What? Brat? Who? How? Snot? Shut up?

"Yeah 'cause you're helpin'out so much wit'the useless questions!" West bellowed. "If'she could walk, Yaya'd be walkin' so'she... I dunneven know you! Why'my talkin'..." He waved his bat through the air in a gesture of dismissal, then sank to a seat several feet from the marid. It was an appropriate distance, he thought. There was no need to get all touchy-feely.

"Squid's were nothin'," West replied in a considerably lower voice, most of his attention clearly still on the boil he didn't know, even if he wasn't actually looking at Damien. "An'the ride'ere was... wet." He smirked a bit. "But somethin' happened t'you," he said, looking at her leg again. "I dun'ave anythin' t'wrappit up with." West turned to look up at Mr. Irritation, raising the volume again. "Do you?" Maybe this kid could prove to be useful after all.

He was pretty sure she was a fellow student. there was no cloak anywhere, plus she had the same pin as well, a sign that he could trust her. "Ah, yes I am, names Damien, its a pleasure to meet you Yaya." he said, giving her a small bow. She was in pain and they didn't have enough supplies to tend to her injury. Damn these boats and its waterlogged cargo. He turned back to the boil who came up and ticked him off. such an aggravating fellow.
"No, I just found her like this, the both of you came in from these haphazard shipwrecks huh?" Jack wasn't he just a charming boil. "Look, I don't have all the information about what happened here, came through the portal over there." he said as he jerked his thumb over to where the shining mass was spitting out student's at random moments. He narrowed his eyes at the red haired annoyance "But that can wait, your right, she needs a splint."

And everything he had was back on campus. just peachy. a scowl just plastered itself on his face as he tried to think of a way to makeshift one. "Hey, grumpy" He said while pointing at the taller boil. "Go make yourself useful, can you grab some sea water from the shore while I find a cloth to wrap her ankle with?" He really didn't want to be polite to him, but it was for someone else's well being.

Somehow, in some way, he was back on the beach, by the supplies test. Ren was not entirely certain as to how, or why, or even when he had gotten back. One minute he was standing with Gabrian, Alessa, LW, and Jove, the next he could feel wet sand beneath his feet. And the others were gone.

Gone. It made Ren unreasonably nervous, his grip on Jove's scarf tightening just the slightest bit. He was extremely glad he had at least someone here with him, and looking around at the blurred forms of the students milling around the supplies tent, Ren did not see anyone he knew. A few vague, familiar faces here and there, but no one he knew really well. He could feel Jove's fingers on the bandanna around his neck, tugging him in the direction of the tent, and Ren gave the younger boil a nod, following him deeper into the encampment.

"You're worried about your other friends, aren't you?" he asked, catching the expression on Jove's face. He gave the boil's shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "Come on, we can go find them; I know how hard it is to not know whether they're all right or not. Just lead the way, okay? I'll follow you. And let me know if you see anyone you know."

Jove seemed to relax slightly once they were back within clear sight of the huge bonfire, and the camp the students had all started from. Most had departed, taking the cloaked figure's words to heart and fleeing the area. The pup fretted, and once again tried to use his nose to find his way to someone familiar. But it was impossible here, there were too many scents, plus the overwhelming scent of ash and wood.

When Jove did finally see someone he knew, he almost passed her by. But then his ears perked. Was that Yaya lounging over there? The pup hadn't seen the djinn since boarding the boats, and was glad to see that she was all in one piece. So far. Not like that Christmas trip, where she may or may not have lost a unicorn tail.

The pup's tail wagged, it seemed quite like her, to be all calm and laid back in such a situation. He tugged Ren along behind him as he trotted towards Yaya, paying no heed to how the gryphon might struggle to keep up with his neck pulled down like that.

When Jove finally got close enough for any normal person to say hi, he realized things with Yaya were not as casual as he had thought. It looked like she was hurt! With a whine, the pup ran over and dropped to his knees in front of her, staring with big puppy eyes that just begged her to tell him what was wrong.

Brows sank over gently narrowing eyes as the two set into bickering. Full lips pursing as she glanced at first one then the other, like a slow tennis match, as they exchanged less then witty repartee. If they didn't know each other, why were they fighting like an old married couple? West wasn't the easiest boil to get along with, that was a fact, but so far as she could tell he hadn't said anything worth getting huffy about. Not that she found anything he said worth huffing about, but generally it took more then a casual jab to get a reaction from her peers.

And why had West plopped down so far away? Couldn't he see she was hurting here? Dark brows pinched as she frowned then smoothed again as the bickering paused and he indicated her leg. "Ya," she sighed, bending so she could gingerly touch the skin just beyond the dark bruise that circled her ankle. Even that hurt, and she hissed softly in pain, pulling her hand away. "I guess it must have happened when the rampaging minipet.. creations over took the bot and threw us off. I don't really remember though." To anyone that knew her really well, it wasn't hard to see the poor ghoul literally wilting. Being hurt was miserable, being separated from everyone lost on some stupid island was a kin to a layer of hell.

