Holly Valentine ❤ ❤ ❤

Holly turned around and grabbed a key, before doing the paperwork. "Yeah maybe, goth chicks are fat and all, they probably don't like how fit I am. Not my fault that I do weight lifting since cardio is for stupid fat people that think that walking for half an hour will let them lose weight and make up for all the hamburgers they eat. Then again, fat people are supposed to be jolly, hmmm..." She said, completely unaware that he's flirting with her. Main reason she used to be a bar skank, she was awful at understanding flirting. Wait, do fat people even exist in Nirvani? "Okie dokie, I just need your name. Unless you gave me your name already, then I need it again, because I wasn't paying attention one bit! It doesn't even have to be a real name, hell I don't care if you're a series murderer slash rapist from the UK on the run after raping and murdering a whole kindergarten of underprivileged orphan children on a school trip to the zoo. Also: raped the bunnies!" Holly gasped dramatically, then raised an eyebrow. Did they even have bunnies at the zoo? Oh well, some kind of small critter was raped during that field trip by this man, that's for sure.

The Sleeping Dragon Inn was Loyal's last stop for the day. Then she had to get back to the Orchard and finish the chores for the day. It was exhausting doing all the work herself, but she was used to it once her Grandfather got ill on her family's farm. After she introduced herself to all the local businesses, Loyal would start putting fliers up or perhaps put an add in the paper requesting applicants. Walking into the lobby, Loyal took a moment to admire the beautiful Chinese artistry. Everything looked so intricate and well polished. Loyal hoped that she could fix up the Orchard to look as stunning as this place. Her slate gray eyes fell upon a man at the front desk signing up for a room. Looping her fingers around her satchel, Loyal waited patiently for them to finish before approaching the counter.

Xavier stopped and looked at the girl oddly. Rapist murderer from Britain, really? He shook his head alittle and smiled again "Xavier Creed and I'm not a rapist nor am I a murderer, trust me" Xavier said with a warm smile "Plus I wouldn't harm a bunny, they are harmless and peaceful." He put the money back into his backpack and smiled back at Holly "Anyway, dear Holly, if you ever want some company, I would love to keep a beautiful girl like you company anytime." He said with a wink and smile.

"Trust you? I just met you, trust is something that has to develop after you gave me a reason to trust you. Willingness to trust and actually trusting isn't the same thing, so you can't expect me to trust that you aren't a rapist, murder, or a member of PETA!" The last bit was because he wouldn't harm a bunny, which is very willing to do for her dark lord. ******** bunnies, and ******** PETA! Holly handed the man the keys. Instead of responding to his flirting, she kept ranting. "See, I know I can't trust you for killing bunnies now. What if there's a psychopathic rapist murder bunny who eats children in a totally-not-sexual but more cannibalistic fashion? I can't trust you to kill him, you wouldn't hurt a bunny!" She put the paperwork away, but kept going. "Someone should assume whatever until they show you otherwise, if not we would just be naive and stupid, and probably end up like Kade or Ellie. It's what keeps me from being killed in masquerades. Well, that and not being invited to parties." Why does no one want Holly to go to their parties? They invited everyone in her family besides her!

Holly, now basically done with him, turned to look at the new person, and asked; "Hello, can I help you with anything?"

Xavier blinked acouple times at Holly and took his keys, could a person be so oblivious? He slowly walked away, every couple steps looking back at her, still in shock. He didn't wanna say anything else, worried about what else she would say. He looked back at his keys and then went off to find his room and settle down for the night.

Crimson pulled the door open after a relatively long walk in the pouring rain. It didn't need to be that long, but, once again, he found himself not being able to find the place he was going to. He refused to bring it up, he acted as though he were taking the scenic route. In the rain. Yup, that made sense. For all she knew, Australians could love the rain, hopefully she didn't know much about them. He followed in shortly after her and thanked the nice NPC for showing them to a nice booth. He sat down and smiled across the table at her, giving another thank you to the NPC waiter that brought them their menus. "Order whatever you'd like, lassie. I've got the tab." He smiled and started looking over all of the food, he was definitely getting him a big, juicy, bloody steak. He meant to ask her some riveting questions about herself, but now was the time for food. Not small talk.

Natalia was thoroughly soaked by the time they reached the inn, though she didn't really care. This wasn't a real date, anyway. She didn't have to impress anyone! Especially since this guy was still eager to talk to her even though she had mocked him and laughed right in his face. The guy had balls, she had to respect that! She had been relatively quiet during the walk there, mainly because she was too busy watching her jeans grow darker and darker. And, of course, she had to purposefully step in every puddle they passed. The silence still continued as she followed him through the restaurant, looking up at the decorations with interest. She pulled her ponytail as forward it would reach and she wrung it out, much to the waiter's dismay (she was getting the floor wet!).

