Cat continued to pick up cards whenever she thought she could get away with it; if they didn't have their cards, then their ability to chase her would be severely limited if things went south. Even so, her calm demeanor was definitely going away; she didn't have the same senses that Reaper did, but her instincts were absolutely positive that things were getting infinitely more dangerous.
She was sure that she wasn't at the right room, though--not yet. Instead of the hum of countless computers, she smelled chemicals (drugs, and...other things) and people... some sleeping, some awake. What was going on, there? ... Anyway, there were some machines in the locked rooms, but not the sort that she was looking for. She was looking for a really, really big, central unit-- something that sounded like these things, but much, much bigger...

"But why do I have to go to the security room..." a small voice whined.
Rosie followed closely behind an older gentleman with bright, reflective glasses.
"Because It's time to relieve your other for a while. She's been watching everything for quite some time now." Miles Warren replied as he walked her down the hall. He looked down at her with a small smile. "Besides...I hear that Octavious isn't very happy with you as of right now."
The girl pouted. "Yeah...but he could mistake me for any of the others running around right now."
"True...but you have rather distinct qualities from the others. I'm sure he'd find you if he really wanted to." Miles replied.
Rosie shifted as they stopped outside a large door. "...he's not that mad...is he?"
Miles smiled a bit. "Don't worry about it my dear." he said gently, pulling out his card. He swiped it, then pressed his finger against one of the screens. The door clacked, and the door slowly slid back. "I need to go back and treat mister Carter. You should know what direction to take to get there. Miss Kelsey will be waiting for you at the end of the hall to let you into the Great Room."

ROSIE! Cat's mouth opened automatically, and she had to clamp it shut at the last second. This wasn't her Rosie, she reminded herself; this one probably didn't even know who she was.
Either way, the security room would be a good place to check out; that way, the could get a good look at what was going on in the rest of the building before they proceeded any further. We should follow the girl, she thought pointedly in Reaper's direction. She wasn't sure if he was still reading her thoughts or not, but it was worth a try; either way, he would probably catch on when she started trailing the child.

Reaper stared at Rosie for a moment as well. Something was...different than the little girl he had met before. Her skeletal structure...it wasn't bone. Not anymore.
He glanced over at Cat as he caught thought waves coming from her. He nodded, then carefully followed.
Rosie sulked a bit as she walked down the long hallway. One right....one left...third door down...then straight until you hear the hum of the big machines.
...she wasn't in that much trouble, was she? She really didn't do anything. She wouldn't have been able to do anything.
After a while, she came upon a narrow hallway with quite a few doors, and a few rather visible guns lining the corner of the ceiling. A woman with long, layered hair and blue eyes stood near the large metal door at the end of the hall. Rosie looked up at her. "Where's Miss Kelsey?"
"Taking care of one of the patients." the woman replied. "Come on. Let's not keep your other waiting."

Cat followed in on utterly silent feet, her eyes taking in everything with a kind of clinical detachment. Every once and a while, though, her eyes would flick back to the girl she was following, and a pang of guilt that verged on being physically painful would wash through her. Rosie... she couldn't hurt Rosie. Whether this was her Rosie or not.
So.... she would just check out the security room, learn what she needed to learn, and then leave. Hurting Rosie was completely unnecessary. In and out, and on to the main processing room.

Reaper followed, glancing curiously at the other woman every now and then. She...looked familiar. Like he'd seen her once or twice before. But, he couldn't put his finger on when or where. And he wasn't able to pop into her head to find out either. He wasn't too surprised at that though...if this place was trying to control superpowers.
After a hall or two, Rosie and the woman came to a stop at a large silver door. The woman knocked on it once and waited. When it opened, a small girl with red hair stood in the center of the arch. She looked a little annoyed. "What took you so long?" she asked.
There was quite a bit of clean-up work to do." she replied, walking inside.
The girl made a bit of a face and moved to let them in. A lanky black cat rubbed against the corner of the door, then curled around her legs. The other Rosie walked inside.
"I am going to need to check the surveillance. Since you never reported it." the woman said, moving to the computers.
Rosie shrugged. "I wasn't the only one. The first Octopus was all for chasing after him. But the other one made him stop and let the guy go on through."
The woman grinned. "Was it your idea not to say anything though?"
She shrugged again. "It's boring here. I guess it was entertaining in the end."
The Rosie with the inorganic skeletal system made her way over to the large snack cupboard and began shuffling through it.

