A. Pay it before she even sees the total.
After they were done and the footsie event had concluded, he was flying high. It lasted about two minutes until the bill came, the mustached waiter sniffing at him when he snatched it before it was plopped down on the table for all to see. His mouth went dry the second he peered at the receipt, hiding his face behind the open booklet and trying not to let the twitch he felt overtake his entire left side. There went a month's rent, he reflected, the expensive, tiny food curdling in his stomach as he surveyed the charges, all the precise little numbers making him squirm faintly. Who'd ever heard of thirty bucks for a split appetizer? He chuckled weakly, handing over his credit card and heading out once it had been taken care of. Maybe once he got home, he could scrape the green fuzz off the cheese in his fridge and have a real meal that didn't break the bank.

While he wasn't usually particularly... mean spirited, Steve couldn't help but feel slightly brave that night. He'd had the idea even before the check had come their way, and found it rather thrilling. As soon as the waitress had turned away from them, he'd grabbed Lust's hand and made a dash for the door!
He figured it didn't really matter since he was going to come back in the morning and pay what he owed anyhow. He'd simply done it in heat of the moment; didn't that always work in movies?
e. Grab her hand, dine and dash!

Ok, so dinner had been a little awkward, but her responses were definitely leaving him hopeful he was doing alright. She wasn't acting as sarcastic as she had been before, and he even though she was playing footsy with him under the table. Or she was kicking him, he wasn't sure. At any rate, she hadn't LEFT... which was always a good sign.
Somehow, despite the (mostly awkward) silence, before they knew it the waitress had come to give them the check. Before she could react (or perhaps she had just waited to see what he'd do,) he reached over to hand the waitress some money from his wallet, not letting either of them look at the total before the girl walked away to ring it up. That's just how dates went -- the guy pays for the girl. He wasn't THAT much of a recluse not to now how standard dating procedure went.
Still, in the back of his mind, the Lilith on his shoulder informed him he should have split the check with her 50/50. Like friends. Because, you know, he was SUPPOSED to be trying to date HER.

 STAGE EIGHT: GOOD NIGHT DEARAfter the meal, with the check dealt with and both of them satisfied, flushed, warm and full, Steve took Lust home, trying to figure out how well things had gone and what his chances were. It meant he was quiet and mostly-oblivious of her lazy-eyed, distracted stare until they crept back up her front steps to pause awkwardly at the door. She was laughing at him -- inwardly, yes, but definitely laughing at him, arms folded over her chest and mouth curled up at the corner. "Is this good night, then?" How does Steve say good night? a. A quick, dry kiss on the lips. b. Smooch her on the cheek, since it's expected. c. Lean in just a little and let her take the lead. d. Freak out and run at the last minute. e. Crudely suggest you continue the date…inside.

"So....So It was a good night and all but like." Steve had his fill tonight and although Lust had been super sexy, he really wanted to go home and think about Lus....no Lilith, REMEMBER LILITH STEVE, YOUR DATE!!

Oh sweet love of Jack, how far could a male be pushed? What did she expect of him, except of course he just couldn't kiss her. If it was Lilith then he would have probably gone in for that moment of passion...but it wasn't. Still he couldn't just leave her hanging there with nothing, and wow did she look...well he tugged his collar.
"Yes...goodnight I hope you had a nice night." He leaned in and brushed his lips across her cheek lightly. He had to struggle to keep his hands at her side and mentally he chanted. Lilith, Lilith, Lilith...

Poor Steve was nervous the entire way home. Palms were dry and it didn't help that the scooter was small so she was smashed up against him.
Standing out side he rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, uh. Thanks?" He wasn't sure what to do. He wasn't just going to leave. Nor did he want to stay. Quickly he kissed her on the cheek.
And bolted.

He hoped it went well. But when he finally noticed that she was looking at him with that bemused stare of hers... man, did he mess up that badly? Candlejack! Well, the best he could do now would be to salvage what was left the of the night. Sighing inwardly, Steve tried his best, but figured lust was better in this department and leaned in to let her take the lead.

He had to remember Lilith. She wouldn't like him kissing all up on some other girl, but what if no kiss meant a failure? To lose to Lust after so many before-- no, no. He leaned in slightly and closed his eyes, idly wondering if his date had a tentacle-rape tongue or something.

Well since this was supposed to be a date he figured a good night of some kind was expected. Steve leaned in and gave Lust a quick peck on the cheek, and hurridly leaned back. This was just a one-time thing, he didn't want her getting the wrong impression or anything!

Erk, Steve was looking at Lust as she was gazing at him laughing. He still felt nervous he wasn't sure how this date had gone for one and he wasn't sure what she expected of him.
"I suppose it is?" He replied softly questioning it himself. Glancing around the world for a second before leaning in, he'd let her dictate where it went.

Man this date couldn't have gone any worse could it have? He really liked Lust for more then her uh...boobs...anyway. Even if that was a big reason he was attracted to her. But he really felt he screwed it up this time. And as she leaned in to give him a kiss he turned redder then a tomato and with a squeak and a wave he was running inside and slamming the door in her pretty face. Only followed up to some bowing to the porcelen god from on onset of bad nerves...and probably the refried follyjox. He always wondered what happened to those after all.

This is so gonna get me in trouble with Lilith. But Steve wishes Lust a good night and leans into her and gives her a quick, dry kiss on the lips.
"I had a lot of fun tonight. Maybe we could do it again sometime?" Steve figures he might as well play this through to the end.
