Kiara walked up to the tavern and paused briefly at the doors to get a better look at the carvings then continued inside. She stepped through the doorway and saw that there were quite a few people inside. Aside from her cat like ears Kiara, like most of the others here, appeared fairly human. She took a seat near the bar and glanced around the room, wanting to observe for the time being.

It had been far too long since the last time he was here. His was an old face to the Haven...albeit a quite possibly long forgotten one. Time imessurable had passed since his last visit and he wondered what was new here and what had happened in his absence. Passing through the barrier of the semi-sentinent castle and over the drawbridge, the wandering stranger-yet-not-stranger entered into the parade grounds before making his way through them and into the inner courtyard. Stopping momentarily to gather up what memories he had of this place, in part to make sure he still knew where everything was and to make sure he mapped anything new into his memories, the wanderer then turned passed the inner courtyard and past the main part of the castle before heading over to the tavern/inn he knew to be there. At least, he hoped it was still there. He kept his aura at an acceptable level, high enough to prompt curiosity yet low enough as to not cause alarm. Granted, he had enough power to lay waste to this place and still have plenty left over, the wanderer was a longtime standing friend of the owner and his family.

Walking in the general direction he remembered the tavern/inn to be, the wanderer kept to a steady and measured pace while his weapons of choice jingled and chimed in their sheaths. A sort of noise that was meant to calm nerves yet make others realize he was no easy target simply because he did not actually carry his weapons in hand. He was just as deadly in unarmed combat...actually, moreso...as he was in armed combat.

Upon reaching the front door of the tavern/inn, the wanderer reached out and pushed open the door to let himself in. Stepping inside and gently closing it behind him, the wanderer then turned his attention to the people inside and recognized most of the faces while seeing some new ones he'd not seen since he was here the last time. Although, that was a while back, so it would stand to reason that new people would have come here since then. Taking himself over to an empty table nestled in a corner, the wanderer then continued to watch and wait...seeing if any of the old faces recognized him.

Lilith had finished a few drinks while she waited. The blood was rich and satisfying, it was far better than what was offered in the vampire lair. She needed to speak with Arrea about investing in some new livestock, the current ones were close to expiring. She had been too greedy with her feeding, a dark red line coating her lips. She politely reached for a napkin on the bar and dabbed it against the corners of her mouth while she situated herself into a more comfortable position. She moved to sit sideways, resting her elbow upon the edge of the counter, and crossed her legs.

It seemed everyone here was either absorbed into conversation with old friends or simply observing like she had been. She found herself wondering if they also had the same task as her; to search for someone or possibly something within the Haven. Lilith heard a tapping noise from the stairway, the clicking seemed to belong to someone obviously concerned with fashion. Most females preferred high heeled boots or stilettos now-a-days, herself included. She brought her gaze to the source of the noise and was greeted with the sight of a magnificent woman. She had a beauty that most could only dream of, it made Lilith rather envious. The woman held a quality of royalty, at least from Lilith's perception, she had the sense of order and chaos, death and life, as well as light and shadows. The woman seemed to be everything all at once. Perhaps it was simply an enchantment from her beauty but Lilith found herself star struck.

She felt she wasn't capable of controlling herself, she moved from her ambiguous position at the bar to the open. She was pulled forward by some unknown force, the woman had to be unaware of this gravitational sensation she possessed. Lilith had never question her sexuality but she found herself wondering if she was playing for the wrong side. Before she knew where she was, she stood before the woman. She brought one of her arms to her chest and bent forward slightly to show her respects. "Greetings, madam. I am Lilith. I couldn't help but notice you from across the room and I found myself enchanted by you. May I ask your name? I apologize if you are famous within this area but I spend most of my time in the shadows. I was drawn from the darkness by your astounding radiance, a brilliant light to which I had to investigate." She smiled at her as she rose from her position, Lilith normally didn't express her emotions but this woman had a way of drawing them out from her.

Sanguine's mouth formed a small "o" of surprise. She was no longer accustomed to formal treatment. Hers had become a casual lifestyle, but the newcomer's old world charm fit like a glove. Lacking the proper attire with which to curtsy, she settled for a demure tip of her hat.
"Your flattery is enchanting," Sanguine replied with a soft smile. "My name is Sanguine Fleur, and I am mistress of this fine establishment whose hospitality I sincerely hope you have been enjoying. Where is it you call home, my dear?"

Lilith felt her world crashing down around her. She felt rather foolish, she could almost feel the heat creeping up from a blush but of course she wasn't able to do so. The loving embrace of emotions she felt came to a screeching halt as she realized to whom she was speaking. She would have dreams of Sanguine for years to come, this school girl crush would be difficult to shake. She was in a sense flabbergasted, finding her words among all of the inner confusion was difficult.

