I think 1000 words is a fair number. I could get that in one post if I really tried. Besides, it'll help people who are weaker with their roleplaying skills to improve. :3

That is a good point Tao. The problem for me is that I don't like putting tons of unnecessary details in my posts, so it makes it harder for me to create a lengthy post.

That's my point, some of us can get 1000 words done in like 1-3 posts, while others will take like 10 due to the fact they are more of the to the point people, not meanderers.
lower the words requirements and it will be alright.

Tonight is the night we become great! The Stars will show us the way! A thousand sounds most fair. It's not just improving role playing skills, however it is helping with actual writing skills. xD I mean... no one ever wants to write more than is necessary, which is a disappointment.
All can use work, always. Tonight is the night we become Great! The Stars are what gave us away!

I'll drop it to 900. That's also because, to the human mind, 900 sounds better than 1000.
But I like how Grogan has put it. Gro, would you like to create the rules for your stat system? Like what number ranges each can use, etc? I'll put how to train them and all, of course.

I just don't believe it's necessary. You know me, I have trouble beating around the bush just talking.

But think about it in real life. When you're living, do you JUST worry about what you are saying, and concise actions? Or are you also taking note of what's around you, so you can react to it? Same with writing. Your character is ALWAYS doing something other than JUST talking, or JUST moving. It isn't "unnecessary" at all to put such info in, it makes it where people don't just skim over what you are writing. Personally, if all there is is words and actions in a post, I get bored reading them and often don't pay attention to them.
That's just me, though, I suppose.

Tonight is the night we become great! The Stars will show us the way! Lan put it in a good way. Noting things is just what people do. Like.... If you show up in a hoodie. The only reason why noticing it wouldn't matter, is due to sensory memory, in which we discard that which would be unimportant, technically.
Therefore, having an OC note that there is a green sweater tied around someone's waist isn't that unnecessary. Tonight is the night we become Great! The Stars are what gave us away!

Hm... My main reason is because the 'Talking Heads Syndrom' is annoying. xD

Sorry for the double post, but I find these to be the most useful writing tips I've ever found. They're pointed toward story writing, but when you think about it, is roleplaying really all that different? These are like a collection of summaries of all those useless 'How to Write' books in a fun and easy way to read:
OokamiKasumi's Writing Tips and Tricks
If anyone's interested. ;3
Sorry for the spam. xD
