Vera blinked a bit, looking upwards slightly in thought without moving her head. "So it's like you have a special second ear...?" she asked slowly with a small frown as she glanced over at a couple that were making out, and then one shifted into a coyote and ran out. They weren't that far away, and a coyote would definitely have her Ozora's shout... Surely they would have...but it seemed they didn't. Frown deepening a little, Ryuu mrred a question and Greator swung his head around to look into her eyes. -What's wrong Sanah...?- the wyvern asked quietly, picking up her unease with his tail flicking impatiently. ...I heard him when others couldn't Derfai... she murmured back in dragon, and Greator blinked, obviously startled. Sanah and Derfai were titles of respect, something along the lines of Master and Familiar but a touch more personal, denoting a tighter connection but a looser relationship that wasn't as formal. Closing her eyes, she thought about what Ozora said, feeling slightly tired and muzzily slow... Raising a hand to her head as she felt a pressure build up, she looked outside with another absent frown as the pressure grew, almost painful now but not quite, buzzing behind her conscious recognition.

Ozora looked around then closed his eyes. He wanted to give Azure some time, but he didn't like waiting for the other. "Azure you're a slow poke." He commented to him a little more quiet. "If you don't come I may ripe your child to shreds." Ozora may have done it back when he was younger, but Azure didn't know much about the change.

"Sheesh, what an impatient one you always are, hurrai hurrai, I'm coming. If you thought to look, you might have noticed something odd about your companion. And what the hell do you mean my-..." came from Vera's mouth as she closed her eyes to try to will the uncomfortable pressure away. A man was then just standing there, piercing bright blue eyes looking out from under the blue hair, messily kept but still stylish and looking formidable. Looking about the same age as Ozora, the lightly tanned blue-robed figure was almost boyish compared to the Japanese/Chinese teacher, and after a quick cross-armed "Look" at the tiger, the guy spun and stared at Vera. Little one, waking up may be a good idea... the man commented in dragon after a moment where the elf had stilled, apparently asleep. Head whipping around to flash silver eyes at the man, the pressure almost intolerable now and not quite a headache, Vera opened her eyes in wide surprise, to also raise her eyebrows. "You....?" she asked curiously, not having heard Ozora's comment. Yes, I am the Great Dragon Azure youngling... Azure commented with a chuckle, turning to Ozora with a serious face.
I was already on my way, I was just tying up loose ends elsewhere you four-footed devil... he commented with a frown to Ozora in their own tongue, glancing aside at Vera who was merely watching them with a disbelieving look, obviously cynical if he was great as he said, or not. Sighing, he let his eyes stare into hers a moment more before shaking his head when he turned back to face Ozora. I was unaware her mother had survived... Though how you were able to discern she's my last child... he scowled slightly as Vera turned to look at the dragon coming off her back, her expression lessening a little as the snippity little wyrm bowed before Azure. Well hello, dear Cheefitz... I guess she's the one who has been Chosen then, that you're guarding her? he commented with a smile, patting the little dragon on the head and making the thing squirm around, practically dancing in delight as he answered the affirmative. Sad she doesn't seem to have Earth mastery, though... Hm Azure commented to himself, looking at Ryuu glaring at him and Greator gaining a defensive look. I don't think any of my previous children had links to animals, and she has TWO, and both very strong, interesting... You had better treat her well Ozora. So why DID you so unceremoniously summon me, anyways? Remind me to pay you back for that one later... the man commented with a scowl, before grinning to show long canines at Ozora. It's been a while, hasn't it? How long, do you reckon?
Vera frowned as the two spoke, eyes going unfocused slightly as she stared outside the window again, blinking every now and then as the pressure disappeared. Frowning at the multi-hued blue little dragon that seemed particularly happy, she shrugged it off, rubbing her sore back from where the little thing had practically exploded from her shoulders. Sighing to herself, she looked back down at the dictionary on her lap, and shook her head as she moved to put things away, grabbing a pad and pencil Ryuu handed her carefully to not poke through things. Looking at them, she couldn't follow what they were saying...quite...but she understood the general tones of the threat, and then that the threat was a half-joke. She merely stared back with not-quite-as-cynical eyebrows raised whenever Azure, apparently who it was, looked back at her, once or twice with a frown as well as to stare at the little dragonling. Sighing and puffing air through her lips, impatient and bored, Vera stared at the ceiling to jump when Azure peeked over her head with an amused smile and asked her something. "Hrm, pardon...?
(i was thinking YOU would originally pilot him, but let's share, yeah? XD so, what was his question? lol)
(or I can edit if you care to direct his personality to a slightly different one; i've kinda imagined him as the "rebel playboy" almost from Ozora's reaction s: lol but he's also serious about Vera being his last child...latest/last)

A smirked and looked at his old Fri-enemy. Ozora loved to piss Azure off. He even poked out his tongue at Azure. He was being rude to the dragon. "I don't get dragons." He commented about Vera's behavior. "Then again that devil must have been too hard to attack and take down." Ozora was one to talk. He hadn't been practicing much for years. He could still defend himself, but it may take a while to bring down an enemy. Then they language changed and Ozora changed with it. The older you got the more languages you learned. After thousands of years the guardians had to adopt new languages to live. "She told me that she was orphaned." He told the dragon about her mother. It seemed that he was indeed her father. "She's pretty good at wind, I'm just better. Having animal companions is also pretty good. Not Bad. Better than you." The tiger teased. It was hard if children were to surpass their parents. "Don't worry I'll treat her right. I'm her teacher after all I'll make sure she has tons of homework."