The peace was short lived though as the pair started back up. Not as obviously petty, but certainly not friendly. It made the ghoul sigh again, dark arms curling tightly around her abdomen. "Hey, don't fight. There's enough things to worry over then.." She trailed off as she remembered she had absolutely no clue why they were fighting. "Just don't fight." The volume of her voice had gotten progressively softer as she went on before being punctuated by another sigh.

The immediate and unexpected appearance of two large blue and very worried eyes made the djinn jump, once again startled, but recognition kicked in and she threw her arms around the younger boil, pulling him into an almost desperate hug. Tahnk jack he was safe! "Jove! I was so worried about about you."

"Hey, Jove - wait, wait - "

Apparently the boil had seen someone he knew, and, keeping ahold of Ren's scarf, had started towards a ghoul laying down a few yards away. Ren, attempting to keep from being half strangled and ducking down to keep up the pace with the puppy, vaguely recognized her as Yaya. He did not know her well; in fact, he did not know her at all, really, but he had seen her in classes several times, and it was obvious by the way Jove's eyes widened with concern that he knew her and was worried. Within a few seconds the boil had dropped his hand, running to the ghoul's side. Ren was not far behind, catching the relieved look on Yaya's face to see Jove again. He knelt by her side.

"Hey, Yaya," he said. "I don't know if you know me - I'm Ren; we've had a few classes together. I've been trying to keep a good eye on Jove here;" - here he put a gentle hand on the top of Jove's head briefly before dropping it. "He's been with me, for the most part, but I know he's been worried about his friends, so I'm glad he's found you."

His gaze traveled down the length of the ghoul's body, drawn to the rather large, purplish bruise on her leg. Ren winced, reaching out a hand to let his fingers hover above it; he did not want to insult or upset her by touching her without asking. "That looks pretty bad," he said, his brows drawing together in concern. "I, er..."

Ren glanced around, as if looking for something to help her with. Then he lifted a hand, as if to say aha, and untied the bandanna from around his neck, holding it out to the ghoul. "Do you think this might help?" he asked, gesturing to Yaya's leg. "I mean, it probably won't do much, but maybe if we wrap it, it'll keep it from getting worse."

Bombarded from what felt like all sides, even though it was only two, West jolted to his feet without another word and stormed off, before realizing he had no container with which to collect the water Damien had requested. "Go grab some seawater," he muttered mockingly under his breath. "Don't fight." He hadn't even done anything to stir up anyone's ire this time! And people wondered why he was angry. Admittedly, this wasn't the reason, but it was as good an excuse as any.

A small portion of his frustration was suddenly refocused as he remembered the supply table and the empty first aid kits there. Doubling back, he retrieved one, filled it with ocean water, then brought it back to their swiftly growing group. It seemed this new kid had a bandanna. Good. He was under no obligation to stick around now. West set the water at Yaya's side, then straightened and crossed his arms over his chest, eying the newcomers with his usual mild hostility.

((For the sake everyones sanity, I shall be labeling my posts when both my babies are in the same place.))

Seiji

It was surprisingly easy making it back to the beach, a lot easier then it'd been trying to get to Junko when she was attacked, and that had the ghost boil scowling at the surrounding fog. It didn't seem to care.

A flicker of hazy orange and the dark outlines of gathered bodies showed the location of the fire, and Seiji hoisted the ghoul in his arms a little high, chin rubbing fondly against the top of her head, as he made his way for it. Glancing down every now and then to make sure Momo was still beside him. It was amazing how quickly he'd gotten attached to the young kitsune. They'd only met a sparse few times and he was already fairly protective over her. Then again, the same could be said for Jove.

And speaking of the pup, wasn't that him being yanked into a hug by Junko's friend, Yaya? He squinted, brows dipping, then let out a shaky laugh in relief. "Hey Jove! Glad to see you're ok, I was worr.. Are you ok Yaya?" They might not be super close, but considering the futakuchi-onna was damn near attached to the djinn's hip it was hard to develop feelings of fondness for the other ghoul.

What was with all the girls getting hurt? He held Junko a little tighter to him before glancing down at her with weary little smile. Trudging forward towards the fire to take a seat on Yaya's free side with his ghoul cuddled safely in his lap. He then held a hand up to momo to give her a little tug down beside him on the other side.

Of the three other boils with Yaya, Seiji only recognized one, and he offered West a guy wave before doing the same to the hellhound and the gryphan that'd been standing behind Jove. "Yo." And with introductions complete he was free to turn his attention down to Junko's bleeding arm. Carefully pulling her fingers away from the slice so he could look it over.

