“ Yes, peppers.” She said crossly. “ I have to fight with peppers because that’s how my magic manifests itself: as peppers.”

It was stupid; Pomona had thought that from day one. It was stupid, but it was real, so Pomona had to work with it. If that civilian thought it was crazy, well, welcome to her world.

“ Oh come on!” She cried in disbelief as her coin fringe suddenly ripped from her outfit. As much as she complained about them, she was rather fond of those shiny bits.

Glad for the presence of Kurma, despite his alien aura, Perseus nodded at him. It was a battlefield greeting, a polite acknowledgement of his presence there. "I noticed that as well." Multitudes of senshi attacks, and several of the eternal and super senshi had been using their attacks as well. The Negaverse, as well, seemed to be throwing everything they had at the witch.

Which lead her to two conclusions. Firstly, that this was a threat not concocted by them, and it wasn't concocted by the senshi either. This meant that it was an outside threat...possibly outside the earth. Secondly, she realized that Kurma also, did not seem to be of this earth, at least not in knowledge. Perhaps the ice b***h was in his domain. She watched with ice blue eyes as the queen fretted over the crack in her cheek. "I don't suppose that you know anything about her Kurma? I don't think she came from the earth." Any information would be helpful.

A bit halfheartedly, she picked up a snowball and chucked it in her direction. Perseus was not about to get her lips anywhere near the woman, save in a dire last resort. They would probably freeze to her face, and she did not feel like dealing with that. Nor did she feel like getting run through with an icicle.

This was far too important to converse with others... teamwork might be a good thing here, but to her she wanted to do this solo..for now.

She did not want to turn into a fayascicle, she did not think icy tones went well with her outfit... oh and frost bite had to suck.

Her attack was not that effective, but it seemed they were making a dent. She shivered as the cold seemed to intensify, grateful that she has her coat and only wishing it was polar fleece in the lining. Weapon still in hand she still wacked at anything icey she could find, pausing a moment as she saw a familiar dot of blue/purple/short combo. Her 'boss' seemed to be risking being close to the throne... did he find something important?

She figured that if he needed her he would spot her, she wasn't exactly being discrete. Fayalite eek'd rather girlishly as a ice shard flew at her, only to dodge.

She clenched her fine-boned hands into fists as the Negaverse scum approached her, a nasty snarl curling her lips--but his hands were up and Gunn had never had the very best of judgement. And he made a good point there, with the snowglobes; now that she looked, they did seem to be glowing with some kind of gathering light.

"I need fire," she said to herself; she didn't have a lighter, didn't have matches--but she needed fire to help the scum. To the blue-haired Negaverser, she said, "I need fire. Give me a moment before you throw that thing!" Enemy of her enemy as her friend? Okay. Ares wouldn't approve but Ares would never have to know, would she? She was Inner Sanctum. She was powerful. She could make her own decisions.

There! An anonymous civilian, scrambling to leave--in his hand, a lighter, in the other, a cigarette. "Be right back," she said to the Negaverser. A few steps placed her between the civilian and exit, her imperious gaze stopping the man dead in his tracks. A few threats gained her his lighter; what was with with Destiny City and Zippo lighters, she wondered, but like she should complain! She flicked it open and threw it towards the throne with a single smooth motion. "Gunn Wildfire Propagation!" The lighter was consumed in a small explosion as it careened towards the Ice Queen's snowglobe throne.

And now the she-terrorist was getting sassy with him! How rude! First she and her cohorts cause trouble in Destiny City, disrupting his completely normal life, then they all jump out of nowhere to fight this thing when none of them had been there before -- which meant it could only be their doing -- and now she spoke to him as if she couldn't believe why he would question her.

There were so many things wrong with this entire situation.

"Why don't you use something more useful?!" he screeched. "Like fire?! Or a heat wave?! Or freaking lava?!" Something that would melt the damned thing. Although, he thought he'd seen some fire coming from somewhere, and it didn't seem to be doing any better than all the rest.

But that... that wasn't the point!

"You're all useless!" Paris shouted. Of course, he wasn't any better, but he'd never claimed to be. These guys had magic, as he'd been sure to point out; they should be able to do amazing things that he, a mere civilian, couldn't even fathom.

