She had meant to try this again sooner. Really she did. Things happened, her life got busy, and she completely forgot about the shed that she almost got all the way through last time. Almost! She had been so close, she knew it! Well, it was time to try again! This was a good test of herself; a way for her to get stronger and to rely on herself. It was fantastic! Though she was shaking out of nerves, and her chest felt heavy in place of her beating heart...but...but she was going to do this! She had to do this. For herself.
Taking a deep breath, the Vetala started to creep forward again, hoping her luck would hold out once more.

Quote: 71-89 - Somehow you've made it nearly to the door at the back of the first area of the shed. You couldn't even see it from the front of the shed...you can hear a faint growling just behind you though, from the darkness you see a mist creeping across the floor and 3 pair of bright green eyes light up the darkness like will-o-wisps. Breck's hounds are back - you make a hasty exit before you're caught with the hounds hot on your heels. SO CLOSE. She was so close! Her memory served her well in the beginning - or even it was just dumb luck - but she did it. She got as far as she did last time! Though, like last time, she heard the hounds, she saw their eyes...and then that was it. Terrified of what would happen should Breck catch her, the Vetala turned and fled the way she came, making probably more noise in her surprisingly hasty escape than she had made on her way in. She fell twice, both times tripping over tossed aside items and a root, but terror made her quickly scamper back to her feet to continue to safety.

Oddly enough, she had been running from her class when Riley stumbled on the shed a second time. Oh, she recalled this place. She'd found an odd bra here, which was now being used as a lampshade in her domain. It gave off an eerie golden light in the room, it was very comforting.
She thought about all of this as she ran, without really thinking that, hm, perhaps slowing down might be a good idea. No, the choice to slow down didn't seem to be coming to her mind anytime soon. She was running into the shed at full speed. Who knows what she'd find.. once she decided to stop?

Riley had made it pretty far, after all. She'd only found reason to stop when she saw another student come barrelling towards her. She didn't know who the ghoul was, but the collision course was inevitable. Riley barely sidestepped her, and would have even tried to help the stumbling ghoul - if she hadn't gotten away so fast. Amrita left Riley standing there staring at her retreating figure, wondering exactly why she was running in the wrong direction.
Then she heard the growls.
Oh.
It was a good day for running.

Maritess doesn't know what she's doing there. Not really. She's been coming back every so often to try to see Breck but hasn't had much luck. It's mostly routine now, and she's half-expecting someone to pop up and point and laugh at her at this point. If it weren't for the fact that she was alone and it was probably her own flailing self-confidence sabotaging herself.
Oh for Jack's sake, Tess, lighten up!

She'd always been foiled by that blasted plant or that excessively sensitive trap door but now she was so close! Unfortunately because this was her first time to reach this far, her scent was especially unfamiliar to the guarding hounds and they detected her far too quickly for her to realize what was going on. Except for the fact that her brain was shrieking at her to FLY FLY FLY FLY FOR JACK'S SAKE FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AWAY!!!

Not too long ago, Colette had found a certain carrot outside of her window. It didn't take her long to figure out it was a 'shrieking carrot' to be exact, and although she tossed it to Mr. Blobby in exchange for a school supply, it turns out that carrot had a family; and that family popped up with such a vengeance once they caught wind of their member being gone, she couldn't sleep at all last night. Plants weren't her thing, so she only thought of one possible solution: There was a grounds keeper and he was supposed to take care of these kinds of things, right?
Colette approached the shed, hoping to find the staff member ready and willing to remove a carrot family. This is where he should be! Sadly, he was no where to be seen. The only thing left to do was go in and look for him.

This place was crazy! Colette had entered, just moving along and looking for the groundskeeper, while all kinds of strange things snipped in her direction. She had to kick and stomp on seeds with her heels and almost got nibbled on by a plant if it weren't for her swords growling for her to move on! She even caught sight of a trap door, what the heck was that there for? She hugged her arms around herself the whole way, not wanting to touch anything and wondering what other horrible things could be in here, until she found a door at the far back. She couldn't blame him if he shut himself in there, what with everything she saw out here!
Colette muttered to herself, "Thank Jack! Now to get rid of those carrots and sleep," before she grabbed at the handle, more than happy to go through and get it over with, and opened the door..

BAD IDEA WAS A BAD IDEA. Running out, Israfel cried on the inside, making a mental note to grab his flask before getting on the train later.

Idly, Gabrian decided that he would give the shed another try. Why not? What was the worst thing that could happen? After all, it WAS just a shed, right? Riiiiight....

Quote: 51-60 - You dodged the trap door hearing it creak under foot, but you just stumbled into the rack of gardening equipment. The shovel starts chewing on your head as the rake starts screaming about unfair conditions... run while you still can. Yeah, uhm. Apparently, bad, bad things could happen, that's what. He'd managed to dodge plants and trap doors (idly wondering when he'd managed to become so... deft at physical things - he'd always been pretty bad at all these things). Unfortunately, this time, he managed to somehow venture into the rack of gardening equipment. Days later, Gabrian would wonder how the hell it was even posible for a shovel, of all things, to chew on his head. He'd also find himself swearing he'd never look at a rake the same way again, though at least... he'd managed to get out of the damned shed alive, with only a mildly bruised ego, plus a slobbered head.

Those dogs terrified her, they really did. But the thought of being stuck in this particular body scared her even more. She didn't want to give up! She couldn't give up! It took her a week to convince herself to go back again, an entire week! It was another roadblock on the road to getting stronger, and getting out of this body. Like in that story of the little Hypnotoad; you know, the one that couldn't even possess a Fish Floresce? Yeah, that one! It grew up to be on a popular show! It certainly showed the other Hypnotoads. So she was going to buckle up (metaphorically speaking) and try again.
She had a point to prove to herself, and she wanted to make her friends proud of her...or to at least have a reason to stay proud of her.

Quote: 41-50 - You made it past the plant, the tree, and the seeds... you found the spring trap under the carpet. You're launched unceremoniously out the door. WELL THERE WENT THAT. Apparently she forgot about this one little trap! Oooone little trap.
The Vetala had landed flat on her back, but boosted herself up a little bit to stare at the door. Well, damn. There went that! Her previous attempts had boosted her ego and this was a fine little example to not get ahead of herself. Pouting at the door, Amrita rubbed the back of her head and set to bringing herself back to her feet. Well...it looked like she still had quite a ways to go. She would try again, maybe...

He hadn't been back in a while. After so many failed attempts, he almost figured it wasn't worth it to try to get into the shed. Every single time he'd kicked in that surprisingly-flimsy wooden door, he'd come out either bitten or bruised or cut or scraped or any other number of undesirable outcomes. The only good thing that had happened was the FIRST time he'd got in, he'd managed to obtain what may or may not have been Byrn's bra. Other than that... nope.
Shifting a little uncomfortably, he finally decided to risk it, sighing heavily and rolling his eyes. Whatever the prize was, it'd better be good.