(.....what devil?? lol)(never mind, found it XD was talking to Ozora....)
Azure's lips twitched in amusement. I was talking about you, you know... he commented, remembering their off-and-on rivalry and friendship, if only because of having opposing elements. He glanced back at her, and sighed. It is good if she exceeds me... The world has gotten too complicated, no longer as simple as we were meant to handle. I have mainly kept to my own affairs, I am not as free to roam as you, my old friend and rival... Azure commented, placing his hands behind his back and staring at the ground, his pensive serious side that made him a good Guardian over earth showing. But don't tell me you have forgotten our deal! You can't get out of it; she's my last child, her mother the last to catch my interest and the last of her clan. She is also the strongest, if you haven't noticed she's the only one born with bits of her father; her preoccupation was me searching through her memories. She has had an interesting life, and you can NOT get out of it now, Cub... Grinning, Azure sketched an ironic bow to Ozora, leaving the last jab at Ozora to help make him remember the deal they had made oh so many years ago to help them deal with a changing world.
Vera just blinked as Azure disappeared, hand out to pet her Guardian's head and body. Face serious, she looked up at Ozora with blue-tinged silver eyes, her memories returned...and her telepathy. All the sounds in the library had gotten louder, the scents stronger, and basically everything affected her more. Moving her head to her raised knees, she held her hands over her ears as she just started shaking, silent tears trailing down her face as she remembered what she had forgotten. "Too close..." she muttered to herself, suddenly up and running from the library, gone before anyone to finish chastising her. A small breeze followed her, whipping Ozora's hair and making Greator and Ryuu close their eyes in reaction. Then they were after her, as she ran to the gardens.

"What stupid agreement did I make with you and we're the same age. We were born at the same time. That makes us pretty much brothers." Ozora snapped then he noticed that it was just him and Vera. "Damn you Azure. I'll get my revenge." He mumbled before the girl started to run. Was it something he said or was it Azure. What was the promise be made. Ozora started to look at the clues that he had been given. It was long before it hit him. The mans mouth dropped. "She's my wife!" He exclaimed. This time the whole library could hear and he got the glares. Ozora started to run after her. She couldn't have gotten far.

A handful of hours later, Vera entered the library, completely calm again. Weird...same day I learn I am betrothed, who my father is, and apparently I'm expected to marry a teacher...who's as old as my father is supposed to be. Would that be like marrying my uncle? Ach, hideous thought... she was thinking to herself, going to the Mythology section again. Hand on her pouch, she couldn't help stroking it at the thought of the gold inside. Stop that! Behave... she thought to herself with a frown as she ran her fingertips lightly against the spines of books to look in, going with the thick one she had had earlier before it was shown her father really WAS a Great Dragon. Though now he was labeled, she couldn't help but feel the need to check if he WAS one of the absolute first dragons. "Curse language barriers..." she muttered as she looked at the Western texts...which she could read fairly easily...versus the Eastern scrolls in Japanese and Chinese primarily, as well as what she would guess was Korean... "Grrr..." Vera muttered, going for the dictionary to curl up in the same chair as before, completely alone this time as Ryuu and Greator had opted to stay with Aurora. The little dragon guardian she liked to call by her own little nickname hissed in her ear, making her rub the side of her head on her shoulder to get rid of the tickling feeling. Guesss who'ssss here....you're husssband to be... Rolling her eyes, Vera kept her gaze on her book. "Hey, um....do you terribly mind helping me with this...?" she asked, shifting uncomfortably in her chair as she looked up to see Ozora standing there. the half-elf blushed, thinking about what was probably expected of them, and quickly looked down to scowl at the kanji again.

Ozora stepped forward. He spent most of his time in the library when he wasn't teaching or in a meeting. The man leaned over and looked at the paper. He took a good look of it up and down a few times before turning to her. "You're going to learn how to read kanji when we get married." He told her. It was a promise kind of think. "What part do you want me to read?" He asked her.

"I want to learn it NOW, if at all possible...without necessarily having to get married, first..." Vera almost growled, staring at the book. "Here, let's do it this way; I'm trying to track just HOW old you guys are, and see maybe if he started the Dragon race. How about you read, I write...?" Vera said, staring at the kanji. "You seem more in a hurry to get married than me, and you would think having the years on me you'd be the one who would be OKAY with waiting..." Quirking an eyebrow at him, Vera's mouth had a half-smile of amusement. "Which reminds me... What does this symbol mean, and does the necklace or gems have any magic I should know about?" she asked. Most people would be concerned about the magic, but as she had found she was highly resistant to most magic from being a dragon, she put that aside in order to indulge her curiosity.

Ozora took the scroll and looked at Vera. Did she really think he was in a rush to get married. It wasn't really that way. If it took them fifty years then that was fine with him. "I'm not in a rush to get married, in fact if I didn't lose to Azure I wouldn't have to get married." He answered her. "I can't go back on my promise. I lost while gambling." He added. "Azure wasn't the first dragon, there were many dragons created before we were. We are only as old as man." He answered her about their real age. That made them about three million years old. "Baihu is my real name. My first name." The man told her.