While they were talking, Cat slipped inside and unobtrusively began looking at all the screens. Where... where... Suddenly, she stopped. There were rooms, and... Heroes. No one she really knew, but... some of them were kids. Teenagers.
Suddenly she stopped cold. Several cameras were pointed at someone in particular. Someone very familiar. Someone who was strapped down, shirtless, and... something was on his chest. It was obviously Reaper, and he was just as obviously completely unconscious.
Spinning around, she furiously thought in Reapers direction. GET US OUT. NOW. Something had already gotten him before; something could get him again. They needed to retreat, regroup, and come back with at least one magic user. Period.

Unfortunately, that wasn't an option now.
Reaper stared at Cat, a rather startled look on his face. He couldn't see the screens from where he was standing. And he couldn't sense that anything was that wrong.
Nor could he sense the man now standing behind him. Apparently as invisible to the others in the room as Cat and Reaper were.
A dark outfit, patch sewn into one eye, and the other...bright green and staring directly into Felicia's.

Cat's eyes widened as she froze, her own bright green eyes focused on the man behind him. Then they snapped back to Reaper's face.TELEPORT NOW! DO IT! DON'T ASK WHY! GET OUT AND COME BACK WITH AT LEAST ONE MAGIC USER! GO!

Reaper's eyes widened, and he tried to teleport himself over to Cat. If she was this freaked out, and he couldn't sense anything, he wasn't leaving her here by herself.
...but nothing happened.
His eyes grew wider, and he tried to shadow his way out. But nothing would move for him. Duplication? No. Nothing.
'I...I can't.' he thought back, the voice in his head sounding just as panicked as he felt.
He had noticed that she'd looked behind him, so he tried to move away from the door as quickly as he could. But that didn't happen either.
He couldn't move.
"I'm afraid he's going to have to stay here with us. You, on the other hand...are free to leave if you wish. Since you made my task so much easier by bringing him here. Make no sound, and the others won't even know you're here. The exit should be rather easy to find from this location." a deep toned thought said, directed at Cat. Obviously coming from the man behind the now immobile Reaper.

She didn't hear Reaper's panicked realization; she didn't have mind reading powers, and it seemed like his had been shut down. However, it was obvious enough what was going on from his face.
She DID hear the second voice, though, and bared her teeth, her eyes narrowing into furious green slits as her hands clenched into shaking fists. Was she that worthless? And she'd... she'd brought him... Was this her fault?
The next second, though, her fists relaxed, her shoulders slumped, and she gave the man a stiff nod before slipping out of the room. On her way past Reaper, she paused for a second, almost as though she was going to touch him or... something... but she continued on without meeting his eyes.
The next second, she was gone.

Reaper watched Cat's reaction, and watched her slip by him as far as he could. He couldn't move his head. It was beyond obvious now that someone else was here...magic user, had to be.
The voice he heard next confirmed it.
"Now then...lets get you into your cage, little Reaper." the being thought, at Reaper this time.
Reaper's eyes widened, and whatever adrenaline or heart beat he had suddenly stopped cold.
It...it sounded like X.
The man placed a finger on the back of Reaper's head, and a small spark jumped from it. Reaper's body jerked forward, then slumped to the ground, unconscious.

((Jeezus. O.o Quick question. Is X Clone going to be keeping an eye on Cat, or is she just completely beneath his notice? ... Because I REALLY hope its the second one, even if it is going to get her captured in the long run.))
