What on earth am I meant to do! In this crowded place there is only you!
Special jumped with surprise as Ashtara materialized beside her. The dust cloud had not entirely settled, so she couldn't quite see at the moment. Once it had finally settled down, Special spotted the robot and took aim at a hole in the robot's armour that one of the others must have created. Before she took the shot, Special narrowed her eyes at Ashtara. The demoness was acting as though Special was a pawn in some game of hers. Well it would disappoint her to know that Special could handle herself, since she had taken care of herself for practically her entire life. Turning back to the robot without saying a thing to Ashtara, Special let loose a quick laser shot at the robot. Hopefully it would prove effective now that the robot's casing had been pierced.
Was gonna leave, now I have to stay! You have taken my breath away!

(Tina, I'm not quite sure if I'm reading it right, but do you think Tiberius is giant-sized? confused He's actually just the size of any normal person. 3nodding Just clearing that up to make sure. razz )
Tiberius hissed with anger as Laura disappeared. This was why he hated magic users: they were too cowardly to fight a fair fight. His attention was soon drawn away when he heard a taunt coming from off to the side. His eye instantly scanned the new threat, detecting no magic present. "This shouldn't take to long," hissed Tiberius as he paced towards his new enemy.
"Did you forget about me?" asked Laura as she materialized behind Tiberius. She quickly raised her staff and smacked it across the back of Tiberius' head. Before he could turn around, she disappeared again.
Tiberius snarled as the staff made contact with his head. The pain was a momentary discomfort, since it hadn't been a well-trained fighter wielding the staff. He quickly twirled around, his laser swords slashing at where Laura should be. He cursed to himself as he discovered that she was already gone. "Come back here and fight fair!" roared Tiberius.

eek We'll I pictured him as being bigger than Desirae.
"Did you forget who else is here?!" Desirae shouted throwing a knife toward Tiberius. "Or can you not handle both of us at once?" she continued taunting.

Tiberius scowled as he turned back around to face Desirae. This battle was beginning to turn against him. He now had to deal with a woman possessing ranged weapons and a magic user who could disappear at will. As the knife headed towards him, Tiberius raised his arm. The knife deflected off of Tiberius' armour, leaving only a minor dent. Tiberius would have to move quickly. Neutralizing this one woman before the magic user could reappear was his best chance at victory. Ready to take his plan into action, Tiberius rushed at Desirae with his laser swords extended.

Tch. Ace sat back on a piece of rubble and fixed Ashley-Terra….Tara, with the blankest of stares.
“I have this.” she declared, brandishing her jacket, making the medals jingle. “Three stars, see? I have /nothing to prove to you. Besides….”
She settled back and took out her tea.
“Special’s got it covered.”

((LOL no problem, since my writer's block is almost always on, like now for example.))
It would appear the girl with the fan was plenty capable of taking care of herself. Ashtara approved. She would be the one to turn into a hawk the easiest, it would seem.
Ashtara giggled at the crippled one. How silly. "Prove to me? Hehehehe, no." A clawed black finger shout out, touching a medal before Ace could react. It retreated with the same speed, the demon's finger resting on the shiny metal for barely a second.
"How interesting." she pursed her lips.
((Also I am slightly confused, is Ashley-Terra the way Ace is pronouncing it or the way it should be based on my spelling?))

Tiberius moved in quickly, but he was now in danger of being shot at close range by his foe's bow. He began to sidestep sporadically, so as to throw Desirae's aim off. Just a little closer and he could reach her with his laser swords.
Laura suddenly popped up behind Tiberius as he was running and quickly smacked him on the back of the head again. Looking at Desirae, she said, "I can handle him well enough on my own." Laura then disappeared once more before Desirae could respond.
Tiberius took the blow with a grunt and kept on going. The sorceress was a mere nuisance, but she would be dealt with soon enough.

wink You should so try to knock the bow from Desirae's hands.

Slinging her jacket over her knees, Ace gulped down her tea in matter of seconds. No one would have guessed that the tea was near-scalding, burning a bitter pathway down her throat, but she welcomed the feeling. The pain and hot liquid relaxed the tight knot of hatered in her stomach that she harbored for the demon hovering beside her.
Types like her, the powerful ones that strung up everyone they came across like puppets and made them dance. As a soldier she had been one of those puppets...even as a general there had always been someone pulling her strings.
Never again.
"Never agian..."
(This is s**t...I'm sorry guys. I really don't mean to monologue but it's all Ace's got. I'm having problems with another moody character...he's being a block to everyone else.)