Instead, he got some girl who fought with peppers. Peppers!

"Well, you're right on that, I think," Kurma replied, ponderously crossing his arms. He lifted his legs up and sat in midair in the lotus position, the orb allowed to dangle from its rope underneath him as he peered at the wintery abomination. "It's not from around here, not by a long shot. Also, it's made of ice."

Almost as if that was worth pointing out.

He nearly drifted into another one of his silences -- and it was oddly sudden when he finally said, "You know what this cold reminds me of?"

This was impossible. Ridiculous! All around were people who had transformed, throwing attacks around willy-nilly - and as far as Maris could tell, it wasn't even putting a dent in that smug glassy face. A manipulative b***h this 'princess' may be, but she had power...

... much more power than the so-called 'saviors' did.

Maris slipped behind a decorated tree that someone had smacked into, causing it to lean at a semi-alarming tilt. She fumbled in her bag for the henshin pen, her anger deepening as her fingers brushed the paper that had held the snowglobe in her bag.

"Adhafera Power, Make Up!"

The surge of power enveloped her, burned away some of the fear and feelings of helplessness - but she held on hard to cold anger. She could use that. All she could hope for, in the chaos, was to direct her single power at the throned figure. With all the random attacks being thrown at the 'princess', surely a moment in which she was held immobile would subject her to greater damage.

Even if it was, apparently, a drop in the bucket.

Sailor Adhafera elbowed her way through the crowd, ducking sizzling bolts of who-knows-what and slipping past people with the most absurd 'weaponry' she'd ever seen. Once she thought she was in range, she clapped her hands and drew forth her binding cord.

She fixed her gaze on the 'princess'. "Adhafera Bind!" she shouted as her fingers flew, tying a tight knot in the binding cord. With any luck, this would render this 'princess' more susceptible to the attacks already being thrown at her.

Yes, it was indeed made of ice. Turning slightly towards Kurma, she attempted to keep an eye on both him and the battle. When he spoke again, it was difficult to hear his voice above the roar of the wind and snow that had found its epicenter in the ice queen. The sailor moved closer, just managing to make out his question. So this was something that he didn't know personally, but it reminded him of something?

Perseus knew the man tended to be cryptic, so she wasn't sure if that was his intention or not. "I do not- enlighten me?" She was hoping for some real enlightenment, a battle plan, a weakness. Even an origin would be nice, but she didn't hope for much. Space was a constant enigma for the girl, something she couldn't quite wrap her mind around; the enormity was staggering for her. Even so, she turned her eyes completely away from the blue queen and planted them on Kurma, staring intently. Anything he had to say was worth listening to.

“ Because I’m not the Senshi of Lava, I’m the Senshi of Peppers.”

Whatever. She’d hadn’t actually expected the civilian to understand. When she had still been a simple, naïve civilian, she too had thought magic would entail lightning bolts and earthquakes. She had been most disappointed to discover that magic was much less glamorous then she had expected.

Wanting to save her peppers for later – she had not idea how many times she’d be able to use her attack – she began rolling dirty snowballs packed with rocks and dirt.

Cursing as his attacks were rendered useless he clutched his fingers around the lantern's handle and tried not to shiver. The wind was bitter cold and seemed to be getting colder by the moment. Nothing anyone was doing seemed to be hurting the ice woman.

Who was this woman and what happened to their promised ... the snow globes! His eyes fell on the woman's throne and the fountain. Under the layers of ice were the things that had captured his attention for the last few days.

She wouldn't be able to come if they were all under the ice would she?

Tying his lantern to the cord around his waist he vaulted off his rooftop hiding spot and down onto a balcony. Another jump, a bad landing, and a slipping fall down onto the snow got him on the ground though not without a stinging bruise to his already frozen legs.

Pulling himself up he headed toward the fountain and the snow globes trapped under the ice. Along the way his fingers scratching through snow piles for something, anything, use as a weapon. His hand came away with a rock, probably a piece of paving stone, and he clutched it as he tried to stay out of the ice woman's sight. His lantern was useless for a while and the rock would be his only salvation.