Taking a seat across from Crimson, Natalia paused when he offered to pay. "Really?" she asked in surprise. "Dude, I like you more and more. Now, what's the most expensive thing here~?" she broke into a grin as she opened the menu. She hadn't eaten in a place like this in forever! Or, at least, since her eighteenth birthday.

Crimson had decided on the Victorian in a matter of seconds, and a side salad and some mashed taters. He was extremely pumped for this dinner. He had only been eating out of cans at his little cottage, didn't have any need with only him to go out. It just looked rather embarrassing to eat by yourself, or at least he thought. He couldn't help but laugh again at Natalia's comment, especially the way she spoke. "Yes, really, mate. I wouldn't be a proper gentleman if I didn't, lassie." He gave his little tidbit of elderly wisdom and was about to go on to tell her that if some man didn't want to pay that he was just a sack of--- when he decided against it and thought he'd get back to his initial purpose for all of this. Meeting someone new. "Tell me a bit about yourself, lassie." He smiled at her, ordering himself a tea. He looked around the inn, it was truly a nice little place. Much better than being out in the rain anyway.

Natalia, the gentle, kind-hearted, and considerate lady that she was, had decided to go with the most expensive thing on the menu that she could recognize -- lobster, of course! If this guy was paying, better not let it go to waste! She was just a poor teenager, she didn't get to eat in fancy restaurants! Not that this was fancy by any means, but... Natalia didn't care. She set aside her menu and laced her fingers together as she looked at Crimson expectantly. Because that was what high class ladies did! "Me? Uhm. Okay. I'm Nat." You had already said that, retard. "I moved out here just recently with my dogs." And, you know, your best friend. "And some bum named Rory, but he doesn't count. Ever." ...Yeah, whatever. At least you had the decency to mention him. "I work as an assistant for a bunch of a crazies. And a catgirl," she smiled as she explained. Yup, that was pretty much Natalia in a nutshell. "What about you? You're pretty old, right? You probably have some interesting things to say." What a charmer.

Crimson nodded as she began talking. Yeah, he knew her name. He also knew that she was new. He however didn't know that she had dogs, that was common ground. He could talk about dogs to pass the time after the initial awkward getting to know each other passed. But, why in the world did she live with a bum? That was just strange. As if the bum wasn't bad enough, he was forced to tilt his head as she said she worked for a bunch of crazies. Well, that was just strange as well. Surely she had lots of good stories about her work with them! But, then her words really sank in. The catgirl had to be Catrina. Which meant the crazies were the Murrows. "I had a run in with the catgirl and her brother at the vet clinic, mate." He nodded after saying it and ordered his meal to the random NPC waiter, taking a sip of his tea once they had been placed. She brought up his age; oh, how he hated talking about his age. "Ay, I am rather old, lassie. Twenty-eight. But, I don't really have very many stories out of the ordinary, lassie. Grew up in Australia, mate. Is that interesting?" He thought maybe a different place would be intriguing, after all, people from other places intrigue him.

Oh, good, he had understood. Natalia liked Crimson more and more. People were so hard to deal with, simply because they needed explanations to keep up with Nat's way of speaking. But this guy... He was sharp! She smiled brightly at him, though it didn't take long for the smile to falter slightly as he... A vet? Did he mention the vet clinic? "You're a vet? That's so cool! I can get a discount 'cause I know you, right?" she asked excitedly. She could save a lot of money if she could get a discount! Oooh, or even get it all for free? She'd have the healthiest dogs on the island! But she'd be polite and wait before haggling for free healthcare for her pets. "Okay. Nine year difference, that's pretty cool," she shrugged before ordering her food and taking a sip from her soda. "No way, Australia? Did you fight dingos? Or kangaroos? Or koalas?" Those were the only Australian animals that she knew. That was a lucky break for Crimson, because otherwise she'd list them all~

The walk to the Inn was pretty quick, since it really was just at the end of the block to the left of the school~ Zhi had walked on ahead of Elliot the whole time, not expecting her to actually get lost when they really only needed to head straight. Plus, it was her brother's work place – of course she must know the way! Zhi only knew it because there was a chance River could be there~ So, for when she was in her early stages of then-unrequited affections and wanted to watch her for a few hours, the Inn was among the first places she checked, right after River's work place and home. The way was already etched into her memory! Not that Zhi actually liked the building.. and neither did Mao, for that matter, as both would call it cheesy. It was so excessively done, like some Chinese-fast-food restaurant! If River wasn't here, Zhi would have probably left.. Then again, there was a good chance that she would stay anyway. Judith's written comment on her weight was kind of bugging her – a lot. Even if Elliot didn't think she was fat, what if someone else did and.. and how would she become an idol if she was chubby?! Learning how to cook properly could be a good thing – especially if she wanted to make homemade meals for River someday! Alex may even know exactly what the blonde loved to eat~!! Even if her love wasn't here, she was assured to stay! The girl stopped just inside and looked around.