"Mrrrf!" Jove made a little noise as he was pulled into a hug, being yanked off balance and falling face-first into Yaya's chest. Apparently she could be fast even though she wasn injured, Jove had no chance to react to the grab. Instead of trying to pull away he just whined and whined more in relief than protestation. So she was hurt, but still okay.

When he heard another familiar voice his ears perked, and he pulled himself out of Yaya's grip to see Seiji plunking himself down right next to her. And Junko was with him! The pup's tail wagged a few times in a relieved greeting, everyone seemed to have all their limbs intact. Although... when had Junko cut her hair? She didn't look good, had they run into trouble?

With another whine he pointedly glanced at Yaya's ankle, and then the bandanna Ren was offering, and then back to the ankle. "Make it better," his eyes pleaded when he looked back up in Ren's direction. The pup didn't seem to notice West's nasty glare or the other fluffy eared boil, he was too focused on the injuries of his friends.

A squid attack and multiple shipwrecks. "Wait, you were attack by a squid, just what kinda trip were the faculty running here, was it like that for all of you?" he couldn't help but feel concerned, one day he may be in the same situation like that as well, completely forgetting that the same thing was happening right now.

Didn't realize that it took and person who rubbed him the wrong way to make him act so childish. The embarrassment that Demi was feeling from being scolded showed on his face, like a tap on the nose. Color flushed his cheeks as he looked to the ground in a mild amount of shame. "Sorry, didn't mean to get you upset." Yaya had enough to deal with that to hear two hotheads argue.

If he wasn't already looking, he would have missed it because it happened so fast, there was a little puff ball launching itself toward the injured ghoul.
At least the little puff was able to keep her spirits up. There was also another person accompanied by the pup, and even had something to wrap it with, better than him ripping off a piece of his vest.

The boil came back and dropped off the container of water and nodded towards him "Thanks." it was short and polite, should be good enough for the boil. Taking a spare piece of cloth from his pocket , he soaked the cloth with the water and offered it to Yaya. "It might do some good to wash the area before wrapping it, who knows what could be on this place." it was always better to be safe than sorry.

everybody was coming out of the woodworks as there was another boil coming out of the trail. Seemed like a polite guy, so he gave a little wave back,

Junko checked to make sure Tomoko was following them every now and then, but other than that she was completely silent and was clearly not there. She wanted to go home and hide in her room forever. If people wanted to be with her they could come to her room; she was never leaving again. If it weren't for the occasional sniffle and her wiping at her eyes, or the shake of her shoulders as she tried desperately not to cry again, or a hand reaching back to touch her hair as if to check if what had happened had been a horrible nightmare or not. Every time she was reminded it was a reality she nearly broke down into sobs again. Almost! Almoooost. She managed to hold them back for now.

Jove? Yaya?! Oh, Jack! Not Yaya and Jove! No! Nonono! It was bad enough Seiji and Yaya and Elaphe had to see her like this! Not anyone else! No please! The ghoul's unhappiness over this turn of events would be clear to Seiji as she seemed to squirm in his arms much like a displeased animal, doing everything she could to put distance between her dear friends and herself just short of actually climbing onto his shoulders or something, whimpering all the while. Nononono! Her hands flew to her head and she buried her face into Seiji's chest again, curling up against him on his lap and biting down on her lip. Why?! Why did Seiji bring her back to the bonfire where everyone was at, apparently? West, Yaya, Jove, new students, students she'd seen around before..ugh!

When Seiji checked her arm the cut would no longer be bleeding, though the cut was still clearly there. She didn't seem bothered by it anymore; her priority would always be her hair. She didn't speak. She didn't want to talk to anyone. Maybe if she stayed quiet and didn't move she'd be invisible and no one would have to notice her and her disgustingly short hair.

Yaya

After another tight squeeze Yaya released the pup so he could go to Seiji and Junko, the ghost earning himself a smile and a nod, while she in turn looked up to Ren with a grateful smile. "Thank you for sticking with him." Oh she knew Ren alright. Not well perhaps, but she had very vivid memories of him, LW, and Natalia making out in the woods. Ah, that had been a fun evening.. Not so much like now. When he reached out for her leg she cringed automatically but calmed when she realized he wasn't going to touch it, shoulders rounding. "I think it might be broken."

Wests return to hr side brought a certain measure of comfort to the djinn and she glanced up at him as he set the water down beside her, then leaned to the side so her shoulder rested against the side of his leg. Arm looping automatically around an ankle. It wasn't really a conscious thing on her part, just a natural reaction to his proximity.

As Ren offered her his bandanna she blinked, dark brows twitching upward as she took the bit of fabric, smiling in appreciation. "That's very sweet of you, thank you." Perhaps she should make the effort to get to know him better, he seemed very nice.