"If you travel far enough, and reach the edge of this galaxy," Kurma began, ponderous in his tone, "or even one of those more sparsely-populated parts of it... well, needless to say, it gets pretty dark. There's not as many stars around as you see around here."

He uncrossed his arms and rested them on his knees, a breath issuing out in a long plume of mist. You'd think that spending all your time out in space meant you didn't have to breathe, but maybe he was just doing it because he felt like it. "Those are the more lifeless parts of the galaxy... very still, very quiet, and very cold. The kind of cold you'd find out there -- it seems like this one possesses that same coldness within."

“Tch.” Zephyr said to the turn of events. A simple observation of the situation would prove their efforts futile, and lacking. To face off an enemy that they had no information or knowledge on, with little more than throwing random attacks wasn’t going to get them far. And while the senshi and negaverse were working together, they weren't exactly what you would call harmonious comrades. Not that Zephyr was interested in working with them at any rate, if only to the disappointment to the young girl who had tried to shout above the crowds.

As to the intense cold that permeated down to his bones, Sailor Zephyr found himself affected. It was difficult for his body to suddenly accustom itself to the sudden chance of weather, but thankfully, Zephyr’s senshi outfit was suited for these conditions.

Zephyr recognized several people, the same people who had made an appearance at the Halloween ball as well as Algol, Aeria, and Hestia. If it weren’t for these circumstances, he would probably be interested in hearing Algol and Hestia’s interpretation of this turn of events. Unfortunately, hail, and other magical attacks didn’t make for conversational circumstances.

A wry smile pulled at the corners of Zephyr's lips, seeing Gunn's attack. It figured that she would be here. He put aside any feelings that he held against the young senshi, taking the effort to focus his gaze elsewhere in the chaos.

As he was a close distance near Kurma, it wasn't odd to say that the sight of a floating male caught his eye. But a sudden icicle protruding from the ground had him jumping back, his feet sliding on the ice-ridden ground even closer to Kurma and Perseus.

And he had overheard the last part. "As if life was devoid itself. How do you defeat that?" He asked flatly, not knowing either conversationalists but was interested all the same.

Denebola wasn't a fan of how the whole situation was unfolding, it was cold and her attacks were useless unless she could get in close to the ice princess. She hated this, as a senshi she was freezing more than when she had been a human. Besides being henshied up was starting to take it's toll on her, but then again there were so many negaverse agents that she probably couldn't risk it.

She sighed, sucked in a breath, scrambled out from behind her tree haven and darted forward. It was freezing where she was but perhaps the closer she got to the ice monster the less the cold would effect her. Or at least she'd have more of a chance to do some damage.

It was then that it occurred to her that the snow globes could help them. The collective power of the snow globes had brought the witch to them maybe getting rid of them would do them all some good. As she ran forward she grabbed an icicle off the ground and launched it.

"So this is subzero cold then." The glare of Gunn's fire attack caught her eye, watching as the Molotov cocktail hurtled towards the woman on her homemade thrown. She knew the fire wouldn't do much to melt the icy heart of the self-proclaimed queen. Perseus regarded the newcomer with interest, staring at the male senshi with icy eyes. She'd seen him before, briefly, when she'd managed to accidentally tackle him to the ground at the Halloween Ball. Her attention had been drawn away pretty quickly by a certain Negaverse Lieutenant. A battlefield wasn't the place to chitchat, but the more minds brainstorming effectively and the less people throwing around magic wildly the better. "So its likely she's from the furthest reaches of the galaxy then?"

She still had no information that was particularly helpful for her. She did find the seemingly vast amounts of knowledge that Kurma had interesting though. Perseus wondered for a few seconds if she'd ever be able to get him to tell her stories. Kurma looked like the type to have stories.

Assuming he wasn't completely crazy he'd just seen his 'Claws' explode into something vastly larger than normal, and he wasn't entirely sure that it had much to do with him, and the exploding lighter was pretty good conformation.
It was an impressive show however, and he wasn't above wishing he and the other Senshi could collaborate on an attack against their icy foe.

"NOBLE CLAWS OF THE LION!"

Ok it hadn't been terribly impressive last time, but he had to try -something-, and there was so much chaos he wasn't sure what else to try.