She began to rub the material of her outfit with her fingers as she tried to regain her composure. "I-I apologize. I was not aware you were the mistress of the castle, your beauty is far too dazzling for you to be a commoner such as myself; I should have guessed you belonged to a house of nobility." A little pang of remorse washed over her, it meant she was taken by Soddus. Lilith frowned a bit as she slowly made the transition into business mode. "I hale from the vampire lair, madam. I am Empress Arrea's assistant, I normally do not expose myself to others but she requested I come here to meet with you or Soddus about a private matter. She also sends her deepest apologies for not being able to come in person, she's having to take care of something of utmost importance."

Glancing down at the hands of the man with long, black hair as he barely touched her necklace, his question was heard, but her eyes were in deep thought. There was a momentary feeling of malice before she discarded her thoughts and gazed back at the man, noticing that he looked at her straight in the eyes. Is that what humans call confidence? Or is it a sign of respect and acknowledgement...? she wondered. Not many have ever met her eyes after all. They either pretended to, but was really staring at her nose, or they merely stared down as they spoke to her. Realizing that she must have kept them waiting with her silence, she decided to answer him. "A corrupted human can still have a heart like a demon; everyone already at least knows that side of the world. But the inferences on what this necklace says is not easily spoken to in front of two strangers I have just met." Blunt and to the point; her way of speaking her mind has always caused other's to mistaken it as being cold towards them.

The brief bow of his head did not hide Incinerator’s warm smile. “I understand.”
He had silently taken note of her discomfort and confusion. A lovely young lady unaccustomed to a man’s attentions? Surely not. Humor shone behind his eyes as though she had done something interesting, not unlike an exotic breed of animal, or perhaps a new flavor to try.
"Tell me," he continued, voice barely a whisper, confident their bodies were close enough for her to overhear. "Can you see into my heart of hearts? Do I possess the heart of a demon?"
He clutched dramatically at his chest, head thrown back, exposing the long pale line of his bare throat as he laughed playfully. His head slowly fell forward, dark hair fanned out like a veil, mouth graced with a serpent's grin.

Sanguine was mildly troubled by Lilith's duress. Nerves, perhaps? She laid a hand on her shoulder. "Your concerns are great, but this is a peaceful place. You have nothing to fear from me, I assure you."
Considering her point met, she allowed her hand to drop.
"I regret to admit no familiarity with the empress Arrea. My knowledge of matters concerning the outside world is limited to the news received within my haven, which has become perhaps a weakness of mine. News of this lair is new to me, but I would be more than happy to meet with you concerning the private matters of your empress. Absence due to caring for the concerns of her kingdom is certainly not cause for apology. Shall we?"
She extended a sweeping hand over the surrounding tavern before walking swiftly down the steps toward the fireplace. Its surrounding seating was most comfortable, after all.
She took a large, heavily cushioned seat beside the fireplace, relishing in its warm glow. The chair was also, of course, red.

Walking down the stairs, after speaking with Keto his nephew, Soddus had gone to his chambers to rest. Stopping on the landing Soddus looked out over his home, crimson orbs taking everything in. He watched his son Seraph behind the bar in nothing but blue silk boxers, seeing this Soddus sighed. “Children…” he muttered as he continued to scan the room. His gaze fell on Sanguine, his love, and someone he did not know. Wondering what was going on Soddus started towards them, descending the last of stairs.

Soddus came up in plain view of Sanguine and the mystery woman; he wore the gauntlets and knee high armored boots of his armor as well as his black and crimson cloak. Besides this he wore a black silk Victorian style shirt with matching black leather pants tucked into his boots. His jet black hair, with crimson streaks, was just above shoulder length and loose. But what stood out the most about Soddus Forsworn were the two black and crimson dragonic wings that were folded against his back, they were no where near small enough to be hidden. They easily had a wingspan of twenty feet; he simply had them folded so they were out of the way. A smirk played at his lips as he moved towards Sanguine, his arms open to hug her. “I am sorry I missed you my beautiful crimson flower,” Soddus said, his voice soft and warm. “May I ask who this is in your company?”

Lilith felt a jolt of arousal as Sanguine placed her hand upon her shoulder. She cursed to herself, she had just gotten control over her thoughts again and now this. She shook her head slightly, her long, golden locks of blonde hair brushing against the bare skin of her back as she did so. "It is not a weakness to see that your home is kept secure. News of the outside world is irrelevant should it not concern you or your kingdom." She looked at everything in black and white, very rarely taking the time to analyze anything. "I assure you though, the matters I wish to speak of are not irrelevant." Lilith followed Sanguine towards the seating area next to the hearth. She had to admit it was very cozy and warm, a different setting then the environment Arrea had constructed. The tavern felt very homey and it showed on the faces of every patron.

