It was clear she was destined to fail. no amount of anything she could do would allow her to finish this training with sanity intact. she, in vain, powered up to give herself further likelihood of failure. heaven help this poor woman.

she manifested the ki ball with ease, as she had enough credentials at this point to do so. she brought the ki ball of disappointment beyond her right temple as she aimed at the tree that was eluding her, and mocking her constantly. she had no hope of this shot working.

Small surprise as her ki ball melted before any progress of any sort could be made. she in vain manifested another ki ball, bringing it back beyond her opposite temple, hoping for a different result. are the readers beginning to notice a pattern here?

She crushed her ki ball. no use in attempting to fire such a pathetic ki attack. she was inconsolable. there was nothing in her mind but rage.Rage and determination. she flashed a ki ball in her left hand, and brought it behind her left ear. she didn't have enough energy to keep this up for much longer. she aimed at the tree, and prepared to fire.

That Ki attack was even more pathetic than the last. she crushed it within seconds of her putting it behind her temple. she had one last try at this, and she needed to make it count. she flashed the ki ball in her left hand, and pulled it back behind her right temple. she couldn't believe she only had ONE success this time. she was not optimistic about this shot.

Selena immediately crushed her ki ball. there was no chance in hell of it succeeding. she walked back to the Bacta tanks at a pissed off saunter. she couldn't believe that out of ALL the shots she made, only ONE succeeded.This was a sad,sad state of affairs. there was no explanation for what had just transpired; just anger, and confusion. she walked into the Bacta tank, and fired it up.

Selena couldn't define exactly where she was. it was all darkness and void. it did give her time to gather her thoughts. as she floated in the empty darkness, she reflected on what was going on.

Selena was trapped in the sub-sub-concious of her mind. she used the time to reflect, but didn't come up with any resolute answers. all she could think of to do was bull her way through it, and hope for the best.

Selena thought of her plans for the future, what she thought her role in the tenkuu no houou would be, and her role as a mother and quasi-wife. she was doing a lot of refelcting, and that was all she COULD do in this void.

She began wondering exactly what this void was, and why it was in her mind. what did it represent, what ties did it have to herself, and why it was in her to begin with. she didn't have answers to these questions, and didn't expect to get them anytime soon.

As soon as the door of her Bacta tank opened, Selena was running at a full sprint. she blazed through the crash site, and ran a full mile away as before. she stopped at the same point she had last time, and flashed a ki ball into her left hand.she brought it back behind her right temple, and she aimed at the tree that avoided her wrath for so long. she would complete her training, and this tree would be the latest martyr for her cause.

Selena's lips rose to a smile,as she brought the ki ball across her body, and crushed it in half. the half-spheres flew at the speed of retribution at the tree that haunted her for so long. she watched as the first half hit, making a fair crater in the middle of the trunk, and looped back around. the right did the same, and made splinters and blue sap fly out on impact. surely the tree had realized what was in store for it now as the sphere halves fused together, and flew at the deep crater in the trunk of the tree. it exploded upon impact with the crater, ripping the tree in half vertically. Selena took relish in every second of it, and already had a ki ball in left hand. she brought it behind her right temple, took careful aim at her next veggie victim, and prepared to fire.