Holding the cloth to her chest, the djinn half listened as Damien suggested she wash her ankle before they do anything more for it, attention wandering over to Junko after realizing the ghoul hadn't said one word since arriving, and getting a good look at her hair Yaya knew way. She nodded absently to the hellhound as brows pinched in concern. "Oh Junko.. Sweety I'm so sorry." It didn't look bad, but she knew how much the other ghoul adored her hair. "You're not hurt though, are you?"

So many things happening at once, it was hard to keep track of it all, but her concern for her best friend's well being held a certain level of priority.

If Junko continued to be fussy about her hair, Tomoko may have been sent to dramatic measures. Either way, Elaphe had wiggled his way free of the kitsune during the few steps between where they'd all met up and where they were now. However, the futakuchi-onna was being rather quiet, Tomoko settling in next to the fire for the patch-up and frowning.

The more distressed that Junko acted, the more it reflected onto Tomoko, who pulled her worry-blanket out of her bag (RE: Ball of stars) and stroking her hand over it paranoidly. Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man. She likely would have reacted in a similar manner if she'd lost her ball of stars though.

Then again, Junko's response to her cut hair was causing Tomoko to want to do some dramatic stuff herself. Really-really-really dramatic stuff.

Though she wasn't sure if she wanted to cut all of her hair off.

However, Tomoko did scoot up next to Junko and place the ball of stars in the girl's lap. Clearly her logic was 'IF IT WORKS FOR ME, IT'LL WORK FOR YOU'. Or something like that. From there, the Kitsune just looked at her friend with big eyes... she then looked to Seiji.

"i-It doesn't look that bad..." she commented, looking for reassurance on her view of the matter.

His extremely brief walk having leeched some of the pissiness from him, West only nodded in response to the dog boil's apology and thanks rather than throwing more snark at him. Seiji got a nod as well, this one more curious than stoic. Was that... Junko he was carrying? He almost didn't recognize her without the writhiness, let alone the shortened state of her hair in general. He also had no idea she had a boilfriend. Interesting. Definitely something to be filed away for later.

"Yeah, dunnbe sorry," he said to Yaya, his tone surprisingly neutral. "Sh'does look better this way. An' I bet She's pissed." It was clear he wasn't talking about the ghoul herself, but the strange creature that West was still convinced lived in Junko's hair rather than was a part of her.

West fidgeted a little as the djinn wrapped herself around him, but otherwise remained still. For the moment, he was warm and dry and he was going to enjoy it while it lasted.

Ren did not recognize the two boils already by Yaya's side. One was a surly looking redhead, the other a dark haired boil with pointed ears that seemed as if he could perhaps be a dog of some sort. As for the two others that appeared, Ren recognized Junko; the ghoul was often seen by Yaya's side, and was in several of his classes, though she looked noticeably different this time, for some reason. It took Ren a few moments of blinking to realize that it was her hair; the ghoul's dark locks had been cut clean off, sliced just above her shoulders.

The poor thing, Ren thought, glancing at the boil whose lap he was sitting in - yet another one he did not recognize. And now Jove was looking up at Ren with a baleful expression in those enormous glowing eyes of his; that same look that made it difficult to refuse anything to him. Reaching out, he tousled the boy's hair lightly.

"It's okay, Freckles," he said. "It's okay, she'll be fine; look, we'll all help her, right?"

Turning back to Yaya, Ren gave her an easy smile. "It was no trouble," he said. "He's a good kid; I enjoy his company greatly, and he's done me a lot of good lately."

His eyes moved to the puppy, and Ren's gaze softened unintentionally. Jackdammit if he wasn't already outrageously attached to Jove. "He's a darling," he said to Yaya, low enough for only her to hear, so as to not earn a stubborn scowl from Jove in the process. "I do rather adore him."

"And you're welcome," he added, looking at the bandanna first, then at Yaya's leg. "I'd hate to see any of Jove's friends in pain. Actually, I'd hate to see anyone in pain, and you look like it hurts quite a bit."

It was quite nasty looking, that bruise. Ren gestured for the boil holding the damp cloth [Demi] to hand it to him. "Here," he said, taking it lightly from his fingers. "You're right, washing first, then wrapping."

Moving down, Ren knelt beside Yaya's leg. He glanced up at the ghoul's face. "This might hurt a bit," he said, looking at her with concern. "You might want to hold onto something. Or someone," he amended, with a glance up at the redhead. He took the bandanna from her fingers, holding it in between his teeth. "It's necessary, though, but I'm sorry."

After waiting for the ghoul to get situated, Ren settled down more, getting into position. Gripping Yaya's bare foot, Ren pressed the cloth to her swollen ankle, firmly wiping, though trying not to cause unnecessary pain. Once he was finished, he handed the cloth back to Demi and took the bandanna, wrapping it securely around Yaya's ankle. Once finished, he sat back, fingers light and nimble on the ghoul's leg.

"How's that?" he asked her carefully. "Any better?"