Lilith noticed a man approaching them, she wasn't sure what to make of him until he was close enough for her to touch. He spoke fondly to Sanguine, she came to the conclusion that this was the owner of the castle, Soddus Forsworn. He was a pure golden, sex god if she had ever seen one. She wanted to fall backward in one of those comedic ways that also held sarcastic undertones. Apparently everyone in the Forsworn family was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. At this point a slap in the face couldn't keep her thoughts straight. Lilith knew the fluctuation could be sensed by Arrea. She was telepathically chastised for her childish actions. "Sir Soddus," Lilith bowed in the same manner she had shown Sanguine, "I am Lilith. I hale from the Vampire Lair and I've come to speak with you on behalf of my empress, Arrea. Would it be possible to discuss this matter?"

Natania was slightly taken back at the response she was given. Never before has anyone ever playfully laughed at any comment she makes. She blinked in confusion, not knowing whether she should answer him with her opinions, or to disregard it as a joke. "You are very strange. Are you self declaring that you have a heart that is similar to a demon?" She questioned as she took notice of his snake-like grin.

Soddus smiled at Lilith and bowed respectfully, he however did not bow as low as she did. He was after all the Astral Dragon Lord. “I am more than happy to discuss any matters your empress has. Give her my greetings next you see her,” Soddus said as he motioned for her to sit again. Soddus then moved towards the fireplace, crimson eyes watching the flames as he began to speak again, “What is it I can offer your empress? I doubt she would need protection. I am however more than happy to forge an alliance with her, after all one can not be too careful in these times.”

Turning to face Lilith, his crimson eyes watching her for anything she might give him. “The vampire lair is underground near this castle is it not? I am sure the labyrinth of caverns and tunnels under the Abysmal Haven run throughout the lands; they must connect with the Vampire Lair. If they do not then we shall connect them to so that your empress and her people may travel into our lands without having to worry about the sun,” Soddus said, wondering if this would be acceptable for the vampire empress Arrea. Soddus did not need anything from the vampires. His castle and the surrounding lands were to be a safe haven for all races, so getting help with keeping it that way would be welcome.

"In this world, my dear, isn't safe for a pretty young thing to approach strange men without knowing whose hearts of hearts want nothing better than to make trouble," he replied in a chastising manner. "The line between the nice guys and the bad guys isn't clear as you might believe." He strongly considered circling her, not unlike a curious shark, but the depiction was a tad close for his comfort or hers. A shark uses its teeth, after all, to investigate further.
Incinerator would exercise patience before resorting to measures of that sort.

Lilith waited for Soddus to signal that she could move freely again, it was only standard procedures when dealing with those of 'royalty.' Once he motion towards the seating arrangements she nodded and gently placed herself on the comfortable cushions. She crossed her legs and placed her hands in her lap, attempting to mimic Arrea's acceptable, political positions. "I'm sure there's not much we can offer you and we are content with what we currently have, so I don't not believe you can offer us anything of monetary value." She pursed her lips, unsure of how to continue without offending him. "You are correct in assuming we do not need protection, we have ensured our borders are well guarded at all times. You are also correct in the matter of an alliance. I understand the haven is meant to remain neutral to all races, so it's not a matter of an aggressive contract."

Her hair fell infront of her eyes, she took a moment to brush it behind her ears so that she could continue to maintain proper eye contact with Soddus. "You have very accurate information," she complimented, "The lair is indeed underground and very close to this castle. The caverns spread through the entire land and we have done our best to seal them off from unwanted guests. I wouldn't be surprised if the our underground tunnels connected with yours in multiple places. We have discovered a sealed door that leads to your castle, it is a back entrance of sorts. We would be able to commute in sunlight and meet with diplomats of other races to speak in a proper environment if you agreed to allow us access to it." Lilith hoped she could bring good news back to her mistress. "We wish to maintain peace and understanding within the underground and this would help a great deal."

Natania could not help but remember a time when she had been similarly scolded for going into the world of humans. Of course the tone in which the man used, she felt as if he was slightly mocking her. Mockery was not something she was unfamiliar with, however and found no reason to feel any offense or anger towards it. Such feelings should only be unleashed to hateful beings like them she thought bitterly. "You're mistaken," she replied rather simply. "Everyone has some form of corruption in their hearts; that is not what I find strange. Not many would openly admit it. You suggested the idea of humans and demons co-existing, not humans and angels, or celestial beings. I think that was already evidence enough where your heart of heart lies." Natania paused momentarily, not used to replying so much to someone and wondered if she should continue. If these two men already know what kind of heart they have, then is there really any need for her to repeat it? But whether good or bad, they all have different choices for their own paths. I seem to only have one Natania suddenly turned slightly envious of the man in front of her.