"I heard that, you know!" shouted Laura as she reappeared behind Tiberius. She'd show this woman just how powerful she really was! She quickly pulled back her staff as it began to glow with an unearthly light. She then brought it forward, magical sparks flying from it as it headed towards Tiberius' head.
Tiberius chuckled to himself as Laura made a crucial mistake. By speaking before attacking, she had warned him of her presence. With lightning-quick reflexes, Tiberius spun around, his laser swords swishing through the air. A look of sick pleasure crossed his face as he saw blood spatter across his vision. Paying no more attention to the sorceress, Tiberius quickly turned around to deal with the more dangerous threat.
Laura screamed with agony as Tiberius' laser swords sliced through her abdomen. She had not felt such pain in a long time. It felt like her insides could fall out at any moment, so she quickly clutched at her stomach. She hissed in pain at the touch of her own hand. Blood seeped between her fingers as Laura tried her best to stop the bleeding. This seemed impossible to her; her magical wards alone should have kept any sort of weapon at bay or at least from causing such a horrendous wound. Either her magic was weakening, which Laura highly doubted, or Tiberius' weapons were designed to pierce such magical shields. As she pondered it some more, Laura attempted to call upon some healing magic.

(Seeing as no-one has posted yet, I guess I'll do a monologue/dream sequence. razz )
Laura mumbled the words to a healing spell, but her voice slurred and she mispronounced the incantation. She felt herself getting dizzy and light-headed. It seemed that she was losing too much blood too fast. She tried to cast another spell, but she found herself unable to focus long enough. Her vision began to darken until everything faded to black.
* * * * *
Laura awoke in her comfortable bed within her cozy little home. She quickly clutched at her abdomen, but there was no wound. Had the whole experience been a dream? As she looked around her home, she immediately noticed the blood stains covering every single surface. It seems that this was the dream instead.
"Welcome back, my dear."
Laura jumped out of bed and inspected the room. She could see no-one within her home, but the voice sounded so familiar.
"I'm right here, my dear."
Laura whipped around, spotting the figure in the black robe who had haunted her dreams previously. He sat on the bed from which she had just risen. His skeletal hand reached out from the robe and beckoned for Laura to draw nearer.
"Leave me alone!" screamed Laura as she backed away. The figure ignored her and motioned for her to sit down beside him. She stepped back further before bolting towards the door. She nearly jumped out of her skin as she almost ran into the figure, who was now standing in front of her only exit.
"Do not worry; I only wish to talk... for now," the figure chuckled as he grasped Laura's hand tightly and dragged her to the table in the centre of the room. His bony hand was cold and it felt as though his touch was slowly sucking away at her life. Laura sighed with relief as the figure released her hand and motioned for her to sit down. Seeing no way out, she obliged his command.
"Who are you and what do you want with me?" asked Laura rudely. She was tired of this figure haunting her dreams and she wanted answers.
"You will have your answers in due time. Right now we have to deal with the matter of payment." Foggy breath wisped from beneath the hood that concealed the figure's face, sending chills down Laura's spine.
"What exactly is it that I am paying for?" asked Laura, afraid that she already knew the answer.
"As I mentioned during our last meeting, you must pay for all the lives you have taken. Each one died so that you could extend your own life. One's lifeforce is not something you can merely barter or exchange for."
"So what exactly am I supposed to do, return their lifeforce and hope I still have the receipt," mocked Laura.
"This is no laughing matter. Since I know you would never willingly give up your life and all the lifeforce you have taken, you must make amends instead. The universe strives for balance and as such so should you. For every person you have killed to feed your own lifeforce, you must save another. Put your life at risk to help others and prove that the lifeforce you took is being put to good use."
"This sounds so damn hokey," complained Laura. She was starting to feel like these dreams were merely occurring to irritate her and force good morals upon her.
"Don't take me seriously at your own risk. Ignore what I have said and our next meeting won't be so pleasant." The figure then snapped his bony fingers, which produced a harsh scraping noise, causing the world to go dark for Laura once more.

Special Monster (Seeing as no-one has posted yet, I guess I'll do a monologue/dream sequence. razz ) Sorry, 'bout that... sweatdrop Perhaps, Ace could suggest they run away while Gigantor's incapacitated? There is some honor in retreat... :T