It was pretty quiet – two people in the restaurant.. Oh! That was that one guy! She waved at Crimson, remembering the old man from a few festivals where she was bored out of her mind and left to stand around at the sidelines until it was done. While she greeted him from the entrance, she looked back at Elliot, “Your brother's working today, right?” She questioned and, without waiting for a response, headed straight for the kitchen doors in the restaurant section of the inn. “Alex?” She called out with her hand holding the door open and leaning inside, glancing over the back room for the man.

Alex had been busy cleaning dishes and the like all day; since the inn had been severely understaffed, he found himself doing small things like this that most professionals wouldn't even consider doing! A TV was on, though he wasn't watching; he just had it on for background noise. Despite the busy work of washing dishes and juggling that with people's orders, he was actually pretty relaxed. Being at work can do that. However, when he heard a girl's voice in his kitchen, he nearly dropped the pan he was scrubbing. Of course, his first guess was Holly (he had been avoiding her since that weird letter ended up in his mailbox) so when he saw it was Zhi, he couldn't help but be relived. Confused, but relieved. "Oh... Zhi, right...?" he began, but then he noticed Elliot standing there too.

"...Hi, Alex." she greeted him blankly, walking into the kitchen. The man stared at her for a while. "...But... school?" His baby sister was cutting the first day of school! He knew he wasn't a great guardian but this was ridiculous!

Elliot turned to look at Zhi. "It's career week. You're supposed to teach Zhi cooking."

Alex wasn't sure if he had heard her correctly. Why hadn't he heard anything about this? Not that he cared, but... How random!

Ah, the man was there! ..Of course, he was the only one there, but Zhi didn't expect the place to be very active.. Really, how often did people come out to eat at the Inn? Home made dinners or something quick at the cafe or bakery was much more likely for anyone who wanted something to eat. Though, Zhi did neglect to think of the people staying at the inn but, really, who was still visiting? This was a horrible place for tourists! She looked over he kitchen and smelled the soap in the air – ah, he must be washing dishes~! ..That seemed really boring. Zhi always left her dishes for Mao or.. someone at the house to clean up. Zus or Ayil, she didn't know, but one of them was doing it. Regardless, she just hoped Alex wasn't going to try and get her to do something stupid like that. Chefs didn't wash dishes! Well, Alex did, but he was probably boring and liked stuff like that.

She nodded at Alex when Elliot looked to her, taking that as he cue to step in and continue, “Yes, I'm assigned to a Chinese food chef, which is you.” She repeated when he looked a little slow on the uptake, “I don't know why they did it either.” She added after a second of a pause, figuring she should clear up any surprise. It just seemed like it was a random pair up, really. “Oh.” She looked back at Elliot to see if she would bring it up, but she didn't give her the chance before she went on with her eyes returning to Alex, “Where would a mortician work? Elliot is paired up with the mortician, but she doesn't know where to go.” Well, Zhi didn't know where to go, she wasn't sure if Elliot knew or not. But, it was just safest to assume not because.. well, because Zhi didn't know. That just went in a complete circle, but it honestly was as simple as that!

(( D: Ack. ..Well, I suppose we can just consider this two different timelines? >.> ..And.. Zhi/Crimson saw eachother on both timelines since Zhi came over for river before and Crimson just.. came for a quick bite to eat? ...If Synny is okay with that explanation. ^^; ))

...Zhi had been assigned to learn Chinese cooking? Well, wasn't that kind of racist? It confused the hell out of Alex, too, since even though he had specialized in Chinese/Asian cuisine in school and in general, he was in no way an expert... His results at the cooking festival proved that. Nope! Nope! Not gonna think about that disaster again. He was almost fully recovered from the humiliation. He didn't want to fall into an embarrassed depression again, especially not in front of Zhi. Thankful, she soon mentioned Elliot's assignment... And he burst out laughing. "Elliot got assigned to a mortician? Of course, she'd be perfect for that sort of thing!" he chuckled. Probably the only person who wouldn't find his sister creepy would be someone who works with the dead! "You'd probably want to go to the church or something. I don't think there's a separate funeral home here," he said, shaking his head slightly with a grin. Oh, that was just what he needed! A distraction! And that was a hell of a good one.

...Oh, that was right. Now Elliot remembered what a mortician was! She wasn't sure what she thought about it. Sure, she didn't like death, but she had never been around a dead person, so how was she supposed to know? She had never tried it! "...I see. I'll try to find it, then..." she replied softly. "...Good luck, Zhi." she added after a moment of thought, giving Zhi a supporting? blank stare, before wandering out of the kitchen to go find the church.

Alex watched her leave, though he was a little disturbed by her lack of emotion. Shouldn't most teenage girls be grossed out by the sort of thing? He had just assumed that Zhi didn't know what the word meant, since she had to ask where to find one. But it didn't matter any more. He'd find out how it went later. He was supposed to teach Zhi cooking. Even though he found teaching kind of tedious, she wasn't the worst student he could get, and it would give him something to do, since things had been even slower than usual. "You ever cooked before?"
