Mired with the group, Laiha continued on and crossed the threshold of the forest. The wooden bridge was shorter than it had looked...

If there was a way to traverse this distance faster, Adelle had been left in the dark about it, and apparently so had the Halloween-goers ahead of her. Sometimes the tracks she followed grew indistinct and irregular, the earth creased or laid open in places like the forest itself was moving, pulling rooted trees from their beds and flinging them at the intruders. But that sounded idiotic, even to her. The most experience she had with living woods were dryads, and their breed wasn't exactly built for this kind of weather, much less withstanding the JOY that pervaded it. Besides, even if they were dealing with resilient tree nymphs, their movements would have been less erratic; but that still didn't explain why she stumbled across what resembled a scuffle from time to time. If the students weren't fighting amongst themselves, they were definitely being harried by something.
Kneeling with her back protected by a pine, the gorgon considered the path ahead more carefully, taking note of the differences. The outlines of paws mingled with footprints, sprinkled with the occasional, rounded impression that puzzled her. Hooves? She remembered the ghostly deer and her frown deepened, but these appeared far less delicate, and if she considered it seriously, the reindeer's feet had never touched down once in its attack. Placing a hand forward with her fingers splayed out to their fullest, it was clear that this hooved thing was also larger than the deer had been: the indentation in the damp dirt spanned wider and fuller than comfortable four-legged footsteps. Hopefully not some steroid-upped version of what they had already fought, though she and her group had knocked the teeth out of that threat fairly quickly.
Rocking out of her crouch and back into a stand, she resolved to keep going. A sudden ripple of motion out ahead of her had her stiffening, gloves squeaking as she shaped fists and lowered her head to charge. Breaks between the trees let her see that it was just another straggler student giving chase, and she relaxed a degree or two. Maybe she wasn't as far behind as she'd thought. Tempted though she was to call out, she restrained herself and merely continued onward, picking her way across the soft terrain and hoping that this slow march wouldn't go on for much longer.

Coat! She had a coat. A nice long one at that. Candlejack that was better.. She'd happily taken the offered garment from Tybalt and slipped it over her shoulders, pulling the dark fabric closed and buttoning the thing clean up to her chin. "Thank, Tybalt. So much." Was she gushing? Maybe a little, but he'd just given her a -coat-
Not half so cold as she was moments before the marid's shaking slowed and gradually came to a stop. Of course all the warmth is the world wasn't going to fix her exhaustion, but she was going to focus on one problem at a time.
A buzzing at her hip drew her attention, and slipping her hand within the coat she came up with her phone. Braum had txted back. Sniffing sharply, she flipped the screen up once again to respond, a smiling tugging at the corner of her mouth. -I won't but the world appears to have fuzzy edges and my feet weigh twice as much as they did yesterday.- She paused, listening in on the conversations around her. Apparently they were almost out of the forest, and there was some differing opinions on which way they should head. -Which route are you taking, we can meet up right out of the forest.- She pushed the button to send it, then began another, this time to Belle. -nearly made it though, the trees weren't interested in me. Hope you're safe. Ask Braum which route to take. We'll meet up out of the forest.- Sent.
A glance at her inbox showed no missed messages. That wasn't comforting.

It felt like it was taking forever to get out of this forest area, even if Myr knew otherwise. It only felt like it because they had kept getting attacked by random tree things, and because none of them really knew where they were going.
Sure, they had a map, and a vague idea of which way they needed to go, at least to get to the next section. They had apparently decided on the Sea Route, and he wasn't going to separate from them, not yet. There was a sort of safety net with a bigger group.
So, it was off to the Island of Misfit Toys for him. Hopefully nothing too bad would happen to them there.

Sepheran wasn't getting much closer to the group, but at least he wasn't lagging further behind either. He did pause momentarily though when he thought he heard the shuffling of other feet behind him. He turned his head in the direction of the sound and listened hard. It didn't sound like one of those crazy trees, but he wasn't sure what it was either. That thought made him quickly decide to get out of this forest as soon as possible and he set off back to the group as he made his way with them to The Island of Misfit Toys.

While still riding on Tybalt's face, Raziel had come up with his plan. He was tired of these good-for-nothing students and their crappy attitudes, so he was about to make his big move. With a sudden leap off the wolf's face, Raziel ran for it, and he ran straight for Candycane Lane.

In the end, Xi gave up on battling the tree and ducked under it quickly, running down the path towards The Island Of Misfit Toys following behind Laiha.

The whole argument between the students had left Astra quite confused. Shouldn't they have just kept moving by now? they had already been attacked by two more trees!
She then saw some of the students hadf started moving along one of the paths. Well, she had been sitting here freezing her butt off for quite some time, she was getting tired of it! And so, the Fae took off again, flying along the path towards The Island of Misfit Toys!

Tybalt huffed as the kid made his escape. Well good riddance! If he wanted to go commit suicide, he could go right ahead and do so. He was done trying to persuade the think headed idiot.
"No problem, Yaya." He replied to the djinn who still seemed quite happy about her new coat. Well, at least it became of some use in the end, she seemed to have stopped shivering now too.
They were on the edge of the forest now and there wasn't as many trees in sight. Hopefully that was a good sign, but he had his doubts about that. "Well, can't do anything but press forward, I guess. Shall we?" He asked the the djinn and walked on ahead, towards The Island of Misfit Toys.

Her messages sent, all that was left to do was wait for a response. Which, considering her entire group was moving on, was quite difficult. Getting to her feet, she stroked a hand down Tybalt's back as she fell into step beside him, though it didn't take the ghost dog long to pass her. It wasn't really as if she was trying to keep up, but merely walking for the sake of moving on. She wasn't in a hurry, she needed to know where Braum was so she could meet him, and she needed him to txt her back.
When Tybalt called back to her she glanced up from the glowing screen of her phone, frowning softly. "Ye-" It buzzed in her hands, drawing her attention back down to it. The mountains, that was where the raum was headed, so that was the direction she would go.
Pocketing her phone again(This time in the borrowed coat's pocket), she watched the whisped tail of Ty slip out of view. "Sorry, I can't go with you." Her voice was soft, the comment more to herself then anyone else, as she was too far away for them to hear. As the majority turned south, the marid turned north, and mustering up her remaining strength, she jogged up the path leading towards the mountains.
Yaya exits stage north. To the Mountains!

Gargantuan wasn't sure where any of his friends had gone. In truth, he was still feeling a little woozy after the unexpected smash and crash of the train car, and now his feet were cold. This white, powdery stuff was unpleasant, and as a monster of Halloween Town, this... joy or whatever it was was enough to make G uncomfortable. He was really a giant now, the bells jingling from one of his enormous hands as he plodded steadily on through the forest, streams of hot air drifting from his nostrils. It smelled... well, strange here, and the big swamp beast was rather timid about it all.
He wasn't too fond of being alone in unknown territory, either.
It wasn't long until he came across a familiar, green-snakey haired girl, and G brightened considerably before he increased his meandering stride, scraping and shouldering his thick body through trees and the like, ignoring the strange, pointy needles that scraped at his rubbery hide.
"Adeeeeelleeeeeee." He rumbled her name with something akin to glee, crouching down and splaying his webbed hands heavily on the ground on the moment so he could give her an affectionate nudge that would probably be hard enough to make her stumble. "You okay? No crash?" Even without eyes, he was looking her up and down with concern, snuffling audibly as though to seek out any cuts or scrapes she might have obtained in the chaos.
His ear fins wilted after another thought. "You find anyone else? They hurt?" That was important too, after all.
