft yawn. She saw the smile on his face and she gave him a questioning look, wondering what he was so cheery about this morning.
"Alright, you better have been in your office or something during the night, Dare. Why are you smiling so much this morning?"Lucy asked him.

"No, dear wife. I was where I belong last night...in our bed. Rest assured that nothing happened that you would regret. Now, onto the fight."
He quizzed her for hours about the invocations needed for each spell, the gestures used to weild magic, and finally, an hour before the fight, he stopped, kissing her forehead in a loving gesture.
"You will do well, Princess. You will beat him soundly."

Lucy smiled softly as he kissed her forehead, feeling like she really could do anything.
"Alright, well, if you think I can do it, then I suppose I will be able to do it. And next time, sleep in your office, at least until we are actually married according to witch standards, please,"Lucy requested gently as she looked ready to go.

Dare shook his head, still smiling. "Would a demon ceremony do?"
He chuckled, holding out an arm to escort her as he traveled the lines to Dalliance. "Remind me later to have a gargoyle bred for you. You'll eventually need to learn to travel the lines...and you'll need a password..." He trailed off, thoughtful, and didn't seem to realize how confusing his last sentence was to a -mostly- white witch.

Lucy had gotten a little better at not looking so sick when the jumped like this. At his words, she gave him a confused look, wondering what he meant by the last part.
"Well, I would prefer a witch ceremony, but we will figure it out later. As for the last part, I am completely confused by what you just said. You have to remember that I am a white witch, so I don't know what you are talking about,"Lucy pointed out.

He shook his head ruefully, still smiling. "To learn to travel the lines, you must have a gargoyle to teach you. They were created by our kind to do so. If you try, untrained, it can be fatal. That is how the ley lines were created...each one is a representation of an individual demon who tried to escape to reality before we could travel the lines."
His smile faded as he remembered, abd he met her eyes. "You do not want to make a ley line. To put it simply...it hurts."

Lucy listened to him carefully and saw him looking into her eyes, knowing it must be bad to make a ley line.
"Don't worry, I have no intention of making a ley line, I do not fancy feeling too much pain. It must be pretty bad, based on the look you are giving me,"Lucy answered.

His worry cleared and his smile returned, turning mocking as Kainalaparus appeared. "Alright, my sweet...beat him well." He pressed a quick kiss to her lips and withdrew from the fighting area.
Kainal smirked, leering at her from the other side of the circle. "I will use you well, little witch, when Balindareptas decides to sell you."
Dare laughed. As though he'd sell his wife? Idiot.

Lucy turned to face her opponent as he began to talk and she let out a soft laugh.
"Sorry, but you will never have me, Balindareptas would never sell me. You know, I am very curious what you fear, considering you have such a tongue on you,"Lucy spoke as she began to say a spell under her breath, one that would show his fears.

Kainal started to reply, to refute her statement, but held his head as his fears began to play out inside him. He screamed, his fears playing for anyone to see.
Soon, though, he spoke the counter, and the spell disappeared. He spoke another spell and he transformed into an enormous monster, picking her up and lifting her towards that huge mouth to take a bite.

Lucy didn't seem very worried as she said a spell, making sure to send some paralyzing agent into the monsters mouth.
"You really do not think I would be a god thing to eat, do you?"Lucy grinned as she turned herself into a prickly cactus.

Dare chuckled in the stands, enjoying the show as she foiled the other demon's attempt to bite her.
Kainal roared, throwing her down with enough force to break her bones as her new form hurt his hand. He spun another curse, this one designed to make her see whoever she loved most dying in front of her.
